Can I change servers?

When I boot up the game it asks me to select 1 of 2 servers. I dunno which my friend is on and he hasn't responded yet. Can I change this at any point in time after I start playing? If so than I'll start now and meet up with him later. If not than I'll just wait.

    the server selection when you start the game client isn't a one-time thing, it's about which server you want to play on during that game session. one single account can be used to create characters on every single server if you want to, and you switch between them at log-in.

    what you CAN'T do is take a character created on one server, and move it onto another. you have to create brand new characters on each server you wish to play.

    I have a related question - is there still no way to transfer equipment between servers?

    Nothing can be transferred between servers at all.

    I should add that the 'two servers' it's asking about at the start are just where it should get the patches from.
    And yes, you can change that freely, and it doesn't seem to make any difference which you choose.
