Okay,it seems like no matter what, no one can be pro someone is always their to down them, so I want to know what do you think makes a class pro, I mean all the time you hear things like.
"Rofl, (Name here) doesn't know how to play their class, neither does half of the pwi players!"
Or.
"R9's and 5aps do not know their class all they knew is click Pew Pew or Click Auto-attack,attack,attack,dead."
OR!
"99.9 percent of Assassins don't know how to play their class, which is why they rolled a Assassin in the first place."

So, what does make a player pro? State the class and give an example how why you think their not pro and give an example on how the be pro.

Random opinion:A R9 could be very good at their class..Why do people say they suck when they click you and one shot you?Do you want them to Holy path around you, expel, Ironguard, use a channeling pot/Int pot use a genie skill take of their weapon, debuff you,put back on their weapon and hit you to how big of a number they can hit on you? That'd just be a waste of chi and pots..(If they got killed by someone wearing TT99 armor then I could understand though.
Anyways, discuss!

I think you misunderstand the r9 debate on being pro-

R9 just dont "make" you pro. Anyone can achieve r9 and one shot lower geared people.

What makes someone pro imo is the ability to anticipate a opponent, like what skill are they gonna use or what they are gonna use next. Then countering it with proper useage of pots, apocs, genies, or skills.

Why ask to discuss on the forums when most people here are jaded and will simply reply that CS makes someone pro?

Fuzzy for one doesn't believe this, but the nature of the forums suggest the next 100 posts will be about how PWI is broken and the only way to win is with money.

The panda's opinion... work for some good gear, get in a pk kill here and there, but above all, if you want to be pro learn what your class can do. Learn apoth. Learn how to farm the instances most people ignore. And above all, help others selflessly.

Too many players these days are all about what they want, what they can/can't get, what others can get that puts em above others, but that is hardly the point.

Work for your own goals, help others to achieve theirs along the way, push the envelope for your own class/gear and forget about the negativity.

Pro is someone who can achieve their own goals, has some self respect, and has the respect of others for helping where it doesn't help themselves.

Being very very good at your class while also being good enough at manipulationg the games income systems (farming, merchanting, prostitution) to maintain competitive gear.

a pro r9? would be someone that spent more time wanting to fight other pro r9s. And seeks out actual balanced PvP experiences.

A fail r9? are the ones that have r9 that will totally disapear when another r9 of equal gears enters the scene. And would rather be able to one shot everything with no need to practice defensive skills.

I see more of the fails on BOTH servers I play on, then I do of the pros.

What makes someone Pro is that they dont need to tell anyone about themselves, and people still know

If you are pro, your skill will speak for itself. If you fail, no words will help.
How come, if someone asks a question in a forum, at least 13/20 posts answers the question in the same exact way, 5/20 word the exact same answer differently and 2/20 say something completely unrelated to both life and death?

Indeed, if people tell you you are pro, tehn you is pro. If you tell people you are pro, then you are not pro.

what makes you pro is being willing to help out lower levels without expecing anything in return when your a higher level and also knowing how to play your class.

Everything has its beginnings, but it doesn't start at one. It starts long before that... The world is born From zero. The moment zero becomes one is the moment the world springs to life. One becomes 2. 2 becomes 10. 10 becomes 100. taking it all back to one solves nothing. so long as zero remains... One.. Will eventually grow to 100 again.

To me, what makes someone pr0 is the ability to keep surviving in an extended fight without falling apart completely.

Plenty of wizards for example can survive long enough to get one of their ultimates off. Very few can survive long afterwards, should their opponent survive. Or a Psy that continues to survive once Psy will is off, long enough so that Psy will comes back off cooldown.

It takes a good player to realize the best way to attack the opponent, but it takes an amazing player to be able to think on their feet and manage to keep going once that first attack fails.

^ Agree with that. Although I do dislike people who cash shop to 105 and call themselves pro when they can't play their class. If you cash shop and can play then I'm not talking to you. =P

You know your pro when you are involved in a gang bang attack and succeed and even get QQ rage from the person who got banged. For example BaMBii got gang banged while requesting a 1v1 with tightend which she new she could not win anyway, and QQed :D.

Damn couldn't have said it better lol. Just like in TW, everyone thinks "oh hey that guy is rank 9 and unkillable s/he MUST be pro!" buzz wrong. Granted, you have some skilled players who farmed their Rank 9 (Ruvil, SuiRyuJin, and StormDragoon comes to mind). When ever I get killed by a rank 9 i don't even care anymore lol However, I do like the challenge a rank 9 brings to the plate. My gear is perhaps the worse among 100+ archers, but after a few TWs and some pking, I learned they're not unkillable; it's simple the fact that they can kill you faster. The misconception that rank 9 weapon = auto win is horrible. A rank 8 +5 bow can still kill a +10/12 JosD rank 9 player (except maybe a barb and/or bm). At least in my experience. People should stop worrying about what they can't do, thus throwing in the towel before the fight began. Hell ask anyone that watches me pvp/tw, I'll attack anyone xD

@ OP: Pro in my eyes means beating the odds when it's against you and coming out on top. Ever seen a person survive things most other people die at? Or ever wonder "wtf that person just killed that whole squad". Skilled players is rather a subjective idea, so why care? I guess it does make you feel better esp if you're undergeared but don't let it stress you out. Yes I would like to be seen as a skilled player because I really feel that I'm far behind everyone else on my server, but I'm enjoying my ride in improving. Hopefully you won't take this post negatively. Do what you know best, and make the non-believers believe. Work on your skills/timing/gear/etc and roll whoever calls you fail lol Just don't get c0cky about it though xD

I've had this conversation with my boyfriend a few times.

You can certainly buy yourself OPness, but when it comes down to it, you can't buy yourself skill.

Not knowing how to protect yourself against an equally geared player because you FC'd to 101 and then bought R9 must be embarassing...
