Question regarding Sage/Demon Skills!

For some time now, i was looking at the ways to acquire them. And i found out 3 ways:
1)Instance/BH runs
2) Craft and get a random skill book
3) AH
For #1, getting the book that you need is.... unless you are pretty lucky.
For #3 The is a small handful variety of skill books, very little, good enough to get you a couple .
So i wonder, how do people get skills books, since for #1 the chance is nilch, for #2 you can waste all of the money in the world and still not get it, and for #3 there are mostly none of the one you need or at all.

I'd like to expand on this question since i cant' find a answer after searching... My veno's 85, i was looking at skill books last night and even got a couple really cheap. Now, you can get skill books at a forge in the Cube, the forge at 1K, inside OHT i think, and at the Boutique Agent. Now i read somewhere here that you can get the entire list of books listed at one of those in one shot. Take for instance the forge at 1K, it lists 8 or ten skills (for veno anyway). However, every single one of those places it says in the pop up window "Contains ONE of the following" or something like that. Makes me think at any of those places, every time you try it you'd only get ONE random book.
Some things in this game are worded so badly I want to make sure since i read it here somewhere recently..... do any of those npc's/forges give you the entire list of 5 or ten books? or is it just one random book?
And what's up with the mystical Librian at 1K? says 30 pages for a boook, but then it has a list of differing amount of books for each class and veno's 360 pages for 12 books i think it was. But which books?0 -
Some skill books ONLY drop in dungeons. Farm them, or AH/catshop.
Most of the rest, however, can also be crafted from tokens. And there's a skill-clip which contains a SET of *most* of the 92 books for a class. Check whether it has the ones you want first, though.
Most people either use the clip, or craft books from pages and sell the ones they don't want to buy the ones they do.
Edit: Skill clip is at the mysterious librarian in 1k. And yes, it contains what it says it contains - several books - and yes, it uses 300+ tokens (depends on class)
Though there's currently some bug with the earthguard one, I think?

The 30 pages will get you a random skill. 360 will get you the book clip containing all of those skills.

sage/demon skills become learnable at different levels, in (as i understand it) three stages. some become available at 89, some at 92, and some at 99.
these three stages have different sources for the books.
of the 89 skills, some only drop from mobs/bosses, mainly in FB89. these you have to get lucky with, or buy off the AH. other 89 skills you can make from mysterious pages, which you make from tokens --- the books you get this way are random, so it's luck of the draw and some of them getting very expensive on the AH.
the 92 skills, you can make with old book pages or advanced mystical pages. these you can manufacture one book at a time and get a random book, OR you can pay the mysterious librarian an outrageous number of advanced mystical pages for a full collection of the level-92 books.
(actually, with that latter very-expensive complete-collection method, you get a complete set of books that can be made from advanced mystical pages. this happens for most classes to be all the 92 books, plus possibly some 99 books. in the case of some oddball classes, a few 92 books will be missing from this set.)
old book pages are made with warsoul tags, or with some unusual reward from the cube (book credit cards) that i myself have never even seen in game. they also drop in rebirth delta if you go in far enough.
advanced mystical pages are made from tokens.
some classes can make some (but not all) of their level-92 books from mysterious pages, too. mysterious pages are made from tokens.
the 99 skills can be made from pages of fate or (for some of the 99 books) advanced mystical pages, random picks again. i do not know of any way to create a full collection of pages-of-fate books the way you can with AMP ones. again, some classes can have some of their 99 books made from the random-pick mysterious-pages path as well --- but not all classes, and usually only one or two books at most.
pages of fate are rewards for running the cube, or can be made from warsoul tags.
some books --- mainly level-89 ones, but not exclusively those --- can also drop from bosses in FB99. these are, however, reported as very rare drops.

It's not so bad really, just takes a little more time. Like with the veno random one, you have ~8% chance to get one random skill out of 12 when using advanced mystical pages. Instead, you can save up the 360 pages, which is 12 skills x 30, and have 100% chance, getting all of them at once.
But yeah, sucks a bit for the other onces that can only be random

99 books are either from pages of fate or from advanced mystical pages/book clips, however , the skills you want are usually the sage/demon versions of the skills you get at lvl 59, those can only be gotten with pages of fate. in the original version of the game they could drop in FB 109s, but those dungeons have been taken out, and the maps are now used for warsong and nirvana.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0

The clip gives *most* but not all of the 92 skills, and a couple of 99 skills.

Mainly fb89 for the 89 skills is not accurate. Your basic 3 starter celestial skills will drop in either of the fb89's. These skills are generally cheap.
All the other 89 skills drop from Hellfire Abomination or Peachblosom Ritualist. I am not sure of TB and EG drop rates or whats in the mix for these bosses for those classes. But in referring to the original 6 classes - Each boss has a 10% chance to drop a skill (89-only). Witht he original 6 classes you have 96 different lvl 89 books that they can drop (48 sage and 48 demon). With 6 classes and 2 orientations thats about a 1% chance for a skill you need.
That was with the original 6. Obviously the percentage and numbers have changed since TB and EG skills were added to the drop table. But (at least pre-TB) these bosses only dropped level 89 skills.
(If anyone has seen or knows where to find the new "additional drop" drop table for these 2 bosses, please point me to it)

FB99 Drops several rare/expensive books as well. I got my Deamon Ironheart from SoT. But yeah, your best way to getting your sage/demon skills is to start using pages and tokens.

Old Book Pages
Pages of Fate
All of these Items translate into Sage/Demon Skill books. MOST of them will give you a random skill book from its 'selection' On this character I am only missing two skills and I will have them all. It has taken me almost a year to collect every one. I have made quite a bit of profit off of getting demon Revive a million times though, still trying to get that last book form those Mystical Pages.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Ironheart is an 89 skill. You only get 3 basic skills per class from fb89. ALL the other 89's come from fb99.0 -

I don't think it's "up-to-date" regarding the TB or the EG skills; but with the links on the page; you can click on like Mysterious pages and follow it to like PW Database & select "random sage/demon" whatever class and it will tell you what makes what. That's how I've figured out how to get most of my Veno's skills and my Cleric's. It costs roughly 4,500,000 in ingame coins to buy enough tokens (450 tokens; no matter which pages you are making- adv myst or mysterious & that cost is when tokens are 10k a piece) to make one skill book; no matter if you're making the mysterious pages or the advanced mystical pages. So, it IS expensive. But I still think it's cheaper than paying the sometimes outrageous sums people want for rarer skills like Revive, & IH for the Cleric (25 mill??? give me a break!!) Don't the people charging that much for those realize they're for the benefit of the party the cleric is in & not the cleric themselves?? (But I'll save the rest of that QQ for a different thread:P ) Anyhow; hope that helps and GL on getting the skills you want/need
