So i have seen about 2 threads about these so far and i guess you can say its my time to QQ. i just wanna say these fairy boxes are straight up BS. Im not a cash shopper and dont have anywhere near r8+12 or any of that **** soloing TT was my way of evening the playing field for me, i get 2 days off of work a week and on those day i like to spend alil coin to make me some ultimate subs and spend the day soloing tt's. today i made me enough subs to run 10 TTs(normally making a decent 2-3m for my mats and only spend about 1m) after doing my 10 runs i walked away with 500k in mats and about 70 of these stupid boxes only able to open 6(yay 36stupid mirages) this is **** man i didnt even make enough money for what i spent to make the subs so basically all i did was waste a whole day of my life, now come on guys i understand yall dont want ppl like me(soloers) to flood the market with mirages so just take the damn things away. go back to having the bosses drop 1-3mirages id be happy with that cuz damn this is just BS

    can't make money doing TT runs anymore and not enough mats drop to do it for farming.

    OK, let me get this straight. You say that you get two days off a week that you like to farm TT on, leaving 5 days that you're not. For one farming day, instead of getting 70 mirages, you got 70 Fairy boxes (I believe they are a direct replacement). Lets say you do the same thing on your 2nd day off.

    The old way you would have had about 140 Mirages in a week.

    The new way, provided you open 6 per day, will give you 252 Mirages in a week, plus you'd still have 98 Fairy Boxes left over.



    I fail to see how you are getting screwed over.

    becuz now after my 2 days of farming my tts instead of having my 5-7m to run around and go spend upgrading gears/skills/etc i have to wait basically amonth to get all the money i would have gotten in the 1-2day see now by the time my next day come i still will have boxes left unopen and be collecting more, and seeing as the money i spent to supply my subs is now gone(not enough coins to buy more) now my 2nd day off im left sitting here with not enough coins to solo TT again and only 36mirages

    and like i said before im not saying that the game should let us open every single box everyday, cuz yes i understand what that would do to the mirage market, but just take the boxes away and go back to how it was before i didnt mind doing a few runs for 40mirages that still more then the 36limit lol

    point is im havin to wait a whole week to get my profits for 1day example being i see a weapon or somethin in AH i have all the mirages to sell and buy the weapon and yay its mine now with this new system i can only sell a % of my profits every day so im stuck watching the weapon leave the AH and me being stuck looking for another one just becuz i cant make all my money in 1 day

    no i understand yall point about in the long run i have more money but the point im gettin at is the LONG run i have enough boxes for 2weeks to open and i got em all from 1 day of farming, so basically im being told that i work all day soloing tt and to be able to get a slight % of my profits, like i said im not a cash shopper so i dont have billions of coins so when i spend all my free time farming for my upgrades i like to be able to see my 100% profit that day not have to wait 2weeks to see all my profit from just 1 day, cuz eventually say i keep these boxes like i said before by the time my next farming day shows up ill still have unopened boxes so they just keep stacking and stacking and stacking till ive got 1000s of them and there will be no possible way for me to open em all and that will all just be profit i will never see so once again my time wasted

    you can always bring a mule along with you and get the boxes on that character then you can open 12 boxes a day. and depending on how many accounts you have... you can easily get all the boxes opened b:bye

    see i thought about that also problem is i use my sin so i am able to stealth thru the tts stra8 to the bosses, so the mule idea wont wrk unless i spend the extra time clearing the way and honestly i made the sin so i didnt have to clear the way lol

    -.-; honestly if you cant be assed to kill a few mobs to get to the boss then you really have no right to complain about not being able to get all the money from your runs at one time.

    It's not just that the Mule has to be 70, and yeah you can Plevel if you don't already have a 70+ alt but that defeats the entire object of making money. I'm just putting that in there as having an alt pick them up isn't really a solution, I personally like the boxes.

    ya why would i make another 7x sin when i spent so much time gettin1 to 90 already and i shouldnt have to create a thousand different account to be able to get all my profit from wrking all day on it

    You've reached an obstacle. Find a way around it or ****. Things don't always go smooth and easy. Kill a few mobs and boom problem solved. If you're too lazy to do that then you have no room to cry about this.

    Edit: If you're so impatient, then go ahead and make an alt. Other than that nobody really cares that you have to wait a couple of days to make even more profit than you would have.

    so now you can spend the next 13 days finding something else that's fun and profitable to do, and still get the same income.

    reliable ways for making lots of coin almost always work in the long run only. short-run ways of making money tend to be situational and fleeting at best. this one fleeted... but got replaced by another, long-term, method.

    It seems (if I am understanding this mass of un-punctuated stuff above) that you are simply complaining about a few runs with crappy drops. As far as I know, the fairy boxes are a 1:1 replacement for mirgaes; meaning, on average, you will get six times as many mirages and the same amount of regular materials as before.
    It is entirely possible to run 10 TTs and only get 500k in regular mats, but also highly unlikely (unless perhaps you are soloing 1-1, in which case, spend a couple weekends leveling instead of farming and do a more profitable run). You may also look into finding a cleric or mystic to duo a higher TT with, debuffs and heals can make more profitable things possible.
    Whatever you do, stop complaining about making more money. If you used to kill 4 TT bosses 20 times in one weekend, that dropped an average of 2 mirages each, that's 80 mirages in 2 days (average). Six fairy boxes a day is 72 mirages in two days, but then 180 more throughout the week.

