There are a couple of places where you can get banned for interfering with the lower level players ability to complete spiritual cultivation quests. Aside from that, pretty much anything goes.

As the PvP server are pretty well established, I would not recommend starting on one unless you have a decent amount of cash to throw at it for start-up, or are good at making friends quickly. (you'll still want to invest is a good supply of guardian scrolls regardless.)

but truly, PvP is open season. Ganking is going to happen. Any game that disallows it is nerfing the true definition of PvP. It's not for kids.

That would be what a PVP server is for, yes.

Doesn't really bother me, I just think people shouldn't have too worry about assassins several levels higher than them. (assassins because you can't see them.)

Most of the game is played in instances anyway. So it really doesn't matter. Unless ur gonna pay to oracle over and over at low lvls, you don't need to worry about it.

If you go outside of safe zones, and are on a PVP server, you will get ganked.

If you play on a PVE server, there are still a few places where PVP is enabled regardless of your personal settings.

In the Cube of Fate there are a couple or rooms where PVP is part of the objective, i.e. you have to kill someone to advance.

There are several rooms that are PVP enabled in which PVP has no connection to the objective. Highl Levels gank people in those rooms all the time just for chuckles.

Don't ya just love human nature?b:sad

I don't think the PVP servers are so bad. You got your fish stories though where one might run out to a know pvp gathering zone, and act all stupid and get ganked by say 1 or 2. Then he runs back and says it was 3-4 to his guild and later 5-6 or 6-7 in world chat or other buddies. Then he goes onto talk about how he almost got them all. So the truth is a bit blurred by ego. But its ok, there are areas where people gather to play king of the hill but other than that its not too bad.

If you actually want to PvP? Ganking is worse on PvE servers. But to balance that out, most PvE server PvP is pathetic. You are far more likely to be RPK'd on a PvP server.

There are rules to PvP on a PvP server unless you're dealing with factionless RPKers or RPK guilds. On a PvE server, there are no PvP rules.

So if you eventually want to PvP and join a PvE server, you're more likely to only find very well geared players willing to fight, so be prepared to gear up. On a PvP server, there are more people open to find PvP with, so you actually have better odds.

Honestly, it doesn't really matter much anymore. Nobody quests, so why would someone attack you unless you were purposely white named or looking for PvP. Almost all leveling is done in parties in instances.

Also, complaints about rude behavior are far more prevalent on PvE servers. On a PvE server you can't combat kill stealing, harassment or stalking without a GM presence. On PvP servers, stalking/harassment issues are far less of an issue and can usually be dealt with without GM intervention.
I post in forums. This one and others. That's why I post.

You didn't expect this game to have the sophisticated PVP system of WoW Rift or ****. This is just an expensive free to play ....

some times you do, some you don't but if you have skill you can take a few player out before you die.

Ganking is not a big problem IMO, it just happens if you have no regard for what, who and how much lv difference you have from the target.

Most Ganking I got involved in, were my own fault for pking the same player and getting 4 or 5 player from that guild to come kick my butt for a few hours.

    Pretty fun !
