Bullies on Forum & Ingame

The problem with that statement I highlighted is that the Mods have their own life do deal with and can't be on 24/7 fighting all the trolls that lurk on the forums and they can't do anything about the situations ingame..... also they will have to deal with the same issues as you ingame because Mods are players that play this game as well.

Other than that, I can agree with you... every time I see a newbie make a thread about needing help with something some times I see people saying troll comments (like posing the wrong build or telling them to use AA armor even though they need to use HA) that are not reliable at all and soon gets bashed/trolled/flamed and in the end the newbie gets no help at all and is left with a bunch of dumb comments or if a Newbie asks what class should the chose I would most likely see people say "Just go assassin and roflfacedeskpwn everything" with no reason why they should pick that class. Players have been less helpful lately (but not everyone ), most likely because of all the issues that's going on in this game..... b:surrender


Btw, in most threads I see related to this one I would see post like "U Mad bro?" or "Cool Story Bro" instead of something more on-topic

I think it's better for people to learn to handle trollers and flamers rather than getting desperate over the situation. I personally believe that unless someone is hacking into your personal information and seriously impacting your life, bullying is much more of an issue face to face. When at a computer, with enough self control, one can simply turn off the machine.

Most simply choose to get angry and upset over these in game things. Or rather, can not control their emotion or put the situation into perspective. This is just a forum after all, the mods are doing what is in their boundary, they can not babysit a bunch of (mostly)adults who choose to resort to this kind of behavior every time it occurs. It is still up to you to control yourselves reasonably, and handle this "bullying".

To be honest, from the looks of that thread OP appears to be one of the aggressors in the issue, persisting to the extent in which the entire thread was derailed to become just her vs the others. The others repeatedly hinted at her taking the game matters too seriously, and honestly judging by the contents of the thread I'd have to side with that stance in the issue.

As far as "why pwi is dying slowly" I would have to say I put more blame on business practices than player interactions o.o I really think this bullying issue has been blown out of proportion.

Hi, Aizza, people like you are the reason why PvP servers are BORING and UNEVENTFUL, and the deep-seated riavlries and animosity between factions simply does not exist in the game anymore. People who play on a PvP server and act as if it's a PvE server.

People like you who report everything to GMs. Can you believe that it is now bannable to crash on a world boss killing when another faction is killing the boss? I always thought that a single resource such as a world boss should be something that is fought over. It just makes sense. There would be say, 2-3 top factions which would be interested in farming world bosses, so should theycross paths they should be able to settle differences via the age old PK method. It only MAKES SENSE on a PVP SERVER.

Anything that makes a PvP server stand out from a PvE server just gets thrown out the window by QQers like you who SHOULD BE PLAYING on a PVE SERVER. The rivalry between factions is PART OF a PvP server's whole lifestyle. YES, the whole server will continue to trash talk Valhala for losing to Ky because it was completely unexpected...a 100+ faction with so many CSing r9s losing to a faction that still recruits 90+...DISMAL performance, Valhala, DISMAL.

If you don't like it, get your guild to SHAPE UP. Don't like trash talking on world chat about your faction? Get mad, do something about it. Believe it or not, it's a PvP server, and you can do revenge killings! Go out and kill everything in sight in all areas of the map for a week straight. Camp BH entrances. Make the server go LIVE.

But don't expect to be playing on a PvP server and get the same laid back pace as a PvE server. Aizza, I think you should reroll a new main on a PvE server. You sound like a QQing, violence hating, PvE server archetype who should stop submitting tickets to GMs about normal PvP happenings and GO TO A PvE SERVER.

They taught us these wonderful rules in first grade. In my opinion, the moderators are not babysitters, and they should not be responsible for kissing and putting band aids on hurt feelings. But, NiaJade, if you think that reporting everything that walks across your path and throws names at you will help you enjoy this game, then please do, because that's your right.

It looks like your justice thread is getting the same attitude that they were giving you, but on a much less "severe" degree. But, you will keep posting anyway and keep trying to prove a point that everyone else will just continue to harass you about. Maybe the moderators should ban you from the forums for harassing Harshlands, because you called us names. IE: backstabbers.

because you decide to put your real feelings into a game so they know they can easily get to you? Dur. Stop acting like PWI (game and forums) is real life. Go outside for a bit.

for the record, bullying is so much worse in real life, no typical internet "bullying' does not match up. you can easily step away from the computer.

