Haven't noticed a problem with Seekers. They're casting long, hard-hitting skills instead of short ones like other melee'ers, and they really don't need to hit a Psy THAT hard, so all they do is waste time. They're easy to stun, then you're free to just shoot away.
Mystics can be tricky, though they're very versatile so there's not really one strategy that fits every fight. That's a class to read up on.I AGOREY0 -

Psychic Will to keep from taking damage from their Summon While you Pelt them with casts?
Get as close to them as possible in hopes both they and their Summon are in ranged of your AoEs (which make up a good portion of our skills). Its not like you have to worry about the -Mystics- melee damage.
If you've bothered leveling Disturb Soul maybe keep that curse on them. It might give you time to recognize their summoning skills (Spirit & Plant) and interrupt them. Maybe Diminished Vigor as well.
Suggestion *shrugs* not sure how effective they would actually be.Finding Solutions to many of your problems starts by looking in the mirror and accepting a small measure of responsibility0 -
I was dueling a Seeker, and when I tried, I was 5-0, and every duel was started at close range.
Mystics seem weak as well, although I haven't fought them too much. Most dangerous part is probably the Demon's Skull Slap, which stuns you long enough for the Mystic to kill, generally.0 -

Seekers are pretty easy, I generally use SoS to start the fights vs them, because the only stun they have is telestun, and that wont trigger SoR. SoS will outlast their telestun with their next hit, so after it triggers, I just toss up psychic will, and either soulburn them or just smack them around a bit with normal spam skills, either way they die fast.
Mystics are harder. They have quite a few very nice silence/stun skills, and so theres not exactly any one strategy that I've found to work the best. Probably my highest success rate though is using psychic will just before the duel starts, to get rid of pet damage, and immediately using earth vector to stun the mystic. If I'm able to get off earth vector before they do any interrupts, etc, then they almost always die in 1 or 2 more hits. If they do their sleep/silence (not sure what it is atm, but it screws me up) then it gets a lot tougher, and I generally have to resort to trying to knockback the pet with landslide to get some breathing space, and sparkbursting to try and take down the mystic asap before they can do any more damage.0 -
yeah for seekersat higher lvls its actually tuff to say. i was told there magic dd moves hit through our psychic will and gemini is pretty much strong enough to 1 shot us with ez. besides any seeker who knows what hes doing woul use blade affinity first to cut down channeling time(up to 80%)'dont get me wronge i loves psys but the main reason we fight well is cuz person fer person we have more pros then just about any class0

Mystics have 1 skill that is OP. Absorb soul. Just don't let them get that off on you and you're good. As for seekers. . . they're a dph HA class. Go wild.0

Just want to say...Never start dueling a melee based class at close range. Start the duel, run away. Yes they have distance attacks, but the general rule is to put as much distance between you then earth vector. Psy will/retaliation on ofc. That way dmg is resisted blah blah blah. common knowledge there lol.
As for mystics, those guys give me trouble. The one pet i have issues with is that first little annoying demon w/e its called. Smart mystics will have them sit away from them that way your stuns dont hit both at once. The mystics i can beat easily are the ones that sit their pets on top of them. AoE stun, then use a few more AoE's and they're down. My best advice would be to psy will and use retaliation to kill the dmg the pet does, throw soulburn on the mystic so the heals kill their hp, then nuke them.
Not always going to work, but hey, its a start.
Quick edit: i read something a few posts up saying that the telestun doesnt trigger SoR...I havent had a seeker use that on me yet. I figure thats due to people still learning the class, but still.0 -
As long as the skill doesn't do damage, your soul skills will not take effect. As for mystics . . . I'd say do what you normally do against venos. Stun the mystic, KB the pet with landslide and kill it (should die fast), and don't forget mystics have increased water defenses with their barrier.0

Ppl, i dont think you guys know the potential of a high level seeker. If a seeker knows wat he's doing, he will pwn any psychics' butt except for rank 9 psychics ofc lol..
i have been pking since lvl 90 and i've always killed psychics my lvl and equal to my level of gear..be it rank 8 or nirvana..
and soulburn on a seeker? r u serious? lol...we can just reflect ur soulburn back to u xD
no offense to psychics in a psychic forum, but both seekers and psychics are beast if used correctly.. and honestly, when earthguards get rank 9, seekers will be as good as psychics due to huge amount of defense levels and the ability to tank any melee hitters, be it 5 aps or w/e0 -
What So_Sick said... And please don't mistake all the fail seekers that are apparently walking around because seriously? Slow casting skills? If the seeker is using gemini without blade affinity then he should really consider re-rolling....0

