tome/nirvana pants

Is there even any point of getting both Pan gu/up and down tome with the 2nd cast nirvana pants? cause with both you'll be 4/5 aps as well as if you only have 1 or the other, you'll still be 5aps. Or are we supposed to be demon until we get all that stuff and then switch to sage

Also, i was wondering if there was some sort of animation warm up when you're 4aps b:shocked it might be just me or you have to slowly build up to actually hitting 4 times per second b:surrender

    for a spark F1 auto attack F2 sin 3.33 base is fine. But usually for pvp you won't spark -> auto attack so 4aps base can come in handy. Yes it's well worth it.

    There's also the fact that there are much, much better weapons in the game than Barrier Thorn: Nirvana.

    For example, getting a Dark Death Thorn with -0.05 interval will always be superior to Barrier Thorn: Nirvana because the latter lacks any offensive mods short of the -0.1, whereas the former has a high chance of Sacrificial Strike, or in the good case, God of Frenzy or +20 Attack Levels.

    And the next step up from there would be Rank 9. Catastrophe Stinger is in a whole category of its own in terms of damage. It has the highest DPH in the game by a massive factor and in terms of modifiers, it's like a Dark Death Thorn doing hilarious amounts of performance-enhancing drugs.

    And to get 5 APS on Dark Death Thorn, you need to have both Pan Gu and Nirvana leggings. Similarly, to get 4 aps with Rank 9, you'll need them.

    Well of course. A set of Cube and Warsong will provide much, much superior defense and life compared to the Lionhearts.

    Or if you're an R9 player, R9 belt and a Cube necklace.

    Well, in effect, getting that one "extra" -0.05, you can swap one other -0.05 for a much better piece. The obvious options would be:
    TT99 boots -> Snowflake Soles
    TT99 ornaments -> Cube + Warsong / Cube + R9
    Lunar Cape -> Nirv Cape
    Barrier Thorn: Nirvana -> Dark Death Thorn

    No shards yet. I'm not going to shard them for a while, as I'll first go for +6 refines on all of my armors.

    If youre going for nirvana pants, get the lunar version. They have better stats and better hp gain. They might be harder to farm but as endgame goes there well worth it.

    /Offtopic: what is so fantastic about God of frenzy? as the description goes it costs 5% hp which is the same as sacrificial strike. Or am i missing something.

    God of Frenzy has a higher chance to proc, so it gives more damage than Sacrificial Strike.

    For clarification: both double your hits dmg, like an amp, even when you crit (effectively x 4 your attack). Sacrificial Strike is believed to proc about 20% of the time, so think 20% dps boost, GoF is supposed to prov 30% of the time. If you pk, the chance that you will zerk on a crit goes from 1/5 to almost 1/3 which may make the difference in jumping a charm tick.

    WTLG cape
    ashura wrist/boot
    lionheart orns
    warsoul helm
    r8 top
    nirv pants
    nirv dagger

    and yeah but does blood frenzy work the same?

    Anything g13 or better, shard with JoSD. If it's your weapon shard with either g11 or g12 Garnets, depending on how much money is available to you.

    Anything g12 or under should be sharded with Vit stones.


    But it's mainly based on preference and cultivation. Some say sage should shard DoT in all of their gear instead of what I just said, and some say demons should shard like what I said.

    I have a demon sin friend who has +12 R9 2 g12 Garnet dags who is sharded with full DoT, and he seems to be doing very fine.

    If you can't afford Vit stones/JoSD/DoD/DoT, then g7/g8 Citrines should be fine in armor, and g7/8 Garnets should be fine in weapons until you can afford the listed shards.


    And as for Blood Frenzy, if you're talking about the level 100 skill, Blood Frenzy is just an overpowered Bloodpaint buff that lasts for 20 seconds. But be warned, when the buff wears off, you have no Bloodpaint anymore.

    Tome is very key (especially LoAD) for giving you mass extra skill points to restat into dex. Only reason my sin has 502 dex. There is a very big difference in a sin with 20-30 less dex.

    Daggers are tricky, yes there are "better" daggers then G13, but besides the benefits of GoF/30 atk lvl of r9 you have ZERO play in putting on other items like cube neck/warsong belt etc. I actually find it to be worse for my sin to use a different dagger and locking in HA orns then to use G13s and put on cube neck/warsong belt. Unless I get r9 to use, G15s don't give me enough reason for me to switch.

    Although I do want G15s for some PvE things, depends on reforge. Being 4.0 base and using windshield to bump to 5 and still bypass charms unsparked is a very useful tool.