EDIT: I say it is not as bad cuz an online bully's fist isn't going to pop out of the screen and knock your tooth out. That kind of thing only happens in real life.

A person might take online harrassment to heart, but that doesn't mean it isn't easier to deal with if it is online, I'm not sure I want to imagine how that person would take face to face bullying.

Anyway one major difference between online bullying and face to face bullying is that generally speaking, a person who is bullied online has put themsleves in positions where they would very likely interact with the bully. Such as posting boneheaded comments on a forum page, they put themselves there and they keep coming back and answering even when there are block functions. It's like when people would rather yell at a person than blacklist them in game.

Face to face bullying is different because it is more often the bully who seeks out the bullied person, rather than the other way around.

the anonymity of the internet makes it easy for people to be jerks, however the same goes in reverse. It is much more convenient to phase out people you don't want to talk to in an internet environment than it is in a face to face environment. Wether the person continues to take it to heart is reliant on personal factors but bullying is still more easily dealt with in an online environment than it is in real life.

Hm.. people tend to act a lot different ingame or on forums than they would irl. It's kind of a dangerous anonymity being behind a screen. You can be the biggest idiot possible but it won't get back to you. And I guess we got a lot of younger people testing their limits too.

Being bullied ingame.. I had a cause of it. Some chick was stalking my ex around and talking trash to her, saying stuff like 'wow you got like myra, such an idiot', 'you fail'. Of course I told her to ignore the **** but even after she blacklisted her, she could still see her trash talk above her head if she was near. Some day I confronted her and told her if she wouldn't stop harrassing my gf, I'd report her cause I surely had enough screenshots at that time. Her response in exact words: "You will regret everything you have ever done." At that.. I just laughed. You're some girl on the internet. You don't know me irl. You don't even know my rl name lol If I decided to leave this game right now and forever, waht could you do to me?

Blacklisted her, but somewhen ended up with her as officer in the faction I was in. So I took her off. She went on again, this time whispering me about faction issues and stuff. And she tried to play faction leader to me. Didn't give much of a damn. This problem fixed itself on its own when I left the faction for a happier place. And I wouldn't hesitate to blacklist her again if she talks **** to me lol

Some people are just mean and want to hurt you. They lie, cheat and try to backstab you.
But hey, it's a game. You can blacklist them. You can report them if they threaten you. You can just log off and laugh about them. You don't need to face them unlike in rl.


Just don't answer to bullies. They get bored easily and will look out for something else to do. It's a game to have fun.
And while I agree with your inital post about the community sometimes being so damn rude and the mods should do more.. it's just like it. You're gonna gind 90% of all complainers and bullies here. The people who like this game won't spend their time on those forums whining 24/7 lol

another trick is to make use of tele stones and the illsion stones in archo. of course those only work if your in the city or use them before they start attacking you.


ppl troll like that because they know they can get away with it. plain and simple. and to ask a compeny to monitor the content of messages and actions of other players online is asking for a bit too much. why? consider this. you are grinding and someone just kills you, a day later you grind again and the same person kills you, you get mad and report him. now picture something like that happening hundreds of times a day. what i'm trying to say is, players wouldn't know when to use the report function they would report ppl when there is no need. this would result in a massive load of reports that PWE wouldn't be able to deal with. unless they have like a few hundred ppl dedicated to dealing with the issue and honestly, that may be a bit too much (cos 90% of them won't be valid)

I think that there's two sides to this "situation" (if you will). One is the people that do this to you, and the other side is you.

Have you ever, ever do something bad towards them? (even if you think it's a small thing. if it's the least bit negative, people will react to it).

And as for your side, I know at times it is hard, but what happens if you switch the screen to just showing your squad or something? Then in that way, you can't see the people that are going around you and stuff. In situations like this, they just want a reaction from you. Hopefully once they see that you don't care anymore they'll stop. Hey, just a suggestion, don't mean to offend.

And as for the forums replying after thread moves on thing, not everyone spends their time checking forums every half hour or so...... b:surrender

Can you ever stop exaggerating? I don't know what kind of picture you're trying to paint to the people of this forum who don't know better. But NO ONE has ever spoken about you in world chat, much less me. I've never even spoken AT you ingame. Only crazy people have to look at their pixelated character to communicate with someone. Please stop mentioning me as a person who harasses you because I don't even waste my thought on you. I only came here after it was revealed on a thread and you decided to mention me. And FYI, it's not stalking if you post everywhere I post which is mainly the Harshlands section because, oh my, that's my server.
