How bad do you lag in a full 80v80 TW

I lag like no one has lagged before...If I go in Lane B, my screen changes pixels around once every 10 seconds. It can be ok on the other lanes depending on where most of the action is.
How much do you lag?
How good is your computer?

When I was still doing TW, I hardly lagged at all. I have a fairly nice computer, not super top of the line, but still nice:
-AMD Phenom II X6 1100T (6 core processor @ 3.2GHz)
-9GB DDR3 RAM @ 1333 MHz
-ATI Radeon 6850 (1 GB GDDR5, 775 MHz Engine Clock, 1000 MHz memory clock)
Just to be safe, I turned all the graphics settings to minimum (I usually run them on max with no problems), and was still getting as high as 73 FPS. Usually in the 20-35 FPS range though. In the really huge groups of people with AOEs going off left and right, about 15 FPS. That's about as low as it's ever gone though.Zektera - Blademaster
Djeserit - Assassin
TranquilSoul - Barbarian
Torsti - Cleric
Heartbourne - Seeker0 -
Mmmm in a 80-80 TW I usually stand around 15-24 FPS with max settings, on lowest I'd be around 60-80 FPS, enough to play without noticing much lag.
As of how good my computer is, I have a...
- Intel i5 4-core @ 3.20 GHz
- 8 GB DDR3 RAM
- NVidia GTX 550 TI
- Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bits
- 850 Watts Power Supply
- 5 Fans
- 2 TB HD
- 1920x1200 Screen resolution (28" HD LCD Screen )

I also have a notebook, which was the thingy I used to play with, which lags like you do x3 its a Compaq Presario C700, has windows vista, 2 GB ram, and it is now retired / only use it for uni projects / presentations xDWTB> -12% channeling BELT or RING pm me with link or mail me ingame HT server, ty.0 -

I dont. That mipmap bias .ini option does wonders for reducing stress. I use it on 1 personally, but 0 worked better for one of my friends. Triples load times on loading screens but smooths everything else out nicely. (Wikipedia is your friend).
Maximum view distance, maximum textures, minimum everything else = 20-30 fps dependant on just how busy my screen is. (I play the game at 20 for the most part, with my graphical settings on medium - high. Works perfectly, dont spout some bull**** that 20 fps is ****).
Additionally, theres more options to reduce graphics if you need them, under the UI tab the "effect" bar manages how many weapon shard glows you will see and such, makes quite a difference if you need it. (I bottomed it out along with textures to be able to do that quiz weekend thing almost lag free )
I run this machine (Win 7 now) http://www.google.co.uk/products/catalog?hl=en&safe=off&q=SamsungR519&cid=4034199808942070687&os=tech-specs Its not great, was bought for school / college work and interwebs cruising, but it works fine for this b:laugh0 -
I get ~40-60FPS with max settings on everything in TW.
60FPS normally, about 50 in west arch.
1680x1050 res.
9600GT (512mb)
3GHz dual core
Not much lag at all. I get 90FPS when I play COD4 though, which is a bit weird.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

My desktop doesn't really lag much in TW. In base defence/attack or on B path it's still going smoothly.
But it's in repair now b:cry My laptop sucks
Desktop is
2.5 GB intel 4 core
4gb Ram
9800GT nvidia (1gb)[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

You're missing out.
So damn fun.
Especially since you're an archer. Camp on top of a wall somewhere and BARRAGE![SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

I don't lag that bad as long as distance is on the lowest level
I tried maximum distance once and couldn't move b:shocked
So I can only rely on someone calling targets or tab targeting. b:sad[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

Try the mipmap switch I mentioned http://pwi-forum.perfectworld.com/showpost.php?p=5734581&postcount=46 putting it to 1 makes things much better ^_^. (It loads lower resolution versions of most textures into memory so it doesnt have to draw the full thing for things you can hardly see due to distance. Takes more VRAM but once theyre loaded takes much less GPU power).0 -
I only lag when we're steamrolling a faction so bad that they're cluster****ing their base while we destroy their crystal.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Okay, thanks b:kiss Worth a try. (:[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
If I play on lowest settings I don't lag, but then I can't see anyone around me *proceeds to accidently run into a group of 20 vindis ._.*0

Only time i lagged in when i went straight on crystal and in their spawn, but its not that bad with my crappy comp0

I'm glad I pull cata where I can keep best performance on for most of the time. If I dd and need to see distances, I lag alot b:surrender0

I got a AMD Athlon 4800+ (2.5Ghz) X2, used to run on 2 7950 BFG GT OC, Updated the video card to a Gt 260 to find out the problem is Ghz of the CPU. The video card render so much info to the CPU in TW that it can'T handle it very well, FPS drop.
Most people here have newer 3Ghz+ processor that have 2 to 3 time the hyper transport for info. ( or what ever Intel call it )
Also PWI only use 1 cpu, to my knowledge ![SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
I lagged so hard one time that after a full screen freeze and death, I came completely out to the front of the base and couldn't cast. It kept saying I was still dead, lol.LilNai - Harshlands wrote: »http://pwi-forum.perfectworld.com/showpost.php?p=5734581&postcount=46
