everything that glows is not golden

ok i'll start with system-pent4.2.4ghz,2gbram,512mb geforce8400 grapnic card.old system.I have all in game settings to lowest with best performance always on.Problem is[or isn't]that the game runs just great till i get around tideborn and tellus where everything has to glow.I know this may be asking alot but is there a way to work this into the best performance button so it will not only turn off surrounding players but also all of the completely unnecessary glowing?

    Move the Effects slider to the lowest setting in the UI tab of the System Settings.

    ALL settings are at their lowest.I would really like to try a sin but so much lag down there can't stand to do my veno quests there.

    I would suggest , that you upgrade your computer with an extra 2 GB memory.
    This would improve your performance by alot.
    Sometimes what people call lag, is because their computer is somewhat low end

    If you already have done as the previous posted told you (lowest settings in UI tab) and still have problems, the only way to change that is to get a better computer because your hardware is very old. I don't think there is more todo with the game settings to make the performance better, only better hardware.
