CS'ers and PWI and QQ

I just had a few things to say after reading yet again, more QQ posts (about r9)
about me:
No I'm not a heavy cash shopper
No I don't have r9
Yes i wish I had r9
Yes I QQ about this game too
iQQmoarabouteverythingbasicallyidkwhypplplaythisgameifalltheydoisqqbutihavesomefriendsandstuffandtwisfunsoyeahiguessthatswhyiplay
Point of this thread: my perspective on the perspective of cash shoppers topped with some moar qq and/or opinion
Basically, ppl say "QQ <insert anything CS'ers buy here> should b hard to get and u should have to work hard for it n stuff"
Well, who is to say they don't work for it? With a job. not everyone gets money for free.
For all I know, they worked really hard at their job, and don't want or don't have to work really hard in game too. they spend what they made in their job to be pro in game without wasting xyz hours farming. People with money can spend it on simple pleasures like food, movies, or w/e, why not video games?
more things about me:
No I don't necessarily want to partake in such a game (if I can't be one of the CSers)
Yes I think people should work hard in game to earn pr0 gear
No I don't have access to lots of moneyz
Yes I think people with access to lotz of money can be OP (and make the game unbalanced/unfair/not fun for others)
Yes I think it is messed up that people benefit more in-game..........by not even playing.
No I don't necessarily disagree with that idea in all cases, however..
Not every game, of course. Though, maybe PWI is one of those games. Correction - it IS one of those games. people spend thousands of dollars to be competitive with the best players, or to surpass thousands of others in a matter of minutes with the swipe of a credit card. THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS. with that kind of money you could play a pay to play game for decades.
With that said, there are 3 options for non-cash shoppers.
1) be super amazing somehow and get r9 and compete without cash shopping (very few will do this)
2) accept that you will never be the best. find something you DO like in the game. for example, dont play to be the best, play for fun. play to have a good time with friends. or for TW.
3) accept that this game sucks, will never change, never improve one bit (which it wont), and find some other game, preferably a P2P one, and go play that, and spend LESS MONEY despite it being P2P, and experience a MORE BALANCED, constantly UPDATED, looked after game, with FIXED BUGS, and GOOD STUFFZ that require skill and time in game rather than sticking a quarter in ur keyboard for a week to open chip packs (or just buying overpriced GSTs cuz ur too lazy to find a quarter urself)
So, to all QQ'ers (including myself, i guess): YES THE GAME SUX IN MANY WAYS BUT EITHER ACCEPT IT AND FIND SOMETHING GOOD OR QUIT (and thus stop qq'ing). yeah i guess thats it. no qq has brought about change. and no qq will bring about change. all qq does is make more qq. no point in it anymore
since i don't particularly know what people would respond to in this thread i'll pose some questions.
do YOU think it is worth it? spending all that money..is this game worth it? is it even that great? is it better spent in a p2p? and last but not least do you still have ANY hope of a good change in this game and why?

Me? I'm qqing about qqing about qqers. RAGE!!!!!b:angryb:angryb:angryb:angry Nerd Rage! Venus Smash! You won't like me when I"m nerdy!!!! I came here to eat bubble gum and nerd rage, and unfortunately for you I'll all out of bubble gum. Hasta La Vista, Nerd-y. And every other cliche.
No but seriously, I'm tired of all ends of this debate. Yes, I think cash shoppers should have an advantage, you pay my way I"m okay with you getting perks. Yes, the advantage is too big in the case of PWI. When they tried to change it for the better with medals in the dq points, they got busted by the devs so it's not so much PWE as PWCN that is the problem and I've no way to contact them directly, which sucks. But you know what? It's just a video game. When I'm bored of this game and it's no longer fun for me in anyway, I'll quit and move on with my life. I won't make a rage thread about it either. Oh and this game has improved in many ways if you've been here for a long time. It hasn't been all bad. So I'm just going to qoute what I said in the last thread about what's gotten better and worse.VenusArmani - Dreamweaver wrote: »I've been here since AoS. Genies were pretty new. In fact, when I first got them they didn't even gain exp while you were in battle. The magic points determined how many genie skills you could have so it took me a long while to realize what the whole lucky point thing was, but at that time I didn't really use as much. Many players didn't. Bounty Hunter wasn't even around yet, I don't think...if it was I wasn't high enough level to do it so it didn't really matter to me.
What's Gotten Better:
The Genies
BHs helped reduced the amount of grinding it took to anything, made squads more fun
FCC has helped higher level people and people with alts level them faster, making the game more fun
My Gear b:chuckle
We got the dq points system to make up for the money lost with dq items
Auto pathing
Rubber banding
Tab Targetting
Account Stash
Super Fish Quest (Free charm!)
APS (has some good points)
New Classes (see aps)
Improved graphics in the Earthguard/Tideborn areas
Improved looks of EG/TB chars (graphics wise)
What's gotten worse
The Genies
FCC reduced the amount of grinding/questing it took far too much and now you have people who don't know what they are doing
DQ Items
Game has become serious business
Lack of genuinely new players
Customer Service
Community has gotten less helpful
FBs
Meeting new people in world quest locations
Economy
APS (causing a lot of problems too)
New Classes (see aps)
Less customization on new classes
Some of the old, curly hairstyles got taken away.
But to be honest the highlighted answer in red is what I think is the worse change, and there is only the player base to blame for that.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

