What's The Deal with End Game?

Setting PVP considerations aside, (I have no use for it.) what is the point of rushing pell mell to end game?

Lets say for arguments sake that I pay whatever it takes to hyper level to 100 and buy rank 9 gear.

It would appear to me that what is left then is the opportunity to repeat, ad nauseum the level 100 instances.

It sounds like rushing to no content and repetition. But if it is otherwise please, pray tell, inform me.b:thanks

More or less it's cause the majority of the high lvls (like myself) have been in this game so long we just don't give a f*ck about the quests/BH/etc inbetween lvl 1 and 100.

Others....They are noobs and think end-game is where all the fun is it >.>
Nothing worthwhile to mention here, enjoy the animated signature~

<.< Beginning game content is seriously such a bore. It's the same quest different mob(sometime same mob different name...).

Someone who hypers a char to 100 than gets a full set of R9 is NOT a new players tho lol. Its someone that already reached endgame on their first char and wanna stay on top even tho they are re-rolling. They have most likely done all the quests from lvl 1-90 at least once and participated in hundreds of fail BHs with random squads.

So its several reasons to rush really. You dont wanna repeat the boring low-mid levels again and you want your new char to be as strong as the old one (specially in PvP) asap. It doesn't feel very productive to do quests for 20k exp and 5k coins either, at least if you're used to the exp and coins you can get at 100+.

Anyway all content is equally boring. Instances or quests at 2X-8X aren't more fun than those at 100+. Endgame content is at least more group oriented than lower levels, most people find that more entertaining than just killing mobs by yourself. Low-Mid levels should really be group oriented to but everyone is hypering FCC so you be all by yourself questing. Higher level instances are also more rewarding in terms of coins i guess and thats probably the biggest reason why people rush - and the PvP of course.

"End Game" in PWI is a myth.

"End Game Content" in PWI does not exist.

Nirvana (an instance to farm materials for gear or sell for coins).
    BH100s
    Delta
If you're lvl 100 and 5 aps, you should do amazingly well in the later TTs (3-1, 3-2, and 3-3)

If you're absolutely crazy about PKing or territory wars or doing well in the tiger event, there is that too.

    ***

After I get my veno and cleric to 100, I hope I can take it slow, farm a lot of coins, and see if I can make one of those newfangled assassins that are all the rage now.

dont forget rushing to 105 for the soon to be released rank 13 gear that costs 90 bajillion coins.

but seriously i see a lot of genuinely new players coming in and once they hear about this "fc" thing.. they beg to be powerleveled to end game asap. to those people all I have to say is "why the rush?" If you don't plan to PvP or TW - take it slow and easy. Do the starter instances and learn your class. Being a level 101 noob in honestly no better than being a level 19 noob.

I have no idea what would you do at lvl 101+ with R9 and you don't PK. For me "end game" is farming for better gears in different places and merchanting in archosaur. I'm getting better gears piece by piece and once (never) I get best gears that is possible i most likely quit. If you skip getting gears part by cashshopping there is nothing but events and pvp left.

I did powerlevel my sin with my cleric just because the sin is helping me farm gears for my cleric.

To be fair - the rest of the game is almost completely unpopulated.

If you want to play (other than alt-FC rubbish or solo) then you have to be at least70+ and that level is rising.

Because most of the real players are that level, and everyone else is alts. The very few true new players are completely stuck.

The point is, those who rush "pell mell" to endgame (in most cases, their first or main character) aren't going to have the patience to farm and thus be more apt to spend real $.

One can also say they are highly afraid of bots running rampant and thus make them obsolete by letting you get to 100 in a few days. However, even if the latter were the explanation, the lack of endgame content, fixing bugs in the few things there are to do endgame, shows they intend on you basically doing jack **** endgame besides spending cash, as per consistent cash shop updates but little in the way of endgame content/fixes. There's also no point in using 99% of the PWI map, besides mandatory cultivation. The game pretty much hinges on Frost/PV, Nirvana, high end BH's, and TW/PVP.

There are 2 cathegories of players that rush to 100-101:
    1. the newbie players that heard about FC/FF and they want it " wow i can be like those 2 years old players within few weeks" They are easily recognized as the noobs that wipe squads in BH or/and the noobs that have no clue how to use half of their skills.
    2. the old players that have already lvled to 90+ with quests and fbs or bhs, that have learned the game the hard way and have no more patience to lvl up a toon on normal quests, all they wanna do is get at the point their other toon was a continue from there. These are the awesome geared no name players that rise every now and then and no1 knows where they come from (80% of them not all)

When people walk away from you, let them go... your destiny is never tied to anyone who leaves you.. and it doesn't mean they are bad people.. It just means that their part in your story is over...

the suggestion that the rest of game is unpopulated is a myth. i actually do my quests on all of my alts ( and i have many many) and i find getting squads for lower BHs and finding chatty people is actually easier for me in mid levels than sitting in arch for 2 hours shouting for a Barb or a Cleric for an 80-90 FF

