Level 6 Crafting and Dawdler's Belts

So, I'm in the process of trying to complete the level 6 crafting quest and so far I have made 22 failed attempts to create a 2* Dawdler's Belt over the past several weeks, flushing 110 Reinforced Leather, 88 Glaze, 88 Colored Glue, 88 High-Grade Lumber, and 22 Broken Cyan Jade down the toilet in the process.

Creating the other two items for this quest only took a few tries. According to http://www.pwdatabase.com/pwi/items/6287 there is a 30% chance of success, which should make the chance of 22 failures in a row fairly low.

So, has anyone out there successfully created a 2* Dawdler's Belt for this quest in the last 3-4 weeks? Am I really that unlucky?

I am, at this point, reluctant to spend too many more resources on this, especially if there's the possiblity of a bug out there.
