Gene Help

So, I'm not familiar with genes really. I know I should have Zeal considering I'm a veno and I mainly use mage. I invested in a level 80 exp cube and built up her stats and learned some skills but I'm not sure what she's for or.. what she can do. I just need some information.

    You don't really need zeal automatically since you're a veno. In fact, when I finally get around to leveling my veno i'd probably pick a good discipline genie since a bigger vit pool lets you spam more skills and the discipline genie starts out with a good amount of vit. :P People like zeal because you can use it's initial skill to pull. Since you're a veno, you can just use your pet to lure. Same thing goes for mystic's summons.
