Perfect Tokens of Luck?

Good Afternoon,

I'm new to PWI and decided to buy some of those "Year of the Tiger" packs in the hope of obtaining a pair of the "Dark Lord" Wings. (I was feeling optimistic! lol!)

Unfortunately I only got "Perfect Tokens of Luck" (75 of them) I know I can trade these in at the PW Boutique Agent for various items, but would like some advice from others on what would be a good purchase for someone at my level? I had a brief look through and saw that I could buy these "books" which would start a quest, but they all required a high level requirement and other items were unclear, so I'm unsure of their purpose...

Any purchasing advice would be appreciated. (Is their anything that would be good to get at my level? Perhaps I should buy something and save it until I can use it or sell it on for coins?)

Thanks in advance,

Curatio

    um. your level is... 4?

honestly, i'd recommend you spend about three or four hours gaming time leveling up. reach level 20 then look at your options again, see if anything catches your fancy. by then, too, you'll have access to west archosaur, where catshops are buying those tokens for 10-11,000 coins each; and by then, you might have a use for the coins as coins.

or if you're still feeling optimistic, consider registering a second account and using the tokens as seed capital for some merchanting, open a catshop of your own.

Sorry, what’s wrong with being level 4? Last week I started a Mystic and got to level 27 and didn’t really enjoy the class, so I re-rolled a cleric and am enjoying it a lot more so far.

I'm certainly going to be levelling up, but I don’t see how that would make asking for advice any different? Sure I might have a better idea of what to buy, but if there’s anything beneficial available now which would be of help regardless of my level then I’ll get it! e.g. I know teleacoustics are not that helpful in general but you can still use them whether you are lvl 1 or lvl 150.

Thanks for you advice though Lenie. I'll hold off buying anything for a while and if I don’t find anything that takes my fancy then perhaps I could get some coin for them when I get to Archosaur as you suggested.

    b:thanks

there's nothing wrong with being level 4, and i apologize if i gave that impression. it's just that, at such a low level, your available options for what to do with higher-end items and gear are very limited indeed; and as the lower levels go by very quickly, you'd probably be well advised to get to a somewhat higher level before deciding on what to do with your tokens, since you'd have a wider range of possibilities then.

for instance, you could get a fair amount of higher-grade shards from those tokens. but you're unlikely to need grade-7 sapphires, garnets, and citrines, or be able to make good use of them, until maybe level 50 or 60 if not higher. oracle I's (the lowest-level of the quest books you mentioned) can help you gain more XP quickly --- but isn't usable before level 30 at the earliest.

in short, you have some decent stuff there, but getting the most utility out of it will be very hard until you level up some. the good news being that the levels you need are some of the easiest to get in the whole game, since they're the lowest ones.

Thanks for taking the time to explain Lenie. I appreciate it.

I've certainly got a lot to learn, and I'm glad you've pointed me in the right direction which is why I created the tread, so that I don't just squander the tokens on unnecessary items like Hyper XP stones or Resurrection scrolls and the like. I don't think that their useless per say but as I think you've implied in your posts, I'd be better off saving the tokens for Oracles or Gems when I'm a higher level.

I thought that this would be the case regarding all of the worthwhile "stuff", but just wondered if there was anything usable now which I had overlooked or would be a great help regardless of level...

Into the bank they go then! I'll consider them my little "nest egg" for later in the game!
