New player looking for faction

Hello, my friend and I are new to Perfect World and looking for a faction. We are casual players, but will likely play at least a couple times a week -- hard to say for sure, since we're new to the game! We play in CST, usually evenings. Always nice to see people online.

We could use a faction to help us get into the game and meet a few people. We're both in our 20s IRL, so we'd prefer a more mature environment... no offense to anyone -- it's not about age at all, I just don't feel like hearing l33tspeak, talk about lolcybar, players named xCloudStrife666x and such constantly... if that's your thing, that's cool, I'm just sayin~. Also, we might like to get into high-level events eventually.

I browsed the list here http://pwi-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=548792, but it's hard to tell which factions are active, which are dead, etc.

    To be completely honest... Idk if there's any factions that check forums that will give you this. Raging Tides is better known as Trolling Tides. Just play and meet up with a faction in game. Thats my best advice. <3

    Belle is right in that you will have more success in-game looking for a faction that you ever will here on the forums

    The panda would suggest keeping an eye on world chat and talking to some of the people you see recruiting. It may take an attempt or two before you find one that is to your liking, but Fuzzy is sure that a littler perseverance will pay off in the end.

    I'm not sure what you guys like between PvE and PvP, but Dauntless is a lvl 3 casual PvE faction. We're a pretty mature group that goofs off sometimes. Most of our players are college students 19 years old or older. We've got a friendly environment and helpful people. We're always connected -- aside from standard faction chat, you can always post messages/private message on our site's forums.
