Barbarian Transformations...

Hey Everybody...

I have no idea if this subject has been talked about once before but i think the developers could throw in a little more variety into the game wich would make it more fun.

The variety that i am talking about is about the Untamed race and their ability to transform into an animal like creature to use diffrent sorts of skills and spells.

How the developers could do this is (for example) Change the appearance of the race.
what i mean by that is not to make them more human or animal by nature... the basic characters are fine, but im talking about a Venomancers and a Barbarians transforming abilitys into the ''fox and tiger'' forms.

These forms could be made more fun if the developers would actually allow the untamed race to transform into the animal they choose to be when they create their character.

so a Barbarian Lion would actually become a Lion when transforming to barb form.
and a Veno Rabbit would actually become a (large) rabbit when transforming to that form.



Please post below if you aggree with this topic or have an additional idea ontop of this, or maybe even have some sketches to show them a clear example on paper :)

    I Agree. The Barb skills or Movements dont Have to change just keep it simple. Example: Wolf Barb= White wolf
    Tiger Barb= White tiger
    Lion Barb= White Lion
    Bear Barb= White Bear
    Fox Veno= Red fox
    Rabbit Veno=Red Rabbit
    Nothing else needs change in my Oppinion moves skills nothing just the Toon. Would love to see my Wolf Barb turn into a hugh White Dire Wolf. Ya have the mounts just copy those make em white or what ever!

    This has been talked about before, but not recently. The rules of this forum are to create a new topic rather than necro a thread, and this is a great idea.
    More variety is always a great idea.

    This is a great idea; I would make a lot more Venomansers if I could runaround as a kitty. b:laugh Even better a purple Cat! If they do that I would make a fox Venomansers with weight hair and level up so I can beat up level 50 enemies with the silver fox me. XD I riley hope they do make it so the color of the transformed Venomansers’s fur matching the hair color. I should be the same thing with the Barbarians. It would be awesome if you could have a blue wolf barbarian or a purple tiger for example. Then transform in those colors and animal. b:coolb:beg Honestly not being able to change the color of the barbarian's fur is the only thing that keeps me away from making one :'(

    If the devs wanted untamed characters to have "true forms", it would have been in the game from the very beginning. This has been suggested numerous times for at least 3 years now. It's not going to happen. Ever.

    Like i said i have no idea weither or not this idea has been addressed yet or not, This forum is HUGE and i dont spend much time on it. but im not here to argue that.

    I am trying to get more ppl to show they aggree to my opinion so that maybe this time the idea will be brought into game and wont just get moved away and forgotten.

    For those who shared your ideas, Thank you very much and spread the news to others and let em post below, lets see if we can finally get the PWI staffs attention.

    <_< I agree with this whole heartedly, I'd love it if my veno could be a big white deer. But the fact that the original devs based the untamed off of ancient chinese mythology (tigers as kings of the forests, foxes that can transform into beautiful women) means that they won't change it, no matter how much the community begs...I wish it didn't have to be like that, I'd love a good wolf barb, but it's offputting when my wolf suddenly transforms into a big tiger.

    =\ The original devs didn't care about that. They cared about their beliefs, and not what the community wanted. And since the new devs seem to be worse than the old ones for listening to the community, I'm not sure if this will ever come to pass.

    But who knows? Maybe this might be the thread that they see. =) I hope they take into consideration how these changes may breathe life back into a race that could use an upgrade to customization.

    the reason behind the untamed having a fixed transformation is due to china myths. it is believed that the white tiger is the king of the beasts so barbs turn into them. i THINK the fox is from a myth where a woman who seduced men could turn into a fox. (and yes orginally, the venos were portrayed as seductive and deadly altho that part of their description got lost over the years.


    this is a chinaese game they want to put a tiny bit of their lore in it and because of that this idea WILL. NOT. HAPPEN.

    thats just partially true.

    It might also not happen cuz they cant make money off of it... how about if they introduce a purchasable system like the smiley set that makes your barbarian and or venomancer transform into the animal it chooses to be at start?
    this way they get only the best of everyting.. they respect the players wishes... they gain money off of it... and when the item transpires they again respect the chinese mythology.

    there u go all 3 problems solved...
    any other arguements to deal with? xD

    what you say is indeed true, however i would think that if they wanted this, they could have, and would have done it long ago. from the time i been here i constantly seen ppl wish for this idea and i'm sure PWE is well awere of this and no doubt thoght of ways to make money off the idea. but lets face it from the time this was being called for, they would have done this at least 2 years ago. this leads me to think that either they are REALLY set and serous about their excuse, or perhaps the coding for such an idea is more trouble than it is worth.