I share these same views about f2p games like PWI, but I doubt the large majority of the population you are trying to reach will reconsider how they act. I've just adapted to having a mental block list in my head for most of the QQ threads and QQ'ers. Sadly, they will always exist... Oh well... b:sweat[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0

@Hazumi_chan - I suppose you could say that, but my point isn't to spread QQ or spread some false sense of hope that because we have mass QQ anything will change. But rather it's to make people realize the facts, and either quit or accept them.
@_Skai_ and Boogiepanda - tl;dr version: basically, cash shoppers r OP so ppl need to accept it and find a new game that isn't so expensive to compete, and give up hope that this game will improve. OR enjoy the few good things in this game rather than qq about the bad
@VenusArmani - I could argue a lot of those changes *aren't good* such as TB is OP, dq points system did work for a bit then they killed it when they realized we liked it,but yes I agree that tab targeting and auto pathing are good. okay so yeah those are a few good things - that happened like way long ago. the bad things and screwed up things now won't get fixed though, such as qq sins are op etc etc. people should stop hoping qq will make a change and just accept these faults as they are - and either decide if pwi is worth it or not and if not go play a different game. i accept that things change and dont see some changes as good or bad (fc) and adapt to it.
@Blaydewind - yeah probably not but still wanted to post it. if a few people take something from it then i think it is worth it0 -
I shall QQ about your QQing about others QQ. >;o Beat that good sir.Ahira is a spyb:cryb:cryb:cry0

The QQ:
Contrary to popular belief, QQ is not a set of crying eyes. It actually originated with the advent of ''Wcraft II''. On battlenet, you could press ALT+Q+Q to immediately exit the match and program. Thus the term "QQ" was to tell people to just quit because they are unskilled. The term later developed and lost it's origin and is usually mistaken as crying eyes.
In contemporary gamer culture, QQ has become the mainstream emoticon for crying eyes, though it is still often used in it's traditional sense.
"Shut up or QQ!"
"Why don't you QQ, noob?"

The problem is, most P2P games do not allow you to buy in game currency with real life money, and if you choose to do so you risk being banned. F2P are more appealing to people who have lots of money but little time to spend ingame. They will generally prefer to spend their game time doing things they find enjoyable, as opposed to farming for money/better gear. For them, it is better to let their RL cash take care of what they consider to be the tedious parts of the game.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -
lk;naldknoanwelfan/dlk;a really thats all that needs to said about this post.0

its funny..i kno several ppl that play big p2p mmos, and they QQ just as much as the ppl here bout how the game sucks and how it was so muuuch better before. but whatever..
also if i had been playin a p2p now, i would not been able to play for several months now lol (most likely ended up paying more than i have now too), i only charge if i want to and that keeps this game cheaper than p2p for me, coins is easy to make ingame if you take your time and think alittle as im sure you all kno by now.
that is why i play f2p games and not p2p.
oh and hi btw.0 -
You know...I don't care how much other people spend on this game. I really don't.
What I do mind is the fact PWE seems hellbent on MAKING me care. And while I can ignore the red spam, the bonus mounts for charging zhen, the ridiculous levels of bull@#$% being shoveled down our throats and called 'explanations' by our GMs, etc etc for the most part...even I have moments where I can't help but take notice. And it's those random, sporadic instants where my give-a-damn decides to boot itself up for a moment or two that it really REALLY pisses me off.Censorship is the bane of creativity. ya know, I can totally understand that... Sometimes it gets hard to let some thigns go because "its only a game"... Games tend to be overlooked as a method of societal influence; and vice versa - the societal influence over games. Remember this; A lot of what you do in-game is an indirect reflection of your personal RL character.
Some people are just more prone to fits of complaining. Some people just arent happy unless they have something to complain about. And those are the people that drag others down with them, and should be warned and if not corrected, temporarily banned for creating a nuisance.0 -
I understand this game is a business and all, but...cash shop has just gotten way too powerful. Think about it:
-Rep sale has made tabs obsolete
-Rep sale has made numerous farming instances obsolete
-Hypers pretty much made any content under lvl 100 not worth while
- APS has made proper squads obsolete
- Sins have made PK obsolete
I mean really now...whats left of the actual game? xD0 -

What left? Cashshoppers and their credit cards. The all game is now just about race in spending.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

You can't really argue that the TB are totally good or totally bad and if you read my whole post you would see that I listed them in both the positive and negative changes. Yeah, sins are OP but they have also made somethings easier and people enjoy playing them. And any class, not just psychics, can be super powerful if they heavily refine the best gear in the game. That is a bs reason to QQ in my personal opinion. Do you see psychics soloing everything in the game? No. Chances are the put in a lot of work (in game or irl) to get that gear, it's not something they can just solo a bunch of fcs and sell to get or do nirvy runs, etc to finance that gear. As for sins, yes they are very OP. But they just need to be tweaked, they have a lot of positives as well and if they were just tweaked for balance their wouldn't be anything especially terrible about them.
As for DQ points, just because one item was removed doesn't mean the entire dq system no longer has merit. It is a positive change to counter balance the fact that we were unfairly nerfed because of the illegal practices of some players in China. There is still free cash shop items in there have saved many people lots of money, that isn't negative. Just because it doesn't benefit you doesn't make it a bad change.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