In their defense, Seekers can wreak havoc if you don't keep a lid on them. Though psychic will kinda just throws everything out the window for seekers for 8 seconds. Yeah, you can still use metal skills, but a crit metal attack will feel like an average magic attack to a psy. And the lack of too many anti-stuns really hurts them. Technically they can QPQ the freezes and slows, but unless they have sage unfetter/BA, Earth vector generally wrecks them.
And for mystics, the Chihyu's skull slap does damage, so SoR it to take it out of comission for 5 seconds. They can also be pretty bothersome if they have Salvation's buffs on, but soulburn goes through that. And you definitely need to watch out for Absorb Soul like Fizban said. It ignores defense levels, SoR, and even Psychic Will. b:shocked[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

When and if they hit psychic will on us, we can just tele stun em or just use fortify lvl 1(genie skill) + quid pro + extreme poison + ion spike + heartseeker + battousai..tht will keep em busy for 8 secs..n as soon as its over, tele stun em vortex or blade affinity + tangling mire + gemini slash..
what i m saying is there's numerous ways to counter any skill tht psychics use against us...well the experienced seekers know wat to do xD0 -

Yeah, he does. Let me explain his combo:
Fortify level 1 : 3+ seconds of stun immunity, but has a 95% chance to lower your magic defenses
Quid Pro Quo: Sends your debuffs to the target (in this case, lowered magic defenses)
Extreme Poison: Basic 20% amp
Ion Spike: Strong metal damage skill (not physical) that reduces metal defense
Heart Seeker + Battousai: Metal damage skills being used on a Psychic with lowered magic defenses, even lower metal defenses, and 20% amp.
While I've never seen this combo in action, I'd imagine it would put a nice dent in our HP if they're allowed to get it all out, especially if the psy is in black voodoo (which most psys tend to switch to when they use Psychic Will).
Though unless they have a genie with absurd dex, a psychic could probably get an Earth Vector out around the time of the Ion Spike unless they include a sage Unfetter in there after the Fortify buff.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

My mistake lol, I got thrown off by the, "if they hit psychic will on us", and I had also forgotten about fortify's chance to mag debuff so I was a bit confused on why use quid, but it all makes sense now and is a pretty good strategy
But what if the psy notices the antistun effect or the animation of fortify? And decide to stay in white voodoo, and then sage bubble after quid? Then soulburn > switch to black > soul of stunning(unless ofc someone was dumb enough to keep attacking with soulburn, had the hp for it lol, or simply didn't notice it)[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0 -

if the psychic is tht good to notice all the skill effects, he deserves to be considered pro and i would have no regret dying by his/her hands...but srsly, no one is tht calm when you're fighting someone..lol u gotta think fast, react fast at pk and TW...as soon as he pops black voodo(thts if we dont have soulburn on us), we stun em and our vortex will def do a number on em0 -
Well fortify might be hard to catch but the animation is slightly flashy but the icon isn't the same as regular anti stun and the only thing other than that that has to be noticed is quid which is pretty distinct. But if I'm planning to vector I always look at buffs.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0

Ok let me make one thing clear right now. The major difference between a psychic and a seeker is this. If I am a +12 r9 seeker I can 3 spark ninja a psychic in PK, but oh wait Soul Reta 50% damage reduction so no 1 shot there >_>. Now unlike a +12 r9 psychic 3 spark 100 skill will one shot the seeker(ninja) due to 0 kind of temporary protection.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]I know what your thinking.0

You cant really predict how seekers r gonna be against psychics when they dont have rank 9 yet.. its like saying sins weakest class in game till someone reached 5 aps n started dominating both pve and pvp.. n then ppl started fearing sins..same with psychics..only with end game gears, they knew psychics were powerful....same goes for seekers..u cant say a rank 9 seeker is weak against a rank 9 psychic or a wizard..we gotta wait n see what the fate await us.0

Yeah, I think seekers will be one of the more feared classes with full r9. Either feared or just to the point where you don't wanna mess with them. Might even be more annoying to kill than barbs. But for their sake I hope that r9 swords hits hard on equal geared opponents xD[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]0

Yes you can. It's blatantly obvious that Psychic's are supposed to be the Achilles Heel of Seekers. BMs have trouble with venos, clerics and barbs have trouble with BMs, Psys have trouble with clerics, and sins and Seekers have trouble with Psys. Nothing could possibly change that as things stand now, even if their r9 weapon could purge.I AGOREY0 -
