Is russian language going to be forbidden forever?

I was rly surprised, when logged into the game and saw that i cant write on my native language anymore. I want to know the reason why it is like this?

    Truthfully.. they seem to be on a censoring rampage, which I guess includes Russian, both in game and the forums -- I wonder what made them pissed off enough to actually start caring about words since most people circumvent the filter every single day. Although, it's pretty hilarious and deserving how badly they're **** their own game up trying to censor it to hell.

    YAY!! No more MASSIVE blocks of text in world chat. Now if only we could get everyone else to speak English in world chat.

    It`s a start, they should filter out all non English words, but it`s impossible, for example, why

    should I bother 2 run BH, whatnot, where people communicate in a different language,

    usually the oh so "loved" BR`s, keep it English! (and no English is not my native language but I

    support the idea that it should be the only language spoken in the game)

    when I find spanish-speaking people, I use them to practice my spanish. I see nothing wrong wihth PRIVATE conversations being in ANY language. however, puglic (as in world chat) should be kept to english only. that's my stand on it

    Like it was ever international to begin with. They censor the forum to be English only, and the timing of the events caters to US timezones. Maybe when they open up the European servers they will change us to PW-US and them to PW-EU and the idea of PWI, (which was never really International other than ppl play from everywhere it's not IP banned), will finally die.

    Some people still don't understand that internation means something diferent than world wide.

    Internation = in 2 or more country's. In this case china, and the US, and other country's also playing

    If they remove russian letters it doesnt mean that i wont write russian words.. It just makes some difficulties but dont change the meaning. So, i think i will just start to speak russian in wc more to show my protest to this stupid innovation..

    why intentionally segregate yourself? dont you understand, you breed trouble maintaining a difference. i block out all people adding noise to my text screen. this means you dont sell to me, you dont buy from me, you dont get my cleric or barb in your squad.

    The events cater to North and SOUTH American timezones, get it right.

    PWE is probably covering their asses because to many people complained about not understanding their party members, and since they probably charge enough Zen that PWE will listen to them, and then they went censor happy.

    Also its PWI, Not PW(English Only) leave the people free to speak other languages, if ya don't like it then either leave, ignore them, or learn the language they're speaking.

    I think this is a good move from pwi, why can Russians write in Russian letters while other people (like me for example lol) cannot write in their native language letters. Being able to still communicate in Russian using English letters, that's another issue, but I think what pwi did is plain fair.

    TBH I don't think they would want to squad with someone like you either. My native language is English but I'm trying to learn Japanese. Sometimes, it's just easier to speak in English if I'm with a Japanese person that understands both. Because when I think, my thoughts and dreams are in English. Even when I know how to say what I want to say in Japanese, sometimes the word i'm looking for is on the tip of my tongue but I just can't think of it and just use the english term. It's nothing against you when they do that. I do agree it should be filtered out of World Chat and general chat, because when you speak in those channels it's the same as public speaking. It's for everyone, so it's rude to talk to someone in a language they don't understand. But I can see how if they are saying "so and so, if you are online, PM Me!" They may not even think about it and just use the language they always speak to that person in. I see no reason to blacklist for something like that.

    personally i love listening(rewading) like phillipine and indonesian w/e languages..they are like music...as peeps general chat in arch or w/e not a problem

    i should have specified WC also...i love languages, just not in the WC where we need a common communication base

    -_- lol you ninjaed me. I wrote that before you responded and cleared up you only meant world chat, and then deleted the post. :P

    although if you are looking for your friend who you know doesn't speak any language other than say Russian for example, a Russian world chat would be appropriate. Or if you are looking for the leader of a russian guild that is a russian language only guild. So there are places where it would be appropriate and not at all rude to quickly give one tiny shout to let the person know you are there. The people who spam in different languages and have whole conversations is a different story but I really don't see that very often. Certainly not enough to warrant a filter. I see more english speakers spamming it than anyone else, tbh

    Using a different language also allows different players to comunicate with you better, now this is a MMORPG, emphasis on MMO, y'know Massive Multilayer Online, which means many people. Now follow the logic here because it gets tricky....
    People who play the game come from many different backgrounds, which could mean that they speak a different language better than another, so they use that language to communicate and befriend people.
    Now calling that language gibberish is an act of racism, because you are implying that Language x is gibberish and that language y is better.

    Please do us all a favor, sow your mouth shut and chop off all you fingers so you may never repeat such idiocy.

    hey guys, call it what you want. im trying to explain a very real condition.

    im tryig to explain why WC in other than COMMON language causes problems, that's all

    i dont dislike anyone. the point is when you type unreadable letters into WC when you are 100% able to use english, you insult me, and you know i'm not alone. i'm just trying to explain to you.

    bad, good, evil, whatever..it is real, now you know. so if you have read this and continue to post in WC in unreadable languages, then i assume you are causing trouble deliberately by having this "secret public" thing going on....

    wise up, friends are better than enemies, especially over deliberately caused things...wow what a waste...

    Lenie, English is your third language?!? You speak it better than a lot of the people on here who were born speaking it. Very impressive. Also, I can see what OP means by if you're using common chat and speaking to everyone, you should be using a language that everyone understands. Nobody likes to be talked over. The way he worded initially just made it sound kind of racist, but now I think he's just being narrow minded and not putting himself in their shoes.

    you are 100% correct, the letters wasnt the problem. using those letters in WC was the problem. and i assume many stubborn people will continue to use non-english in WC to show they are mad.

    Fun fact, people native to languages often speak, and write, worse than people who're not native.

    How come, if someone asks a question in a forum, at least 13/20 posts answers the question in the same exact way, 5/20 word the exact same answer differently and 2/20 say something completely unrelated to both life and death?

    Actually it hits on your post exactly, you assume players know the language your speaking in, thus if they speak a different language they must be doing it to make people mad, when really its a better way of communicating for them. And I'm saying its a different form of communicating, and because it wasn't in a language you understand it means it wasn't even intended for you so you dont need to get your panties in a bunch.

    also saying your posts are quite racist...or narrow minded, but imo that's still no excuse for racism
