Hello

Ever since i've downloaded pwi, for 2 years everything with the connection, ping time etc. was just fine (ofc when i'm outside west arch) ... But last couple of days, my ping time is always over 2k ms, from 2k to even 8k ... and it's getin' really anoying since i can't do anything exept chat (and even with that i'm having hard time)

I called my internet provider, and they've said that everything is just fine, 'since all other net-stuff such as msn, browsers etc, work at the same rate as before. The only problem is pwi, which is basicly the main thing i use my computer for b:sad

So ... i was wondering, did anyone might experienced the similar problem, or any advices on how to fix it / reduce ping time ? I will provide any informations you require, if this is due to my pc. But i really don't understand the problem, 'cause 2 days ago, everything was in perfect order :/ p.s. i apologize if this problem was mentioned before, but i coudn't find anything that's the same as the problem i'm having. Pls let me know if there is some other post that could help me.

Thak you very much for your replys and patience with me in advance =)

Well, with PWI...So you know, running Youtube is the first thing that takes up bandwidth.

Another thing, if you're on a wireless connection, someone may be getting on it, and messing with it. Another thing, anything that involves Torrents, if a program like that's running, then it'll take up alot of bandwidth. But if nothing significant like that is running, then its just Perfect World.

Oh, even while my ping was ok, YouTube and Torrents were a big no no b:laugh
Also, exept this browser for forum-ing, nothing else is active :/

But ty for ur reply, guess i just need to wait for pwi to have mercy again b:surrender

Hi, Have you installed any new Antivirus, Firewall or Security Suite before your ping changed ?
if you have it may be there not set up right

also you could try a tracert to pw to see if its a problem with line along the way

Scroll down to the tech support post for info on how to do a tracert
