Seeker PvP

Just wondering how everyone else PvPs. I usually just adjust my strategy to who I'm fighting. Arcanes I poke first to test HP, then just work from there, BMs i try to trap in Heartseeker, then Ion spike. Barbs I leave alone, not worth the time, most of them i meet have too much HP for me too kill, but they don't enough power to kill me sooo....yeah. Sins are situational, i work off what i got. Mystics aggorvate me. Archers I Void Step then Heartseeker and hope it procs. I don't bother other seekers if i can help it.
Better question, how the hell do you kill a freakin mystic?
Anyways that my view on it.
How bout you guys?

I haven't PvP'd much but I find against most Arcane users that Triple Spark + Blade Affinity + Gemini works pretty well XD Either 1 shots or gets close to, then finish with whatever. Haven't faced a Mystic yet but I would assume you treat it like a Veno, difference being that you aren't likely to face a HA Mystic. I suggest you try to kill em and fast but they will be difficult with both pets, plants, healing and damage spells0

problem i have with mystics is thicket, that freakin is the most annoying thing i've ever seen.0

Try sparking when you see thicket activating.0

Agreed, I dueled a 78 mystic a few times yesterday and lost every time but 1 due to the Chihyu's stun + Thicket.
Options:
Voidstep - interrupts Thicket's channeling and stuns 3 seconds, also gives the nice added bonus of putting you right on top of them. However, this will only delay the Thicket unless you can kill them in the stun duration.
Spark - Time it well enough and you can resist the Thicket entirely. Also gives the added bonus of pretty much making the mystic a 1 shot to Gemini if they don't have Aegis Sphere on (and even then, if they have terrible gear). But impossible if the mystic likes to take advantage of the Chihyu stun to give themselves time to Thicket.
Absolute Domain - Same as spark without the buff, but can be used while you're stunned. Pretty much a must-have skill for any Seeker PvP genie.
Occult Ice - Another great Seeker PvP genie skill. Interrupts Thicket and stuns them for up to 6 seconds. Plenty of time to BA some powerful skills to try and take them out of commission.
Bramble Rage - If you happen to have this on your genie for helping you take out HA classes, it can be nice for interrupting Thicket. Though just like Voidstep, it's only good for delaying the inevitable unless you can kill them in the time it takes them to recast it. Probably the worst of these options.
I'm probably missing some options, but those are the ones I can think of right off the top of my head after waking up.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

i used to worship gemini slash and thought it was the ultimate pvp skill for seeker. until i tried vortex for fun. its really good against squishies. blade affinity > stun(voidstep, parched or genie stun) > vortex. against melee kite em. use vortex on sin too b:dirty0

I actually like edge blur on sins better. plus give free reign to use all anti stun abilities to unleash tons of added attacks. Our best PvP asset is really our -chan skill... used with the right combos according to each class, can be quite deadly.re0 -

Problem with vortex is, is that you can't move it. So unless people die fast enough they can just take a step back and watch the show. Not to mention wizards can use the leap back skill or whatever it's called. Veno's can bramble hood for damage reduction and get away...
^obviously also depends on gear.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

vortex outdamages edge blur and skill chaining takes time(casting), whereas vortex is constant dps. of course im not proposing to outright use it, it depends on the situation. best used as a finisher, after softening up with some other skillsHazumi_chan - Sanctuary wrote: »

apparently mages do die fast enuf with vortex(unless endgame gear with lots of refines and hp shard, but thats another story). beat a mystic under 10sec with it. the second u open vortex it already hit 3 times, damage comparable and may be higher than 2 gemini slash. and seriously i only stun said mystic with voidstep
facts about vortex:
hits every 3 sec, and the second it hits damage text pops up 3 times. you only need 4-5 seconds to hit 6 times, resulting in (at level 10) 6x base damage + 600% weapon damage + 47k damage. a succesful occult ice will make sure you can deliver all that damage. well at least try it. i was reluctant to use it in pvp too at first... and i had a hard time with mystic until i tried vortex0 -
Yea people are pretty hip to what vortex can do, only time i ever use it is element of suprise, and even then its not garunteed to take out anyone. it's best used in tight areas where people cant scatter as easy. But i rarelly ever use it just to take out one robe or light armor. For most part they are easily 2-3 shot at most. (r8 or equivelent of course)re0

An expel in certain places is easily enough to ruin a lot of the strategies you guys list here :b especially the vortex one lol
But listing a chain of skills on the forums is kinda easy when you assume everything will work in your favor...[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
^^ yea easy to sit on the forums and defeat anyone's strategy, when in truth 9 times out of 10, all the things they claim they could do, in reality wouldn't always be avaiable to them.
Some of the discussions on these forums remind me of old HTML MMOs roleplay, where people could battle eachother just in typing out what they would/could do.re0
