Community managers that actually answer to community members

Hello PW,

First of all, this is not QQing, not flaming, not anything.

I only wish we had "Community Managers" answer the people of the community they're supposed to manage, even more when it's about a free hand help to bring maybe something more to the game.
Otherwize, what's the point in having a "PM me" link on their signature ?

I mean, I've contacted them twice for a free service with something to try to bring something more to PWI than just questing and cash-shopping and I didn't get any answer. Not a "yes", not a "no", not even a "go to hell"....

Yes they have other things to do, yes, if they start to answer to every PM they'll spend the whole day doing it and whatever other reason you might find. Then if you don't want to deal with the community, don't be a "Community Manager" and have someone else do it.

I'm not suggesting that they'll have to say Amen to whatever, just an answer would be good.

    They had a CM like that once. They got rid of him because he was for the players doing exactly what you suggested. Considering your join date you know exactly who I'm talking about.

    Yeah i don't remember the name of the guy, but i remember a story like that...

    Then, if they don't answer to people, what's the point in having CM ? Call it a cash-shop manager and that's it.

    I mean, i'm not ashamed to claim that i do spend money on this game because i think the work that has been done with creating it deserves to be paid, but i feel more and more that i'm paying for a non-existing service that is called community management. This game could be so much better than every other MMO if we had staff that did not just think about sales or bans.
    PWE looks like USSR governement sometimes.....

    I noticed a trend in mmos I've played: If any employee of the company tries to actually fight to get the players things instead of doing everything they can to help the company get filthy rich, they fire that employee.
    Well, it's normal that the companies want to get filthy rich, that's not the problem here.
    The problem is that they don't even treat us as customers. When they want, they can be very efficient, but most of the time they're useless people that only inform you on when you can spend your $.

    PWE would need a bit of restructuration by splitting what is Cash Shop related and what is Community related, because even in its own essence, PWI's community doesn't rely on Cash-shopping because it's supposed to be a F2P game.

    What PWE doesn't understand is that the world is smaller than what they think... They're getting a bad reputation because of their USSR-like community management style because we're in a time where news travel lightning fast thanks to all the social networking.
    For exemple, if I say on my Facebook that PWI sucks and that they treat us as cash-cows, 231 people (that I actually know, I don't add just anyone) will know and won't play PWI to beggin with. Imagine that on a larger scale...

    This game is so fking great, but the GMs themselves are killing it... Community =/= Cash-shopping.
    Happy community = more reliable and enjoyable game = cash-shopping because the game is worth it.
