pvp genie for seeker
Hi, i'm thinking about a pvp genie setup for seekers. So here is an idea of the skills i think about getting on my genie:
Wind Shield - mostly for dmg reduction
Heart of Steel - awesome against ep and ea
Oxigen Bubble - never bad to be imune to water dmg ... stupid BIDS
Sand Shield - imune to earth dmg ain't bad either
Fortify - can be used for stun resist or to debuff enemy with debuff transfer
Tree of Protection - don't think i have to say much to this one
as for the stats of the genie i might go for 50 mag and put rest into vit. maybe put some dex too since it lowers cost of the mag resist skills and improves dmg reduction by windshield as duration of fortify and healing of tree.
Prefered genie type would be Discipline i guess since vit should get the highest stat.
looking forward for your suggestions/opinions

using a genie with skills you mentioned is pretty good for pvp seekers actually
as seekers aren't really good on pvpLight travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak0 -
I guess it depends what kind of PvP your talking - 1v1 or TW. I'm planning something like this for my TW Genie -
Tree of Protection
Holy Path
Cloud Eruption (or whatever that chi skill is called again...)
Tangling Mire/Extreme Poison
Absolute Domain
The only other one I'd really like is the remove stun one (badge of courage i think?) because being stun locked really sucks. While the immunity to certain damage types is nice I'd rather have skills I can use more often. With those skills I'm aiming to kill the wizzy before he kills me0 -
yeah the 30 sec cooldown sucks -.- but the energy consumption is quite low with some decent dex on genie. the badge of courage is a skill im thinking about too, same as mire, domain or poison.
Holypath might be good also to get out of a zerk fast.
i think that there arent much spamable skills that might be usefull for a seeker
my issues with those:
domain - high energy consumption and high cooldown
badge of courage - 30 sec cooldown -.- but still awesome and dex based ^^
mire and poison - giving a nice dmg boost but prolly not as usefull in pvp as they seem
cloud eruption might be nice as well but it also has an insane need of energy -.-
For your genie setup i might go for a str based genie. and if u want some spamable skills maybe take a closer look @ skills like whirlwind and frenzy.
Frenzy is quite nice if u go for a fast drop. bladeaffinity with gemini slash and fenzy might work quite well for 1shoting arcanes.
whirlwind is a nice spamable skill to prevent people from running away.
an other option could be occult ice. but here again occult ice needs 80 energy so u might not be able to use domain or tree if needed for a bit.
talking about seekers not beeing good in pvp i bet with rank9 they will own and many people will QQ about them, an max def lvl of 120 (125 with sage buff i think) while haveing 80+ att lvl will be something to fear. Zerkcrits will sure hurt more than crits form psys in white voodoo i think. So i guess seekers cant be called a bad pvp class.0 -
Genie i use in PK;

Zeal genie becouse magic recovery is the best type for 55 points on allowing me to reuse genie skills really quickly, plus i dont use any dex based skills so the 3 dex is the best drop-off.
55 points on magic so its capped before it becomes 2 points for 1 stat, 35 points on vit for 135 energy so i can use any 1 skill (mainly for AD) (the other 2 points are from genie leveling 101 and 102 and them being useless on strength or magic) rest on strength with strength based gears (costs about 1.2m coin for a level 3 peice of gear)
90 strength gives me 75% chance on Occlet ice to stun which with vortex kills in pk, and gives me 53% physical defence reduction with tangling mire, coupled with Frenzy gives me instant kill blade affinity gemini slash on pretty much any AA & LA.
Absolute Domain - This saves lives, theres a reason its on every genie and thats to avoid oneshots and moments were your low life and fighting a magic user. would never drop this skill for anything.
Useful for: Wizard, Mystic, Psychic, Archer, Seeker, Venomancer, Cleric
Expel - Another must, this is for assassins, we all know theres only a rare few assassins who cs who actually know how to pk, no chance vs these in pk, but 95% will come out stealth and still blow all there chi whilst ur in expel, saved my life alot vs sins and also with the high energy recovery i only need to wait like 15 seconds for it to be usable again, which is much quicker then the time it takes an assassin to come out, fail, restealth and recome out again.
Useful for: Assassin, Blademaster, Barbarian
Occlet Ice - Really makes killing with vortex easy, nice for blademasters to break stun locks, really nice for any class that you can sneak up and telestun in on, Ice is only really affective with high strength genies which is why its not used that much.
Useful for: All classes except Barbarian
Enrage/ Frenzy - Brilliant for snipe skills with gemini slash, also brilliant for killing blademasters and barbs with a full metal nuke, alot of seekers underestermate Ion strike in pk, when sage spark, frenzy, blade affinity, Ion strike, heartseeker and Batt is an insane combo on any HA user, especially with my 27% crit rate.
Useful for: All classes
Tangling Mire - Deadly on high strength genies with gemini slash, i only ever use it vs arcane users with gemini for the finishing blow or if im going to do my sneak attack at west gate (i sage spark out of view rush in, telestun, frenzy, mire, blade affinity, gemini slash crit for 30k, run away :P) works nice with frenzy too and it scares people into blowing through there genie energy too with stuff like AD, Expel at the cost of me using 43 energy, which id recover in 20 seconds anyway)
Useful for: Psychic, Venomancer, Cleric, Mystic, Archer, Wizard
Cloud Eruption - Simply seekers have a real hard time building chi, i went sage instantly without knowing the skills becouse of the +50 chi, this skill is priceless on a seeker and every seeker should use it. i even find myself using it in the middle of fights over other skills purely becouse it puts vortex into use and thats the main killing skill. Only level 1 becouse anything higher costs 4 vit points per level, for 3 more chi, which soon becomes 8 points for 3 chi, and placing them on strength would give 4 chi for 8 points, and level 1 means i only need 135 energy as opposed to 166.

