Make FF/FC 80+ Only

FF/FC has been now turned into the prime PWI "Power leveling" service. The instance was meant to be 80+ and sadly now lvl 1's are going into the instance and turning level 60/70 in a matter of minutes.

If the instance is meant to be 80+ why not make it so 80 - are NOT able to enter the instance.
This would eliminate Plvling on all servers, and make the game how it was supposed to be.

Level and skill obtained through Quests, and time.

Plvling is annoying, was in the past and is now in the present. b:surrender

But sadly it is supported by the thousands of players that can't play the game how it was supposed to be

Why not make the instance 70/80+ so that Plvling is eliminated on the servers?

Why? The majority of the playerbase these days ARE oldtime players. Do you wanna level your next character all the way to xx level again by just quests/dailies?
Anyway, for new players, they would have to either
A.) know someone who would take them on FC runs
B.) have enough coins to cover the cost of hypers/teleporting/entrance fee to buy heads.
Most AVERAGE new players do not have the coins to do B, and do not know level 100's for A.

Stop worrying so much about what other people are doing. If they choose to powerlevel and skip earlier content, that is their choice. You are free to level as slowly as you like without needing to impose your will on others.

well plvl zhen at PQ also is pretty popular, but that seems to be easier to fix. remove exp from mobs and give more exp for quest. on archosaur server it was impossible to do PQ because both pits are full with zhenners

Most people make money nowadays with FCC by selling heads. Eliminating that would just make it more difficult to buy certain things with the current gold price, ijs.

This is character #4 for me that's leveled past 60. While I did quests on all of them, I'll be damned if that's all I'm gonna do for the 4th time around to hit 100+ on this char.

QQing about powerleveling in fc isn't gonna fix anything. Besides, they will find other ways around it. b:bye

I don't see the problem really. I hated my initial cleric's name, so I deleted her and made a new one. The old toon was level 75. I'm thankful for FF because it gave me a chance to get this toon to 75 before I continued with it.

I think bottomline, it really depends what a player thinks is best. If the player has the money and wants to plvl it, why not? They have the coins and hypers, so go ahead. I think it's a bigger concern that plvl-ed toons don't learn their characters.

I went to an instance where the barb did not know how to roar and hold aggro. Epic. But that's for a separate thread. Or else ChaoticShelly will lock this thread! b:shocked

Fuzzy pretty much hasta agree with the above point.

It matters not what others choose to do. The only impact it may have upon you is when you squad with someone who fc'd from 1-100 in a few weeks and run into a problem during a bh etc as a result. However, if this is the case, just make a note not to squad with said person again. Problem solved.

If I understand right then you are wrong. what other players do does affect me an my game play. It affects my ability to get squads an it affects the economy in the game which has to do with me making or loosing coin and time.

    ...That's an archer, dood. >.>;;;

Anyways, yeah. P-leveling is a problem. But it's the players behind the toons that make it a problem, more than the system itself. Stupid people are gonna be stupid regardless of level. It's just more obvious at 100+ is all. b:sweat

Part of me agrees and part not really.... I've been here a long time so I'm considered an old time player as well. I leveled both of my 100 toons the long and hard way. My very first character I stopped at 50 but if I'd continued with her, I probably would have been the right level to see FF before it was even turned into the exp instance that it is now.

It was no different than TT. People can use level 1 cleric alts to open TT if they want because there's no level restriction to get into the instance. I'm sure they never changed it for FF obviously, since EXP wasn't the original point of FF in the first place.

I can't see any reason they would change it now. People make coins off services to Plvl people, and possibly PWE makes money from people who are unfortunate enough to buy hypers from CS (lol) or use it to buy coins in order to pay for plvl in the first place. But like most have said these are mostly long time players and it's rare that it's newbies. Though I have seen plenty of genuine newbies who were plvl'd and don't know the game that well at all even by level 40-60. I think we've all had fail squads before due to someone not understanding their class. Can't really blame it on the plvl but more on the person behind the keyboard.

If you plan to plvl you had better take the time to study your class. Otherwise no one will have any reason to squad you later on at end-game levels. You either make it or break it later on. People wont give you time of day if you don't know what you're doing by level 100. Even 90s. lol.

One of the reasons I hate FCCing with other sins. 99.9% of them are power-leveled alts who have no idea how to be squad supportive in anyway...or even use attack skills to gain chi. I facepalm every time I see sins auto-attacking Shocktrooper for chi instead of using TS or Dragon Strike.

I've not only had a sin in a previous FC squad do this, but one of my recent squads had a fist bm that was doing this despite me having a spark ready, and they knew in advance to tell me if they needed sparks anytime out of the usual(the usual being invoke, bb, hf, etc)

I've also had sins beg me to pass them sparks.