    (I don't know why I even took time to respond to this, maybe I am just tired of people complaining when pwi actually does something good for the game, or perhaps the abysmal state of modern education just made me want to reach through the computer and slap someone.)

    I do solo mode 2-1's on my mystic. I dunno if I can go higher just yet, but Feng's Black Armor sells fairly well on DW, so it's okay. I usually get 6 fairy boxes in one run. 36 mirages a day assuming that I do them every day, and a couple of green mats. The other day, I made a **** ton off my mirages. Seeing as I started out with nothing, even the 700+k that I get for the run is fine by me.

    I'm not a cash shopper either (not for a while anyways), so I'll take what I can get, and these damn boxes are a godsend.

    If you're gonna complain about that, there's not hope for you.

    Patience is a virtue... and is the problem here.

    If you can wait long enough you will get a lot more money at least from the original math I did when I first read your post.

    It's basically why everyone wants 5.0 apsers in squad to ensure they make as much money as possible, and get the best gear possible, as fast as possible, then go on to another class/another instance to show off, or whatever else they do it for. =x

    Patience has no room in this game for many. D: That is in part of why there is so many alt fc squads around now days, and perhaps why people will slow down on soloing TTs, and even doing squad runs. Though obviously I could be wrong, and some people are indeed still patient enough to do runs like this... but they are few, far and in between.

    Okay, so I've been out of the game for a few weeks and just stumbled on this thread today and had to ask a friend "What are these fairy boxes I see people talking about?" I had no idea lol

    Personally, I think this is a great idea, much more profitable in mirages than TT was before. So, to the OP, I say why can't you create an alt, any alt, and drag it along to pick up with you? Set the squad to free so you can split the box pick-ups accordingly, and now you can open 12 boxes a day instead of only 6.

    Oh, wait, QQ, you made a sin so you can stealth past mobs right to bosses? Sorry about your luck, guess you'll just have to learn how to actually work for your profit instead of taking the easy way. Hell, roll another sin and only do it's culti enough to up it's stealth level enough to drag it along in stealth. Don't like that idea? Learn to play with others like the rest of us had to in the old days. PWI IS a social networking game, after all...

    Your logic makes no sense to me. You say you would rather have 40 regular mirages drop than multiple fairy boxes, which give at least 36 per day, and you say this is because you are losing out on millions of immediate profit. How is 5 mirages millions (or ten, since you farm for two days)? Rather, log in a minute or two on your working days to quickly open 6 boxes and by the time next weekend comes around you have made a lot more money than you would have in the past.

    I love the fairy boxes. It makes the solo TTs worth running again; I make enough when no mats drop that it is well worth it. And so what if they stack up in my inventory? It just means I take a day or two off from TT to open them. I'm still making far more money than I did in the past.

    ok every1 i have sat and read and took your opinions into consideration and maybe yall are all right and i was jsut in a qq rampage lol, in the long run i do make alot more money its just having to be patient for it, so i will sit and let boxes stack up and open them everyday and finally at the end of week i will have a good few million, ty every1 for feedback and opinions yall made this alot more clear to me

    I get 5 US: 180k coin spended
    I farm 5 tt1-1 solo mode and get 6 boxes + mats
    I sell the mirages at 13.5k: 486k gain
    Total profit:
    308k+the tt mats

    Simple Math works to me....

    As was said above, patience is a virtue. This is a GAME, not a JOB, you should be playing it for FUN, not making it into WORK, and by lazily wanting to rush through everything and get immediate fast results, you are turning a FUN GAME into a JOB of WORK.
    Just relax and enjoy the fact that you are getting 6 times the mirages. And it takes what, five minutes to log in each day and open the boxes?

    Think about it, you said you work five days a week, if you can't do TT runs those days, you at least now can open boxes those days.

    I have to agree.

    I love those boxes, even with the limit on them. I don't concentrate all day playing my BM so usually do 2 TT runs/day on him. I think I never had a box left behind not opened so far.

    I try to refrain from cash-shopping the most I can. Makes it so, I still can't get a Nirvana squad (just 2.5 aps sparked) , to me 1 hour a day for 2 TT runs to get a quick easy 500k off mirages I sell back around 14k each is just perfect. Not counting any mats I could also get.
    Proud supporter of the new expansion. Sure it has it's share of bugs, like any games. But for a pure farmer/grinder, that's a whole lot of new mobs to go beat up b:chuckle

    I love those boxes!

    Doing 5 runs usually get me 4 to 6 boxes. That's 24 to 36 mirages. More than cover the costs of subs with extra plus mats.

    I don't see that's a bad thing.

    I didn't care for the boxes at first, but now i'll admit i love them. I ended up getting a ton of them the first few days after they were put into the game, and i'm still opening them. Its nice doing TT for a day or two and getting 36 mirages a day for many many days to follow. I have 248 boxes to go, so maybe i'll do more TT in a month or sob:chuckle
