So why were the mats from FCC removed?

Make it easier to level, make it harder to get gear without cash shopping . . .

That, I agree with.

Considering that they do have green and (some) gold gear as drops, I don't see why they don't either allow all the golds to drop at the same abysmal rate (very few overall do the last part of FCC where all the gold drops are, so the flood wouldn't be too horrible) or just re-introduce the mats at a lower drop rate.

Well, the obvious answer is so they can make more $$ from packs but... yeah. >_>

I got one too The arcane one with channeling (moonshade mirage headwear). And I still do use it. Why pay 25 mil for a warsoul one when you have something quite as good for less than half the price (payed mine 8 mil, refined and sharded) and that is muuuuch more rare and looks cooler ? <.<

My theory, which is 100% speculation, has always been that they planned to put the mats back in with obvious changes to the drop rates but were forced by management to release the instance before they were able to finish. You can sort of see the same thing in the new Lunar where certain valleys still (to the best of my knowledge) don't really work.

It wouldn't be a big deal if all of the old Frost items dropped from bosses, but many / most don't. As a result, those items have been effectively removed from the game. You can't get the items, and you can't get the mats to make them.

notice there's absolutely ZERO response on this thread? They dont' want to flat out admit they could give a rat's *** about the normal players anbd want everything good in the cash shop forcing u to charge at some point, even just a little. Free gear in a advertised free to play game? Gear u can take time to farm for and work for? ......................... lol ya right **** that, empty your wallets.

the mats that dropped were TT gold mats. go to TT if you want them

and no not ALL the gear drops from bosses. quite a bit, rarely, but not all of it.

Saddens me still that FF can't be farmed for what it was meant. I envy the folks on PW in China when it first released. They got all the content as it was meant to be. I don't know, was FF still farmable on PW-MY for a while?

Either way I wish we'd been given more a chance to farm it. It'd be a hell of a lot less boring to have some variety to the dungeons we can farm. And you can get some pretty awesome gear from the old FF forge.

But they don't care really, it's all about money here. They saw opportunity to put those farmable equipment in packs and went for that instead. More money in their pockets. At least Lunar is still farmable but how many people actually want to pay a 3mil entrance fee each run? I rarely if ever see people shouting for Lunar runs and I myself have only done maybe four in the 3+ years I've been on here.
