Question about Gold and Cash shop items

I have some cash shop items that are on one server that I used to play on. But I have since then moved to another server/ I wanted to transfer my items over to my new server, but I figured that wasn't possible. So I thought that if Gold goes onto the account as opposed to just one server, I could sell my items and buy gold with the money I get. Is this possible? I'm not 100% on how gold works. So... if I were to buy some gold, would it be bound to my account or just that server?

    If you buy gold in game, it is bound to that server.

    If you buy gold via the Purchase Zen page on the PW site, you can send it to any server you have a level 10+ character on.
