    It is. Because this censorship is unjust, it cripples game features, and it is careless in comparison to much better ways that pwi could handle censoring.

    I find the word minx offensive (Can mean a sneaky woman who tries to weasel into beds then out with the guy's money) I'm going to start a petition to have "Minx" added to the censor filter.     Ticket update! This Tuesdays maintenance will have the filter reverted back to what it was two weeks ago. Enjoy!

    OMG sweet. Even if imo, delaying the fixing of this issue is sort of an insult(we have seen emergency maintenance for CS issues b:chuckle)
    This is still great to see it being reverted. Hopefully, in the future, the GMs will actually do what GMs are supposed to do in regards to this topic, rather than simply imposing something ridiculous like this censor.

    Nice to see all the alt accounts coming out now. It's cause of people breaking rules to begin with like oh..... say having multiple accounts to troll an spam forums, the vulgar world chats, and char ini editing that caused them to enable such a harsh filter in the first place. Sorry your obviously so mad about it but its users like you that caused it in the first place.b:bye

    Basically all they did with this patch was free themselves from the work of moderating world chat. I mean they never did it and probably never will. Because you'd need a few people watching it 24/7 which might be boring. And after hours of boringness I can imagine how the WC mods will ban everyone who is not asking for FCC heads. b:chuckle

    So that being said. I'd accept this cencorship if they would implement a switch. Otherwise reverse it.

    To be honest, too many people on this game get away with going around the rules and world chat goes completely out of control with nastiness pretty much daily. I'd rather have chat be too censored than not enough...

    For those people who made the nasty toon names... deal with it or make new toons... you choose the name plain and simple...

    Major thumbs up to PWi for trying to fix an issue!!! Thank you so much! Now you have time to go make the game better in other areas... <333

    I'd rather have a switch. I don't mind people talking vulgar, it's even funny sometimes. But it's really annoying to see censored names and even skills. Half of the chat gets censored for no reason, just because ceirtain words contain parts of censored words.

    I agree it is hilarious when some comments are made or a boss chat/skill gets "bleeped out" but to be honest I look at it this way keep the censors and PWi can rename or add skill names, etc to their "not censored" list. However, there is a difference in saying kiss my butt to someone and going so nasty that people want to hurl... I shouldn't have to see this **** on WC when I'm buying or selling items...     Now the huge flaw in your logic is that what is considered vulgar in some instances is considered completely normal in others. For example: "bite me" is only vulgar when the thought is wholly and truly twisted in an individual's mind to be perverted. Then the fault lies with the individual and not the phrase. "bite me" is used in casual conversation all over the world, many times used as a snap at a friend or associate who points out a mistake in something you do.

    Friend: omg stop hf'ing, it doesn't work here nub.
    You: bite me.

    As for 'nasty toon names', most of the time, the names aren't even meant to be nasty.

    The main problem with the current **** censorship is that it censors out normal words due to it containing a word or phrase that Pwi deems vulgar. For example, even their own bosses are censored because they say 'you can't defeat me' as 'eat me' is apparently vulgar.

    Now the switch idea would be good. If you don't like what you're reading, flip the switch and live in your blissful world of asterixes.

    What makes me mad is that I thought of a name Kagikumai, well if I knew there was gonna be a patch a year and a half later that blocked "K.U.M." when its not used in a sexual phrase I would have never done it. Not like I can read the minds of people through computers thousands and thousands of miles away

    I find it interesting and amusing that you fail to explain how the words quantity and defeat me are "trash" as you put it. Or why those words are censored, yet ****, v-a-g, a-s-s, ****, ****, titties, ****, and boobies are not censored ingame.

    Most of these censors seem to be coming from terms that are in the urban dictionary, terms that the majority of people playing this game(and probably in general) would never normally know.

    please explain the vulgarity of the words quantity, sanctity, and treatment, as well as the phrase "defeat me" spoken by a boss in Nirvana(they actually censored this boss!)

    Also, please explain how the names Scuzeme, JanusZeal, Gilthanus, Retityal, wallsdenyme, Angelsdie, Scrappers

    Seriously remove the chat filter and put in a 18+ verification let this game go back to the adults who are here yes we may act like children but we dont need them here..

    Seriously i cannot use alot of my normal words or phrases anymore telling people just cause i am Japanese and asian mutt, i cant even say japanese without it being asterisked out whats with that if your gonna be stupid like that then asterisk random letter combinations like wth and omg and the such as apparently you think those abbreviations may be vulgar or offensive.

    Now lets see who think this is a good idea:
    Let the individual client/user choose what they want filtered give us a clicky option on the user menu so we can choose what is censored instead of the auto stuff your doing that screws up daily conversation over things like the country of japan and how its recovering from the earthquake and tsumani and everything
    Give us adults options!!!!! Seriously PWI = perfect world ( not what we got ) PWI= Perfectly whiny idiots ( what i have been playing for last oh 9 months )

    Great summary, but not your idea, xD.

    Btw, they don't give us a choice on UI as well. I myself still use the old UI. In the options there is a way to change it to the new UI. But once you change it, the option disappears.

    The problem is that the programmers just blocked words without any thought of usage and context.

    As anyone will tell you, do a job properly or don't do it at all.
