Hypers not so hyper?

Ok, so I want to level my cleric fast and he's currently at 97, ultimate goal is 99 right now. I do a regular FCC run, Level spread was a little wonky (11 or 12 I believe), but I got around 6.4% exp without using hypers on a run that stopped right after we cleared the head room.
So, I figure I'll get hypers, load x12, do a few runs and level really fast right?
Wrong.
I'm trying to figure out where my math is **** up here, so I'll lay out the situation...
Squad:
3 level 101's
2 Level 97's (My Cleric is one)
1 Level 95
The 101 Wiz is like some kind of uber, he solos through the first boss before I even get in the instance. Myself and the rest of the squad manage to catch up to him just as he's leaving the first boss room, we buff and continue.
Right after we finish the second boss I remember that I have hypers and activate x12.
We finish the run to the final boss in 32 minutes, (well, I have 28 minutes left on hypers anyway), and I look at my exp and notice that I've gained a whopping 14%.
WTFb:irritatedb:puzzledb:angry
Now I'm trying to figure out why I got 6% with a squad that had a wider spread than what is considered ideal, and why on a narrow spread with x12 I only get slightly double that.
I'm not too much of a noob at maths to know that 12x on 6% (actual comes to like 11x6 I believe, or 10.5 i forget) does not = %
Can anyone shed some light on this? Or did I just get screwed by PW again?

Take the time to look for your answer before you post like an idiot.

Most of your squad was above level 95, that's why. When you are 95+, the mobs are dark green name so you get less exp. OR is it 100+, I can't be arsed to remember the exact level range of all the mobs there. I just know you should run with 85-95, and then after that 95-100+. And stick hard core to that. http://pwi-wiki.perfectworld.com/index.php/Experience_Points[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Also running FC with people over 100 (Or is it 99 I forget now) will nerf you regardless of the lvl cap (10 levels)02/07/2011 - Lost paitence with PWI sold all my gear bought packs and wasted my coin till it was gone... goodbye PWI b:bye0

I noticed this issue yesterday. Me and two squad mates(81 cleric, 85 Barb) did FC up to the first boss (We been doing that for a little extra exp each day) and I hypered the boss 12x. Now, I get 1% from roughly 75K-ish exp, and hypered at 12x Thunderclaw gives 99900 exp. That should be over 1% for me, but instead, I only received 0.7%, and the exp display listed me getting 57K-ish.0

When you are hypered do not go buy what that box says you got, it is wrong. Kinda like when you hyper the last boss and get 1,000 xp and 30,000 spirit. Have to go by % to actually know what you get.0 -
It's 99 or higher that causes significantly less exp, as 99 is 11 lvs above the 88 mobs. As far as the exp in your log from bosses goes, most of the time you can just take the spirit listed and multiply by 5 to get a rough guess of the exp, as the spirit value is displayed correctly in most cases. Note that mobs general do display proper exp/sp, and that bosses will always give full exp. I suggest you do more full frosts if you're going with squads that include 99 or 10x members, as the last four bosses cam add a lot, and dragoons are always a nice boost. Big room is overrated for high levels unless you're spamming 5-10 runs per day.
Also, the first few bosses are garbage that you shouldn't waste hypers on. Personally, the first point I even consider using them is at the pull of mobs before the bishop boss. If I'm doing half runs x2 with a squad that kills bosses quickly, then I'll do, in each run,
That pull + bishop boss
Next pull + runewolf
Messenger of Fear + mobs after tele
Oceania Master
Big pull + heads
If I'm doing one full run, I'll do;
That pull + bishop boss
Next pull + runewolf
Messenger of Fear + mobs after tele
Oceania Master
Big pull + heads
Decaying Fragrance
Nix boss
Dragoons
Holeen
Holeen v2
If the dd isn't good enough to kill bosses that fast, then I'll usually not hyper until the pull before runewolf, and then do him + the mobs before.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
So, I heard HA veno is the way to go?0 -

100-101 about a week, easily.0 -
If you have someone over level 98 it nerfs, in other words 99+ messes with exp... a lot. You get about 30% less exp.
90-98 its 15-16k per head.
90-99 its 10-11k per head.
That's why you got less exp. And I think 101 nerfs it even more actually. Like 10k per head. And that nerf is throughout the entire run, 30-35% less exp for everyone. That's why everyone forms 90-98 FC's. Then there's seperate 100+ fc's for the exp nerfers.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
