All damage is being reduce by 75% in pvp, I just think using 10k pvp damage to calculate is high. You are thinking of fighting a rank 9 +12 archer. Try a lower number like 5-7k and the HP shard will help survive better.

Your build have 5786 HP and 63% physical defence which mean 37% damage will be taken.
Other build have 6258HP and 59% defence with mean 41% damage will be taken.

You are trading 6% physical reduction to gain 8% increase on HP.

There isnt much of a difference on survival toward physical attack that you might notice. However with magic attack, you will notice a difference.

Also as your physical defence get higher and higher, the % reduce will be less and less up to a point where it will just cap at 90%. So in the end if you continue to refine your gear, HP shard will always be a better choice compare to garnet shard.

Interval tome and G13 nirvana would give him 4base. Only G13 nirvana is 3.33 base (and thus 5aps sparked).

That first build is fine. Personaly I have gold OHT sleeves that are even better, but you'd have to be very lucky to find something like that.
Also Warsong or Jungle belt is better than the chrono belt, but not THAT much better, so up to you if you want them (abit more defence, for alot more money).

1 thing I'd add, is try to aim for 4 socket R8 top. It's a 10% chance, so in theory it'll cost you 10 mill if you keep getting a new top each day (in theory ofcourse. I know people who have tryd for 2 months, and some who got it the first day)
