tt and gear questions

Hi all,

Just archived lvl60 today. I have bad gear, with npc 54 magic sword (new server b:chuckle).

Assuming that i lvl my Glaciar Walker to 60, would i be able to solo TT1-1 (solo mode)?
How many runs (an estimate) would i need to get the mats to make a Ancient Arbor?
In each run, in the worst case scenario, the drops at least cover the sub cost?

    soloing TT1-1 solo mode with a level-60 walker would be hard. you might want to wait until 63 for the improved pet heal.

    getting the materials for a TT weapon from only solo mode TT's would be... a right royal PITA. try to find a faction, or some kind of squad to run squad modes with you; you'll be done much more quickly and with much less grief.

    so long as the fairy boxes remain in low-level solo modes, the runs will probably cover sub costs on average. but, yeah, they've at least talked about removing them... and, oh yes, you can't even open the fairy boxes until level 70. so no, you would NOT get your sub costs back from the drops unless you were willing to wait ten levels for the return on investment.

    If I were you I would go and try a tt1-1. I mean, so worst case scenario you get killed. You might have to spam heal but I think its worth a try. At the bosses stay in fox form for the extra defence, and if you get to a point where you THINK your pet is not going to survive, leave it and run to safety, of course remembering you have to time the green circles.

    One of the funnest parts to the game at the moment is just trying to solo stuff on my veno, so just go try it. (I got my herc at about leve 82) I cant remember when I first started tt sorry but I soloed 1-1 with my walker first time, and with my eldergoth the second time.

    On the other hand, ancient arbours are so basic, they sell very cheaply if you look around and you should be able to get to 70 so quickly with dailies and quests that aiming for an ancient arbour wont be that important for very long.

    Before you ask, I actually bought my herc with real money during a sale on packs. Its a rare investment, but I cant imagine how you'd get a herc without spending money, now with gold at 1.3mill +, unless you learn how to merchant.

    Ancient arbors are indeed cheap. If you do want to solo solo mode yourself, by all means, it's your choice. The materials in solo mode don't drop as often though, which is why it'll most likely take longer. You can try running it with friends or guildies. Squad mode drops a lot more.

    Even if you level up fast I'd say it's still worth making an Ancient Arbor so you can make the next weapons as well.

    During the times I was lvl 60 I had a small group of friends (irl or pre-pwi friends) that happened to be all Venomancers and we'd go to TT1-1 squad mode together and all would heal the pet of one Venomancer (who at the time had a shaodu cub). You might find a couple of Venomancers willing to give it a shot. Just an idea :)

    I play in a new server. So even if i use the weapon for 1 or 2 levels, it was good value to sell :)
    Tried at 60, tt1-1 solo mode, with glaciar and crappy gear, and i soloed chintien. Can't solo Lord still. Will try at 63.

    One extra question, what level do i need to solo tt1-1 squad mode? And tt1-2 squad mode?

    With a glaciar, i dont know but based on my own exp i remember at 60 (with herc/same level) i could solo squad mode chientien guy but Lord is a different story cause if you (the healer) are not killed by his aoe, your pet will have hard time to handle it also . Same for 1-2 u can basicly handle all the none aoe boss, but others are hard to handle even with herc at level 70 .

    if you mean for the quest, its at level 70 when you can begin this quest, but there are some steps before that point (this is the quest to get into OHT). also, you dont HAVE to solo it, you can have friends helping you, but it is in team mode. 1-1 with sub (snake boss), and 1-2 with no sub (drum boss).

    Some things to consider:

    *A used Ancient Arbor or Legendary with refines and imbues would cost less than making your own.

    *Your time would be better spent doing something that gets you xp, sp, and coin rather than risking them.

    *Soloing TT is boring. You might even prefer to solo clear BH's and charge admittance.

    *There really isn't much good stuff from TT for Arcane. -Tt90 pants is about it. Only reason to get the other stuff was to use it as a Nirvana mat. Other than that you may prefer one or the other's weapon selection based on if it's auto-bound.

    *Leveling up you and your pet will allow you to farm faster.

    I think they say they are playing on new server b:surrender not sure if there is many ancien arbor already in the server if they are refering to the 2 new euro server .

    OP, you don't need subs to farm for an Ancient Arbor. Just go with a few friends (I think iterated at least once already) and kill Chintien medium. Should take 2-4 runs depending on the share you get.

    Yep its true xD The new server is kind low on ppl who can do TT's (much more solo), so if i can do some TT's to sell drops i can start saving to my herc fund xD Thats why i ask so many questions about when i can solo xD

    Yep, and look back and Janus's long history of bullying and harassing -and not just me. He's more personal attacks than information. If mods allow him to harass, they gotta be fair about it.

    Informing posters not to follow your advice and why =/= harassment, nor is laughing at horrible advice, as much as your sensitivity to criticism would have you believe. Strange how I have people who agree with me too at just about every turn, concerning you. On the other hand, telling me about my personal life outside the game, as quoted, and as shown to me in world chat, constitutes harassment -- which I won't report, by the way, simply because I'm a grown-up, and some kid on the internet trying to tell me about my personal life over game-based criticism is pretty hilarious. However, you've been down this road already before with the mods/admins, so I'm sure for them and yourself this is awful familiar territory, and only adds to the entertainment that your egocentric attitude here brings.
