I am a light cash shopper, k... I won't hide that I spent some money... but I have not a single regret on it though. I just give like 10% away and just buy charms for friends on RBs lol. Well, you don't have to mention it, it really sounds like you spent too much on PW and end up regretting it.

See, I agree with the OP in that there should be limits on who you can kill on a PVP server.

    My reasoning is as follows:

First, it's no big deal if you die in the game to one person 30-40 levels over you.

Problem is, there isn't just one person out there in the server that's 30-40 levels over you that does this. A bunch of people that are high level like to go on sprees (especially in high traffic areas) and kill 'lowbies'.
That makes it less likely that the 'killer' recognizes that the 'victim' has already been killed X number of times before.

Second, if it were possible to walk up to anyone, stick a knife in 'em and watch them fall down 'dead' in game you wouldn't have this problem.

(You know, like in real life... where you show common courtesy to people because you never know whether that person you want to insult/smack around might just be packing a .45 or maybe mastered 3-4 different types of martial arts and will make you wish you had minded your own business.)

But since game mechanics make it impossible for ANYONE from ANY class at ANY level disparity to have an equal chance to slaughter another player then the idea that you have a guaranteed advantage and exploit it just makes you a spineless bully.

Nobody likes spineless bullies, do they?

So why do so many people act like them?

ill admit i rpk but i rpk more than lowbies. yes yes im lvl 79 and looks like i can be killed easy. :P but i attack everyone regardless of lvl i have had some epic fights with 9x sins. i dont always win but sometimes i do. i have fought 9x's of just about every class and have some amazingly fun fights. not till i get into a fight with 10x r8-r9's that fights arent fun :P

i generaly play with sl on as well set for an hour sure its annoying at times but better than dropping my gear.

anyways pvp server is your choice deal with consequences. :P

I have characters on both PVE and PVP servers. I don't bother switching avatars to post.

I have played more games than just this one.

PVP is a joke in MMOs, period. FPS is where you need to be if you want to 'test your skillz' as a 'killer'.

I know more about killing than you should ever hope to discover.

Being killed by someone of any lvl is no big deal. If they camp you? Maybe join a good faction and have someone kill them. If you're too low lvl to join a faction good enough that has members able to kill this person and no one on your FL can do it, then simply go somewhere else?

Are you saying you agree with having level restrictions on what you can and cannot kill or aren't you?

It seems like you're mostly against slaughtering people who can't provide you with a competitive fight.

If that's true I commend you.

    If not then I don't.

Hmmm, a nice topic. Allow me to reply.
And after that thinking, I guess I voted the wrong way. I should have gone for the 'I disagree' part, after all.

    I'd agree if:
    - Indeed you don't like to be annoyed all day and only want to PK people your range. I find it a bit cruel indeed the fact that one does nothing else but annoy a low level person to get all of his/her belongings. It's like going in the street (beat'em up style) with your kitchen knife and some t-shirt (but for some reason, gems in your pocket), and having to deal with thugs armed with an AK-47 and bulletproof vest.

    - If you want to test other people without that silly preparation dueling asks for.

I disagree on the fact that:
    - This is indeed a PvP server. If you don't enjoy PK that much or find it too ruthless, go to a PvE server, as chances are it will never change. I'd even say I am glad PWI has no forced PK, except in some parts of cube, Dragon Temple and such.
Needless to say, if you go over all odds and are one of the best in one of the PvP servers (and this without 'shortcuts'), you get my respect, somehow.

    - Binding charms exist. If I were to be worried about items, I'd secure them before anything else.

    - PWI has an open world and separate instances for each team. So if you wanted instances with open PK reserved to a certain range of levels, this is not the case here. Expect to be ganked.

    - Even if you had ranges of levels for PK, there are huge chances you go against alts of high level people and/or those who cashshopped, at one point or another. See my point?

