What's the population on the EU servers like?

I might download the client and re-roll a toon on one of these servers just to pass the time a little. Thing is, I don't want to go through all of the trouble if they're empty (the eu servers now) - how many people are on them, from experience? Also, what server is best for an english speaker? Which server has the most of them?

I won't be playing the toon seriously as I'm biding my time for a EU PvP server before doing that, but still.

    We'll me and many others (quite a bunch from RT that I know) have gone over to the french server, it's got a pretty good population atm which I'm sure will pick up even more over time, I don't know about the germany server as I havn't been on it, also the french server does have a lot of english speakers on there.

    I'm going to give it a week or 2 more before I properly judge it to start off though.

    Someone needs to seriously keep tabs on the new EU servers "Sin-to-Every other class" ratio.

    Population is getting better. TW's next week for alot of us whoohoo! Lots of rude people on this server though (I admit I was a bit mean once or twice because of Higher level cashoppers comming and ksing) You don't need to download the client , it should be on the server list with the other servers.

    there arent as much as u would think..
    its about the same amount as it is on other servers..

    Well as far as the French server goes, the population seems pretty good. Certainly not overcrowded, which is fun.

    Also, as far as the Sin ratio goes, I'm noticing a lot of faction advertisements seem to be asking for 15+barbs/clerics/wizards/archers - clearly the people on this server have learnt from the US ones that frankly some classes just aren't worth it at end-game. That said, I also haven't seen any "NO SINS" advertisements either, so clearly it can't be that crowded with fishes.

    From what i saw it was pretty empty.

    Lower than start of Raging tide and Arch server, which is pretty low. I stopped playing arch after lvl 26 just because of population.

    Has anyone any idea on the German one? I'd play french but I only know how to say 'I speak english' in German. ._.

    German server is somewhat low populated right now. But then again I haven't been to Arch yet to fully justify that statement b:victory

    But the starter cities are low populated from what I have seen...

    That's not completely true. As most know, sins don't shine early on during the low to mid-high levels. Even when they do hit 89, they aren't really a thread in pvp or have much solo-ability until they get end game 4-5 aps mainly at lvl 99 with the TTs. Until then, just like every other classes - they rely on clerics and barb tanks to help them kill bosses for culti and chrono or farm mats for gears that a new server lacks. Just like before the aps gear age. Hence is why factions are advertising more for clerics and barbs. As for archers and wiz, they are more practical to have for a faction for farming instances together and are the true killers in TW for a new server.

    Reporting in from german server:

    It's not overpopulated, you can quest, you can do oracles, you can do TTs already and it's quite fun here. Also, there's like a race between germans and English speaking people. I'd say eng:ger ratio is about 1:2. Sin: Rest ratio is quite low to be honest. We got 20 sind in a faction with 140 people which - in my eyes- seems quite about right. Also, the other faction dont have thaaat many sins.

    We all live together peacefully and if you're english, you shoul djoin the german server. There are quite some nice and active factions who are engspeaking aswell.

    All in all: Great start for German server, really looking forward to TW

    I had to facepalm at the majority of your post because you seem to discount one thing.

    Cash shoppers.

    There are not many now, but they will eventually appear in their droves as they always do. Heck I think some people on this game run to new servers, CS to 10x and get the great gear just to spite people because there's certainly enough QQ about it on the forums. One good look at Archosaur and Raging Tide tells you... what exactly?

    1) People will hyper, FC and now PV their way up levels. This mid-level **** you're talking about is bypassed entirely with little exception.

    2) Sins aren't a threat at 89? ... You know I'm just going to assume you do not PvP very much or you don't watch much PvP. When Sins hit late 80s and early 90s, if they've been saving up for their skills and have decent gear, they start to dominate in PK areas against classes equal to their level and perhaps a little higher. Sins do not need 5aps to be good at PK, and especially not around the level range you yourself specified when against other classes in that level range.

    3) Wizards are totally useless in this game for farming now IJS. Nobody is going to roll one unless they already have a guaranteed faction spot and guaranteed good friends on the server who will take them farming. Know why? Because the new servers will also follow the 5aps craze unquestionably once they hit a certain population at which point nobody gives a **** about your wizards for farming. Me? I'm not picky, but it looks like the wizard is the last class on everybody else's list to pick if they want a good farming TT squad.

    I'm not going to talk much about the TW scene for the moment as it's still early days. But I can guarantee you that there are CS'd people already on both servers and that they are probably not the wizards and archers you mentioned. Probably. I might be wrong about that.

    sadly but true, this was true before tideborn patch too in others server when was out the -int items, i got 2 year on ex-EU pvp server and maybe similiar on MY but my experience was that, in late game most of ppl do aps character instead wizzard.

    (in pw ms i was the 2nd wizz with +10 weapon (and no one got better weapon than lunar/tt99-this was before r9 time when r8/tt100 was expensive), and 2nd with highest lv sage wizz WITHOUT real money, until was alot BM with tt100 or insine refine with fist build, still few archers with better refine/weapon but the sin both vs wizz/archer is dominating and this encourage the players, mostly the wizz players coz the new casters exclude ulti do similiar dmg minimum with few skill just they can spam better [mystic/psyhic])

    Population on German server is growing (based on catshops in West Arch). First TT weps showing up now. Highest level i have seen is 71 but i think there are higher. Lot of Wizards (15 i think) in my faction (Warflame). To much Sins and BM's, lack of Psy.
    Starter area of Untamed was pretty busy when i started (day 1).
