My facmates and I have been having high ping (anywhere from 700-7,000) and it just started today. Anyone else having the same problems? My high performance is on, but I'm still lagging w/ 1200+ ping. Help :/

I guess I just don't get how ping can change so much in a day. Thanks for the reasoning though lol

There could be intermittent internet service or throttling occurring regionally between your computer and our servers. Please restart your PC and networking gear and try again later.
Do you need help learning about patching the game, installing it, changing antivirus/firewall settings, changing network settings, learn how to use a computer, keeping your PC maintained and more?

Depending on the route, devices in between, and bandwidth traffic, the ping can change drastically from minute to minute. Like the other day, the router in Colorado got overloaded and the actual ping, (not in-game ping), was up around 1200. (in-game this shows around 4k+ because the in-game ping works with imaginary numbers not real ones.) After about 10-15 minutes it changed the route and I'm going through Euless, TX instead of Colorado and ping dropped back down into the more normal range of 200-400ms.

Again with the in-game ping, the numbers that it shows just aren't real. I'm not sure how they get that, but I think something lags on the server that causes those numbers to increase exponentially. If it's showing a rate of over 2k, in the real world you're dropping packets so bad you aren't connected anymore. Most routers will timeout at 1200 and drop the packet.