In sum, even if your idea ever was implemented (which I guess is never), not only this would create massive QQ and ragequit, but you'd still have major imbalances of power, typical of MMOs. b:bye
Maintenance time. Please choose a line:
    - When is it over? OMG I need my fix!! *super spazzing*
    - Fix the damn bugs, dammit! I'm so angry! I'll quit!!
    - New codes out there? I like free stuff~ *wink*
    - When will we get new content? QQ
    - Will we get sales? I got a ton of gold to spend.
    - I'm bored, I'll create a useless thread to annoy Opkorock.
    - *Incessant poking on Sweetiebot* Fun~

It's pretty obvious that PVP in PWI is broken as hell. If you want to enjoy PKing, go play another game, **** the whole 'reroll on a PVE server' BS.

Then again, some random level 100 powerleveled nub killing level 32 nubs is what this game is all about now...
    101 Sage Sin*/Archer
    100 Demon BM*/Barb
    96 Demon Cleric/Sage Seeker
    95 Demon Wiz/
    94 Sage Veno
    85 Psy/80 Mystic
And a handful of other alts, all 79 and under.
    *Pre RB level

Now? When has it ever been any different on the PvP servers? Other than the powerleveled nub part, that is. High levels have ALWAYS killed lowbies on this game. Thats part of life on a PvP server.

So i have read all the replies out, and see that most of people that disagree are the ones that are running around doing exactly what has been stated here. and yes the one that lost the Drake, is the person that I was referring to, but his name was not red it was pink and the person stated that he would return the items, and then pk'd him again.

Before you jump to any thoughts his name was pink by mistake, he attacked somebody in our own squad when playing with the shield settings as so did the other person.

I still stand by what I written originally, there should be some limits when it comes to pk'ing and paid items should never be dropped.

Thanks to everybody who has put input in here where it was agreeing or disagreeing. hopefully somebody from the Dev team will see it and take the same time I have to read all post listed.

And fuzzy you really need more then just some pretend philosophical one liner.

    Barb: Hill!
    Me: aggro them
    Barb:...HILL
    Me: aggro, quick!
    Barb:...hill (dies) WTF fail cleric
Sin: LOL you should have hill him, fail cleric
Veno: LOL your heal was so late. Stupid cleric.
    Me: ....(rezzes barb)
Barb: Why you didn't hill me
Me: Because there were 3 mobs that were attacking you that you didn't aggro. It would have switched to me
Barb: I had aggro, i ran up them and they chase me. Thats why i run around.
Me: Okay but you have to maintain aggro, otherwise i get heal aggro and die
Barb: There is no such thing as heal aggro
    Sin: Stupid cleric
Veno: you only get heal aggro in BB. FAIL CLERIC LMAO

    (VenusArmani has left the squad)

    Barb whispers: WTF?!?!

    Should have been:

    Barb: Hill
    Cleric: WTF is "hill"?
    Barb: HILL
    Cleric: DROPS SQUAD

first off, you cant attack someone in your own squad, no matter what your shield setting are.

having pvp set for specific level ranges will only lead to higher levels with alts at the top of the range. I've seen it in other games with similar level ranges, certain areas open to lvl 40 and below, 60 and below and 80 and below, you just wind up with tricked out lvl40/60/80 respectively and feed any extra xp to your genie.

a dynamic pvp range wouldnt be much different. and would be that much harder to code, there for that much more unlikely to happen.

you are correct, you can not pk somebody in your own squad. but I used that phrase incorrectly, basically because it was two of them mess'n around one died the other didn't. they both disjoin'd the squad and rejoin'd afterwards. My apologies on the lack of complete information in the last post of mine... never the less they were just mess'n around... thanks for set'n straight for other readers, just in case i may have caused some confusion for new players.

If they were "both mess'n around" than that means that neither would have turned pink. If you attack someone, and they attack you back, regardless of who kills who, you dont get infamous hours. The ONLY way to get any hours is to kill a pure white name who never fought back.

And regardless, accident or not, he should have been more careful if he didnt want to lose anything.
