what's up with ppl asking for aps?

Dude, this is a video game, not a math game. Don't expect math experts, they just go by what they've been told is ub3r. This is about as trivial as going after people for typing "your" when they mean "you're".

Looks like there are more and more sins who are fed up with that APS need APS ****,

including myself, if people doesn`t realize it`s like a disease they are living in a denial. I have

done only 2 nirvana runs in all 2x even, even thou I`m 5.0, simply because I so god damn

annoyed at all this ****. I`ll just try to do my 2x 99 keys if i manage to save for the 2nd run

then just grind for DQ`s like I usually do.

I don't have this issue, but I've been told my 4.0 APS sage sin < 5.0 aps demon sin. Sadly, this never translated during Nirv runs.

I don't know if this has been stated but why don't you just make your own nirvana squad...

I am still asking myself why the ingame stats can't show the DPS of characters. I'd rather have high DPS Sins then high APS ones.

Hey I agree, don't get me wrong. 99% of the time I only go with my wife. We do a better job than random squads and we get to take it all for ourselves (lately been helping her cousin get 5 APS, and another cleric friend get more cash -- we gave her drops for an entire run and she got 4 raps and 9 canny for herself) so for me it's pointless to even bother with world chat squads.

Yes it does. But like it's been mentioned, people are idiots. Let's look at a few examples shall we?

Idiot #1: LF 5.0 bm/sin. You join and see a sage barb, a cleric, a veno or two, a wiz and a psy. lol.

Idiot #2 LFM 5.0 bm/sins for super faster 10 min nirv. You join and you're the only 5,0, end up tanking because the rest is 2.86-3.33.

Idiot #3 LFM only 5.0 sins no cleric runs. You join to a squad full of noobs who don't know how to do anything except click the spark button, then end up begging for a rez halfway through the run.

Not to mention the fact you don't know anyone in a random squad, and more times than not you end up being scammed. A mirage and the same shard over and over again? Sure.

Myself i am 2.5 aps atm [i'm sage, yeah, and i love sage BP, k? <.<], but if i go and wear deicides, i can get to 5 aps, but my dps [it's mathed, even with the chi cost [permaspark with 5 aps]] would be still lower than with my rank8 daggers.

I know what you mean. I knew an awesome sage sin with r9 daggers and little to no aps that pulled aggro from run off the mill 5.0 sins constantly. Ironically enough WC squads lol'd at him for a) having low aps and/or b) being sage. Me? I had my fair share of awesome runs with him.

Then how come another sin with 4 aps with decides can go to that squad, and my 2.5 aps can't, if the other sin makes less damage than me?

No Q.Q, this never happened to me, because when i see someone's asking for 4.00-5.00 aps DD i just don't ask them. But i wonder if i should go buy deicides and scam all players.

And i didn't math this.... but does fist archers / barbs deal the same damage as fist sins? if so, then i have more dps than a fist archer / barb...

Not really. Dagger sins are BY FAR the best dd in the game. Higher base damage on the weapon itself compared to fists/claws, plus it's based off your dex stat instead of str, and you get an incredible amount of crit from being pure dex and not needing any extra points in str.

Using claws would nerf both your damage and char with no benefit whatsoever except for catering to idiots.

But when it comes to claw archers/bms/barbs they're about the same really. Again, there are idiots who claim bms are on top because of fist mastery and like to stroke their epeen loling at everyone else, but they fail to accept the fact that an archer has an extra 20% crit rate compared to them which more than makes up for it. Add a pair of vanities into the equation for the str proc and you have an archer outdpsing any bm lol. Because lets face it, there are no bms out there using vanities for the proc. Quite a few smart archers do.

In a nutshell, suck it up for now and do a few random squads if you don't have any friends to do nirvana with. If you're good, people will add you to their fl. If they don't, try adding them. Eventually you'll have a nice of group of people to farm with.

Personally though, I'd rather take a person I trust than a random likely to scam on the chests regardless of aps.

True. But a few points to consider. First off, THAT sort of squads are few and far between. A lot of average 5aps squads out there yeah, but the kind you mention (as in drop a boss in one spark cycle, two if he's not ampable) are not as common as people make them out to be. La creme de la creme if you will. They're also using +10/12 weapons instead of +5 like 90% of the run off the mill 5aps squads.

And I may be alone here but it's been my experience that when you tag along on those sort of squads they tend to average a canny per run out of what 5 boxes before the last boss? I'm perfectly happy with my archer/bm squads consisting of people I fully trust, even if they take twice as long. A whopping 15 mins instead of 7. *shrug*

Hell, if we got good enough dd I like to take a guildie/friend wiz or something along too

Right. A barbs' devour is better than bramble, 20-30% amp and two myriads, each with a 25% chance of 100% armor break. Cool story bro.

There's a reason why every other nirvana farmer has an alt barb parked outside the entrance.

People who are stupid enough not to take you for having better DPS with slightly lower APS... don't' deserve your ability. That's what Friendslist/Guilds are for. My BEST runs have never come from World Chat. Last night we did 13 Nirvana Runs Back to back in a 4 man squad. 2 Assassins, 1 BM, & my Veno. 10-12 minute runs. It was amazingly fun. The Sins were using daggers, and they were amazing.
