Seeker or barb?

Hello,
I wanted to be useful in squads etc.
My gf is playing cleric so it was an obvious choice: role a barb.
But now I see it might be not such a good idea.
Maybe it's better to role a seeker?
I really hate low dmg by barb, but it's nice to help ppl.
But seeker...
He can aoe and stuff, and can still tank with decent heals, is it right?

I'm at 46lvl with my barb, but it isn't too high yet so maybe I should skip it, and roll a seeker?
Can seeker help with bosses and tank TT when healed and geared properly?

    Seekers make excellent tanks, the only issue I think that could come up with a seeker tanking is lack of aggro skills, so I say go for it.

    Seekers IMO are just for show..claw/fist barb ftw!b:chuckle
    This game is like washing hair with shampoo... Rinse and repeat if desired.
    Proud owner of many mains.101 bm,101 seeker,101 demon sin,100 sage sin,101 archer,101 barb,100 cleric,100 wiz( first toon since sept 08 finally made it in 2013)newly added mystic 100 HA,72 psy.

    I' ve got my barb, I love his ability to tank, but I wanted dmg, so I made an alt - Psychic.
    Now I see that It might be more useful to have Seeker for tanking etc. and a Sin for buff.
    Everywhere I have a cler in squad so with seeker I could lvl easly after 60lvl cuz of AoE, and then I'd make a Sin for bp, and this combo would be doing great, am I right?

    Cuz for now: my barb would be okay for TT and bosses, but in terms of gaining lvls I'm not sure If he can do as much as seeker. I planned to get lvls on my barb and psych equally, finally wanted to get 70 for barb, that he can use Calamity Axes - that was a dream. And from here focus on helping others and only little exp, no rush.

    Seeker with BP at 60-70 can tank that good? or need higher lvl? Cuz ability to help others and still have a chance to deal with PV in squad with a cleric for a lot of exp is a nice idea...

    When played correctly and enough patience, Barbs are Gods of tanking.

    But that's rare now, and the good ones have gone into hiding.

    Seekers can get close to their tanking abilities, but we only have one aggro skill(Battousai).

    Yea.. it was PWI's attempt to make Seekers and Barbs hold from aps characters but obviously that didn't work... :-\