As for people who rush...people who Plvl their chars tend to already have high level chars and they want to reach the same level as they were fast. However i did come across a little lvl 29 psychic like the new players vitenka mentioned, who whispered me after seeing my name on WC. the conversation went like this

Noobling: "can you help me please"

Me : "sure hun what can i do for you"

    Noobling "im lost"

    Me: "squad me"

Noobling: "i dont know how to squad theres nobody around me and i dont know where i am"

after an hour of me patiently explaining the game to her it was revealed that not only did she not know she could fly.....she hadnt been told what her stash box was, she didnt know how to set teh auto track or bring up the map, and her boyfriend had convinced her to join, Plvld her to 29 pretty much from start....and she had no idea that quests , wings, maps etc even existed. she was stuck around Broken Bow Bluff on one of the hills. i ended up flying my butt over there then running her back to arch killing anything in her way cause she didnt know which buttons to press. it was sad. she had also built the psychic 1 str 1 dex 1 mag 2 vit all the way up.

In conclusion Old players just get bored. thats fair enough they worked their butt off to get there for two years then sure hyper. but new players should not be allowed near FF at all. and Tbh it Is possible to have fun lower down. ive been playing a long while and i only have a lvl 87 char as a main...but then my quest list is clear and i have a lot of alts which i still have fun on in bh 39 etc. My advice for new players is get a nice faction...they do exist...and just have fun if you arent into PVP. not everyone is

i lvled 2 characters to lvl 79 w/o hypers or FC... and the quests on the 2nd character (my sin) was sooo slow... so now im lvl 100 and there is still so much for me to do that is better then questing at the low lvls... i havent quested since lvl 80 and i dont think i missed much... its nice to work on getting end game gear and then refining it... and pk is always fun too...

this idea of making your own fun is why i am still playing after 18 months.

when my dreams of R9 melted back during the winter, i took a hard look and thought about what i really like to do.

i like seeing what i can solo. so now i have motivation again to farm and wheel and deal to get cash for better gear to kill a bigger mob or boss. my main has been L90 since last 2x drops at easter. i killed feng and wyvern and eyes of crimson(L90 cleric) recently, so my gear deveopment AND learning boss fights really really well has gone up a bit even at same level. gargantakong flat pwned my toon, so i have a new goal...figure out the gargantakong fight and how to win...and so on...

that was exciting as anything ive ever done. i had to walk away from the PC after those fights..long and sooo close to death..WHATTARUSH

i was happy to see some peeps yakking about a veno/mystic only FC run on WC last nite.
they were saying what a blast that was, 1st time didnt die etc etc..loving life.. i was soaking up the happy vibe right through the innerwebz. the did something different and actually had fun again..SWEET!

    When I get bored:

1 - head to Chronos map 1 and spike that boss (blackhole) from above and fly to watch his funny run as he chases me.

2 - run across map to another city w/o aviation or mount and no hitting mobs as u run (teleporter tag) - race someone else

3 - survive the day in NPC gear

4 - fly low, and buzz grouped land mobs- see if you can split them up (mob bowling) - me and my friend used to do this.

6 - do a LEROY!!!! in fc - when you hit a new level and see if you survive...

yea i do that with blackhole aswell too funny haha xD i like annoying harpy aswell see in how many secs i get smacked down lol

    Where is Harpy?

Smh... 101s don't even tho where harpy is anymore... But I digress

Harpy is located Left of the "great wall" in the north east part of the map, near the fatties that BMs use to aoe grind on back in the day.

I believe the city nearest is called immoliation camp but the name escapes me because I'm not looking at a map

Sorry lol i have seen otherwise. a super heavy cser (who i wont name in arch) that has spent at least 10 times the cost of buying R9 (the cost of it now at least), and could have spent more since i stopped playing some time ago. And that was the first toon he/she created XD. No farming and no questing basically, so i doubt that all those hypering players are "pro" so to speak. The game is for enjoying, it takes quite something in this game to become pro in my eyes.

Of course there are pros i can commend, those that are good at farming difficult TT runs (and not just by using uber gear, at least when i was still playing the game), or does well commanding TWs over voice chat, or management of factions. Being able to 1 shot someone is not pro at all, maybe pro at making/spending RL money, but does not show your skills and understanding of the game itself :D

The deal is there is no endgame content, plain and simple.

Closest thing is joining a TW guild for TW, but no sane person would consider TW to be gamewide endgame content.

end game content died when PWI first introduced packs w/ lunar weapons inside of them. All end game gear is able to be purchased in the CS (even warsoul just buy chips). This leaves no real incentive to players to participate in elite dungeons that drop those items (or parts to assemble). Personally I think the American based PWI wanted to remove packs but the main company in china who liscensed the game didnt because it generated a lot of revenue for them. But to be perfectly blunt, we as the community had the power to get rid of packs, but the temptation of getting end game items instantly w/ no in game work was to great to resist. We are a soceity driven by instant gratification, if we can't have it now we dont want it. Gotta keep the servers up somehow.
