Veno's non offensive skills consume magic attack charms

So.. this issue is not new, i found out this on my veno maybe a year ago or maybe more don't really remember. Since it's still there i wanna know if any venos out there has same issue. When you cast non offensive skills like bramble guard, summer sprint, fox form, even sage master li's tech it will consume 1 magic attack charm if u equipped with ones while casting.

    There are lots of instances where you "waste" attack charms. At least that case is predictable. (Clerics also consume them mightily, classes with "regular" attacks [e.g. melee/Archers] consume them even after the mob's dead, etc.) Changing the mechanic to consume fewer would potentially allow people to circumvent using them at all (e.g. not consuming one till the hit lands: the damage is calculated prior to the hit actually "hitting", AFAIK, so if you unequipped them between attacking and it hitting, you'd not consume one but you would benefit as if you had).

    Well for sure it was not in any instances and yes i know sometime after mobs dead we still register a hit that then count as 1 use of a charm but then again it was 'attack' skill. What i tried to tell here is when you just standing still in town then using a non combat/attack skills (sage master li's technique, summer sprint, fox form, self buffs, etc) u still consume the charms. And i just tested with my cleric and turn out to be the same except it didn't consume charms when u heal, purify, bb, rb, wop, revive (i think) and squad buffs but other non combat skills waste attack charms too. I wonder this is only apply to magic attack charms only because i think didn't remember seeing physical attack charm being wasted when using non combat skills (at least that's what i saw on my archer), or correct me if i'm wrong.

    Charms are to be extremely consumable and stocked up on appropriately. If you find that you're counting each one, you'll just grow full of rage. It's an aspect most of us gave up complaining about almost 3 years ago. (Back when most players still didn't call the HP/MP charms "charms" out of confusion, still!) b:shutup

    Sigh... I'm not complaining about it. It was a question to begin with and I was asking if anyone having same issue. It's just as simple as a Yes or No question. And it was not my intention to bring it up here at first place, but since pw support tell me to do it (after i wrote a ticket about it) to see if any other player having same issue while they're investigating the issue so i just give it a try. I appreciate your response Fin.

    hmm... ya know, I never even noticed. I just figured I was going to burn through charms regardless. I did notice, however, that when I heal my pet it doesn't consume a charm.

    If I remember correctly, frostblade and stone barrier/glacial embrace/pyro shell all use an attack charm when used for wizards as well, all of which are non-attack skills. (not sure on glacial/pyro, since i never used those during tw where I'd notice)

    it does consume even if you only heal , just consuming rate would be like 1/10 or so . Tested with healing only with Veno,Cleric,Wiz+Myst. b:victory

    I find it funny that the OP is a barb and posting this. On a barb, Strength of the Titans and Beast King's Inspiration will generally tick a 75% MP charm twice (which annoys me a little when you're waiting for others to arrive at an instance and people already in are begging you to buff them now). Thankfully, I currently have the 50% Lochmur treasure charm equipped so it's not so much of an issue.

    I find it funny that the OP is a barb and posting this. On a barb, Strength of the Titans and Beast King's Inspiration will generally tick a 75% MP charm twice (which annoys me a little when you're waiting for others to arrive at an instance and people already in are begging you to buff them now). Thankfully, I currently have the 50% Lochmur treasure charm equipped so it's not so much of an issue.

    Its not about hp/mp charms. It's about attack charms.

    last time I check them, cleric buff use them but not the IronHeart. Or maybe I was not in combat mode and healing did'nt use it.

    I don't think it can be call a bug. Probably just some under paid programmer did'nt have time to finish the line...

    Sigh, it's so easy. Just use your charm in pvp only. In pve it's a waste...or get rank9 weapon which can't use any kind of charmsb:beatenup

    Yes its annoying if you start tanking something with the Herc and forget to take of the attack charms, i usually feel a bit robbed after making that mistake. Of course you can take them of every 5 sec when you heal the pet or use a debuff etc than put them back on when you nuke, but thats to much work for me and any other sane person.

    Best solution is do not use them for basic PvE at all. Put them on for PvP, TW and if you're doing a PvE instance thats challenging for your gear/level.

    All magic skills consumes attack charms, wasting them on buffs isn't much fun either for a cleric. But i get more annoyed if i have a defense charm activated and a level 30 mob pokes me <_<
