Tanking - Who does it?

On the class info both Blademasters and Barbarians are tanks. After looking into both forums on those classes it seems BM don't have any guides or posts about tanking. I've also asked a few times and it seems sins tank more often than not. So who does tank most often endgame (Physical bosses and trash mobs)? Who is most equip in terms of available skills of the classes to tank? If sins (Assassins?) and Blademasters are tanking how well do they do it compared to a skilled Barbarian? Which class has the highest P Def bonuses from skills?

    The only class with tanking skill are barbarian.
    But the game flaw make barbarian tanking skill *sort kind* of useless at end game because of 5 aps.

    5 aps = tank

    Bm and Assass is the only class that naturally has the best advantage over 5 aps or 5 attack / seconds.
    Mean they deliver 5 attack in 1 second. Most melee class and archer can reach high enough aps.

    Barbarian agroo modifier can't match 5aps damage output. And everyone this day power level to 100+, you can say the game now jump straight to end game. Which make people think barbarian is useless other than for buff slave.

    5aps also create problem for dd class such as wizard, since their 1 hit nuke dealing less overall damage compared to 5 aps in pve.

    p.def = bm, wizard
    def level = seeker, psychic
    avoid death & magic = assassin

    It's really mostly assassins and blademasters that do the tanking now. Barbs are indeed just secondary only because of the APS craze. Above poster basically summed it up.

    It's cool to go APS because of how well the damage output is, but if you do choose to, be prepared to spend quite a bit to acquire all the gear necessary to become 5 APS.

    So the entirety of tanking now belongs to a game design semi-flaw (if it was built on purpose then it is poor design if it happened by carelessness its a flaw)?

    end-game tanking, yes. i don't believe it's possible to get 4/5 APS until quite late levels, above 90 if not even higher. so long as nobody in the squad is that high level, then tanking can still work the old school way.

    problem is, the game is so mature you'll seldom run a squad without a level 100+ member anymore, and many many players rush through to 99-100 or so in no time at all.

    Lenie has basically summed it up. Not really a game flaw, but players have taken advantage of the possible APS gears out there and made themselves 5.0 deadly killers. I mean, the squishy sin was supposed to be squishy, but now, with 5.0 aps and super gear, tanking is no problem for them with bloodpaint. Same goes for BMs.

    Most of BHs I've been in have an high level tanking/soling everything,so...nowdays you rarely seen a Barb actually tanking something lol.

    I remember the old times when a BH squad would require a Barb at all cost because they were too scared to let a BM or another class to tank,now aside FCC and some TT as a Barb when you join a BH squad you feel like you're taking out DD power lol b:surrender.

    You can't even be surprised of people getting in their first real FCCs at 75/80 that act completely dumb...that's what you get when you babysitting newbies soling all their BHs.
