Pet quests

So i just started this game. Closest experience i've had was playing WoW. So far i've enjoyed it but i'm having a small issue i don't understand.

In the first pet quest you have to find a Vericose Scorpion and i can't seem to find one in the areas it says. Ive looked on several sites and looked in the pinpointed areas. Am i missing something??

    I believe they are just outside the West gate of Lost City.

    and, edit: lost city doesn't have a western gate. it's got a northern and a southern one, though, with scorpions spawning outside of each.

    My mistake. I was thinking of the south gate I guess.
