    They could lie -- brb need to take a ****, brb need to see who's at the door, whichever..

    But short of living in a high rise apartment/condo with no balcony and a no smoking indoors policy, smoking shouldn't take 10 mins.

    yea ive had this happen a lot when i FCed more... seems like it was always the barb too lol. get to the exp room and then he would say "brb smoking" ... its like, omg, we're so close to ending it, cant you just wait? lol.

    I'm a heavy smoker and I NEED that smoke when I FEEL like smoking, mainly because of this pressure in my chest that's driving me insane.

    I don't care if you're at the last pull, I'm gonna smoke right then and there...literally, because I smoke in front of my PC, so you won't be getting any AFK messages from me.

    The problem is people going afk for something that can easely wait (well unles your addicted ofcourse, but that's your own problem), and basicly saying 'I'm going afk, and you can all *** of because I feel like it'

    No problem if you need to go to the bathroom, or the phone rings, or whatever, but just going because you feel like it is simply being an idiot

    Wtf? I'm a smoker too but I don't feel I NEED a smoke when I'm doing nothing but sitting in front of the comp. I understand it's probably different for others, but man imagine being someone who needs it that bad and can't because they are at work or something. Wow. And if I did feel like smoking, yes I would do like Abstractive and smoke right at the pc.

    You know what is worse? When people afk right before something just to loiter on their facebook.

    I don't kick em. I just make sure they're in range of AoEs... and have the cleric heal everyone BUT the AFK person.

    If they have an actual reason for it, sure they can do it cause I can understand, but pretty much going AFK for the sake of AFKing = lolno

    Afkers should have a better reason to afk then needing to smoke.

    My cleric looks awesome in any position.

    Do not kick someone for being afk unless its been over 5 minutes.

    Smoking is no excuse to afk; my boyfriend smokes quite often, and he does it while playing.

    On the other hand, I have had a sin in FC before who kept going afk for sometimes up to two minutes because he was busy texting/receiving texts on his cell phone. He died enough times that he finally got a clue and put his phone away.

    Not to inject nostalgia into this thread but it used to be common to take a smoke break, usually following Messenger of Fear or the shade following him, when an average FF run used to take 1.5-2 hrs.

    Well, when it's the leader that goes afk, it's a bit messier. I've been in squads where the leader abruptly went afk for 30 minutes without notice.
    I am Olba. Not Ol, not Baze nor Blaze. And even less would I go by Olblaze. Please, take a second to read a person's username.

    Truth.

    I was part of an almost perma-squad tho and we were on vent together so I guess it wasnt so annoying to others since most of us smoked lol.

    I don't like smokers, for example blood rain. He/She tries to kill me by blowing her toxins into my air so I breath them and die. I don't like this so I boot all smokers from squad cause they try to kill me on purposeb:bye.

    Of course not. I just don't understand why this is a thread or the point of it. I don't smoke myself and find it disgusting, but to make a thread about people afking for a smoke in FC?

    ^ It's fairly common. Not terribly common, but enough to where by the time you're 100 you should have run into at least a few constant afkers/smokers/ppl with irregularity/dead family members/drowning fish in the fish tank between bosses or at specific, typical "afk" points like just before dread, just before runewolf, just before big room or after heads/fragrance.

    One less of these threads means one more qq topic..