i'm aiming for an rank9 seeker, thats why i think i wont be needing expel cause if there is an sin that can kill a rank9 seeker well expel wont be ablte to help against just keep u alive for 8 more sec.
occulti ice is nice for 1v1, but if u wanna rule in 1v1 prolly better to be a sin
domain is always usefull but the duration is quite short -.- thats why i'd use the element imune skills
cloud eruption is pretty good, but its gonna clear pretty much all your energy -.-
frenzy is pretty nice dmg add same as mire for gemini, but u can be sure u gonna get 1shot by decent geared mag classes if u are hit while useing frenzy
your genie pretty much aims for 1v1 i guess. I wanna make one that should be most recent for mass pvp and tw.

back to the genie ... in tw i guess expel, occult ice gonna be useless, and as seeker im quite sure once u rush into the enemy there will be 50mages/psys who will go for u. onlything to survive that for a lil is a resist pot or the elemental imune skills. If they see u useing AD they just chancel their ultis like BIDS. The mag immunity isnt that easy to recognize so u can be sure many will be wasting chi and not do any dmg on u for 7 sec. Mire might be pretty nice, but my issue with it is that u need to stat str to make it effective. yes mag imune skills got benefit by str too, but windshield and fortify and badge of courge don't. Fortyfy aint such a usefull skill either but still always good to have. if my genie gets too low lp imma stick with badge instead of fortify.
skills like balance, solid shield or te would be pretty nice for seekers, i'd love to see those being able to be used by seeker -.- but too bad they all ain't.
I guess once i hit 9x and get some average gears imma try some pvping with different genies. Prob with most str based skills is they use too much energy -.- bt why u use a zeal if your majority of points went into str? i don't think u will realize a big difference between 55 and 50 mag on genie. for your genie build i'd use an infliction.
As an add i know vortex is an uber dd skill but i cant imagine it will be that good in pvp unless your opponents are to dumb to run out of its range. but i combination with the tele stun its pretty nice, kinda reminds me of sins :-P imma be trying that combo.0 -
Elemental resists are sucky, the only one i would ever use if i had to was the metal one, all the others are pointless, wizards wont only hit u with fire, psychics wont just stick to earth spells. Big deal you resist the damage and stun, the followup water skill would crit and kill you. AD, is a gautenteed damage resist for anything, and gives you 6 seconds to cast anything free of stun, interruption ect.
Cloud eruption dose use most energy, but its used for before fights mainly. for example in TW, you die, go back to base, within the 30 seconds u have and 1 min to get to the fight u can +50 from sage +1.45 from cloud and still have a full genie. saves up you using white teas allowing unfetter + IG.
Occlet may be a 1 v 1 skill but i use it ALOT to kill mass groups by telestunning in on the blademaster or sin or wizard, a class i know would stun/ interrupt vortex and paralizing them.
And a good seeker wouldnt blow frenzy at a time they know they would be hit ijs.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
