I am the leader of a faction called C.R.E.A.M and i alot of people in my faction want to do TW
i am 100% sure we will get slayed but i been bugged to do it for a while now so we are going to try it. Basically are there any benefits of doing it ? What would be the best fac to go against and how much does it cost to attack a faction?

The biggest benefit I can see is that your faction will realize you were correct about them getting slaughtered.
The best fac to go after atm would be Goonsquad. They're falling apart, so there might even be a chance for you to win.
The lowest cost for a TW is 500k, but you might want to bid more than that if you plan on attacking Goonsquad since everybody and their sister is ganking Goonsquad atm.0 -
If your faction wants to do it, do it. If they dont expect to win they can still have some fun. It is just a game, try to enjoy it and take advantage what little it offers.0

If they want to try TW, then by all means go ahead. It's a really fun event and you can see who in your facction likes to have fun fighting if you get a match with a faction about your level. Let them know that it's a learning process as it takes several TW's to get the faction co-ordinated. Read up on it and have fun

tbh I've never really seen any members of that faction and I doubt your average level is higher than 70.
So I would say go ahead and bid. The faction you attack will mercelessly slaughter you and kill farm while the catas do their work on your crystal. Then you lose and your faction realizes that you aren't ready for TW if your average level isn't at least 95-100[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Bidding is 100k min 200 mil max, private bidding.
No shame in losing, its another and some say the best thing to experience in this game, so give your faction what it wants!
As for who to bid on i'd say whoever is already getting attacked lol.
To bid you go to battle coordinator or any teleporter.
The benefits of tw are
1. Fighting Evil
2. Eternal glory
3. NO safe zone
4. A small amount of coin every week when you own a land
5. Auto teleports to the land you own
6. Publicity The only thing worse than people talking about you, is people not talking about you.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

I'll keep that in mind next time qqme wants to trash talk me, vicious, or any of our other members ;D nice to know its just jealousy on your end.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
Good luck and have fun with the learning experience.
And tell your people take it as such. Any input after the war should be made as constructive ideas and not rage against other players for learning the same lesson you just learned.0 -
Bid on goonsquad. You will lose and if your members didn't think they would lose, they certainly would realise they aren't ready after getting slaughtered. Also teach them the basics of cata barb pulling etc. Although I doubt a lvl 40 barb can pull a catapult.0

just hope ur members dont get hooked up with tw after. gonna leave guild to join bigger tw guild.0
-
Yeah but the bigger tw guilds recruit higher lvls =p0

asher, first tell us what your faction is comprimised of. number of members that will attend TW, and the level range.
i personally dont see a problem with helping you guys TW meaning... say you have 30 people level 90-100, i wouldnt mind sending like 30 people from qqme to go do battle and have fun with you guys. you know like we will organise it, where qqme wont rush to just pwn your Xtal with BOA/BB.. we will wait at our Xtal and defend while you guys put on an attack.
i know QQme/Vicious is the main TW/strong factions here on RT and i know the whole other rest of the server wants to try TW.. because in my eyes TW is what the game is all about, and its not fair to other people who are not in the main 4-6 factions on the map.
so maybe the rest of RT can start something like this. smaller factions approach leaders of the land owning factions to organize small TWs. and not completly embarass the lesser faction..
just a thought...b:kiss0 -

I love that idea, but the problem is that it isn't allowed b:sad
Some couple of weeks ago, I believe it was on Heaven's Tear that they tried to do that very thing, but were informed by mods that it is bannable.
Ofc you can still do it all off record if you want, and just hope that the Mods don't care enough to do anything about it b:pleased0 -

Yep, its bannable to do it in public.
But if there is one of big factions that are good enough to make this offer to an up and comer faction there are ways to work it out.
I'd suggest a Vent meeting to work out the land to be attacked and whatever ground rules would be involved. Im sure enough of that goes on anyway with regular TW planning between allied factions lol.
Can't see why this type of activity would be forbidden anyway, just an established faction offering a training instance for what will hopefully be future competition. Sure it wont be as much fun for the established faction but it will increase interest in the members of the young faction in TW. With that comes the desire for better gear, weapons, apoth skill etc. In other words the game makes more money. Its so clear a moron could see it.0 -

yea but somehow this falls under the catagory of "fake bidding" which i dont even see how. they show up willing to give their all, knowing they'll get rolled but meh. atleast they try. its how you learn tw tbh. by the current rules, bidding on a faction such as QQme or Vicious would automatically be considered fake (unless its QQme or Vicious bidding on each other) which makes no sense =/[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

To me a fake bid is where the bidding faction doesnt show up. The defending faction has to make choices on what lands are more important to them in a gank. I could see some of these arraingements falling thru because of the big faction having multiple wars on that day. I would hope the training faction would allow them to send in a cata barb to take the crystal before the time runs out. The bidding faction still gets 3 hours practice in the TW instance to learn how to build the towers, pull the catas, set up a defense and generally learn the lay of the land.0

is it bannable because bidding is now like private? or.. i dont understand..
like you said the game makes money the players have fun.. wheres the harm?
can i request a gm/mod make a post here and clearify?
only reason i ask is i understand the fake bidding, but i go on my week knowing Vicious will bid on QQme and we will both show up. so knowing asher will bid on QQme and we both show up..how is that any different???b:surrender0 -

They're selectively horrible at their jobs. I'm sure you've read the rants in general discussion where some noob fac owner bids on a powerful fac (sometimes only one on map) and his fac has such horrible attendance that the leader is banned for fake bidding.
But you guys are right in that if you do it all behind closed doors they probably won't find out or do anything about it.0 -

Bah, this "rule" is ridiculously unfair. It completely excludes the lower level factions from participating in one of the activities for which factions exist. Seriously, can we get a gm to comment on this?[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
I've looked and can't find it; but, some thread says that "training TW's" aren't allowed. That said, all new TW factions must do numerous TWs before they learn the how & why of TW. That is the definition of "training." So, maybe the new-to-TW factions are having training TWs while the TW experienced factions aren't? b:laugh
I've talked with leaders in experienced factions who have said if we attacked them that they would see if their members would at least lengthen the battles to allow us a chance to get cata pulling down and such. We haven't had the opportunity to do that yet. We did have several fun 1 hr+ TWs with other "new" TW factions after the reset though.
I've also talked with folks who said that it could take 10 to 20 TWs before a new faction could become proficient at TWng. That means that the members should expect this learning curve to avoid loosing players. Even then, you will have a few players move on to other factions for TW. However, player turn over happens all the time in every faction so that shouldn't effect your choice.
