Hey everyone,


We will be having Server Maintenance tonight from 11pm PDT until 1am PDT.



And now, for the usual maintenance question...


What would be your ideal squad setup for a 6v6 battle?

Please keep the following PWIC rules in mind:

o Each team can have at most 1 of the following classes: Blademaster, Barbarian, Assassin, and Psychic

o Each team can have at most 2 of the following classes: Wizard, Venomancer, Archer, Cleric, Seeker, and Mystic


And remember, we're talking 6v6, not huge battle royale.

    Patch Notes Version 542
    Released July 14, 2011

    Skills
    Barbarian's Sage Roar now correctly states that the enemy's magic attack is reduced by 30% instead of its magic defense.

    Quests
    The "Custodian" quest has been renamed to the "Summoned Guard" quest since the mob that spawns is called the Summoned Guard. Hopefully this will reduce any confusion with the quest.

    The Venomancer "Gift" quest to catch the Scout Lynxus has been updated to state that you need to use the Tame Beast ability to complete it.

    My ideal team?


    Rank 9 +12, JoSD sharded Psychic - Team Leader
    Rank 9 +12 JoSD sharded BM - Second in command
    Rank 9 +12 w/e sharded Wizard
    Rank 9 +12 w/e sharded Wizard
    Cleric (w/e gear they want)
    Rank 9 +12 vit or JoSD sharded barb.

    The alt would be a rank 9 +12 APS Assassin (or full rank 9...up to them).



    If I could just have w/e I wanted...

    6 Full Rank 9 +12 JoSD sharded Psychic's, fully buffed before hand via cleirc and bm.
    Sorry but nothing in this game could withstand that team...especially consideirng even rank 9 +12 sins one-shot themselves on reflect.

    I really dont want nothing to do with this event, I just hope a few decent things are added/fixed to this patch and its not just another crappy sale......Heres to hoping for the best but expecting the worstb:surrender

    Hopefully something good form this maintenance (like fixing magic shell/AoE magic Def one so the timer can refresh like all the other buffs or lvl brackets for the thunder arena). ^^

    And as for the question it will mostly be this:
    • R9/Nirvana Demon 5aps Sin
    • R9/Nirvana Demon 5aps BM
    • R9 Cleric (mainly for buffs/Heals)
    • R9 Barb (mainly for buffs)
    • R9 Wiz or R9 Archer
    • R9 Psychic

    It's too bad the patch notes can't be at least mostly put up prior to maintenance, so people can know whether they want to stay up and play after 1AM PDT or not. b:sad

    All r9 +12, though the sin would be nice with at least 4aps with the r9 daggers.

    +12 r9 full JSOD isnt a class.
    keep in mind you dont take your armor to the finals. so chosing your team based solely on their ability to spend money (real money or merchanted) is a bad idea.

    I'd go psychic, barb, bm, sin, seek, then either cleric or veno. Mmmmm purge and amp...protect the seeker to drop vortex on bishes....



    I'm betting with this tournament a few things

    A) pwi pockets grow
    B) their stock price goes up to 6 month high
    C) people using dragoon glitch goes up.
    D) number of powerlevels goes DOWN as sins try to level themselves.
    E) we see at least one week each of rank 9, dragon orbs (maybe even 12 star), and maybe the unveiling of rank 10. We will likely also have a rep sale and battle pet pack sale thrown in.

    How about these three ideas to make pwi MORE monies

    1) put gems of all types straight into the cash shop
    2) re release of the ORIGINAL anni packs
    3) new "super hyper" that cost more, but give like 25 to 100x exp...

    I'm thinking 5 "super hypers" last you an hour, and yield 100x exp, but exhaustion time is 2 days with no pausing!

    SasHa where's it say gear doesn't go to the finals? Why don't we make everyone just have level 1 skills while we are at it, with no potions or triple spark.

    +12 R9 Full JoSD Archer
    +12 R9 Full JoSD Barb (or BM) alt.

    Psy's job is to make anyone that touches it kill themself + nuking and ****. Sin's a sin. Nuff said. Cleric's mostly there for the support capabilities, but can also help out with the nuking if there's a chance to do so. Wiz is general nuker that punishes the enemies if they even consider getting into a close group. Veno has purge/amp. Nuff said. Archer is there to snipe the **** outta stuff and assist allies if something gets too close to one of them. Plus they're a second mainly phys DDer which limits the effectiveness of mdef charms somewhat. Barb/BM Alt for buffs (or stunlock) and in case we need someone capable of being a "last man standing" (squad's geared towards killing the enemy before they have a chance to kill you but having a little bit of defense so you can survive some if they get a chance to fight back, so a drawn out battle would go against this squad).
