Can only get the Infliction pink genie?

As soon as I talk to the Watcher of the Earth dude, I get the Infliction pink genie (no matter how many characters I make to test it out). It really pisses me off because I thought Zeal was the best genie for a Venomancer. Is this true? If so, is there a way I can manipulate my current genie to make her more magic-friendly? Also, do you have any other tips/advice for me regarding this issue? Thanks.

    Why would Zeal be best? It just pulls, venos can pull with pets. I have the discipline genie, it's the only one I've found useful.

    Why is that? I'm still a noob. Also, is my current genie pretty much useless then? Are you weakened if you pick the "worng" genie?

    If you want that genie, all you need is 3 mirage stones to create one of them.

    Discipline's default skill is to make you fly faster in short bursts. I added Relentless Courage, Holy Path and Second Wind to it. In my opinion, that genie won't do you a lot of good. People just use it to pull but it still has the risk of pulling other mobs around that one. Plus Zeal usually has short range, we can send our pets out farther. So what I would do is just keep two land pets if you're going to do a lot of pulling. Have your "main" pet and then a secondary, send the secondary out, once it hits click on your main pet and the other will automatically stow when your main pops out. Then you don't even have to be at risk of the mob hitting you before you can summon.

    You're not necessarily weakened by having the "wrong" genie, but it's like having a weapon only a tank can use when you're mage. What's the point if it doesn't do you any good? I would suggest reading through from genie guides and threads, figuring out which one sounds most useful to you and then change your current genie to that one like Krisnda said. You should also start researching skills for the genie. You don't want to get anything you won't or can't use, but some of them will be incredibly useful as the genie and you level. I use every skill my genie has on a regular basis.
