Do seekers hit hard?

Hi everyone!

I couldn't choose between a seeker and a sin so I started playing both classes cause I love em. Anyway my sin is lvl 40 and seeker is 29 atm and I noticed kinda that I killed monsters quite a bit faster with my sin(when he was 29) than with my seeker now. My sin also hit harder than my seeker does so I'm wondering if it's supposed to be this way cause I thought seekers would have more dph than a sin while sins obviously have higher dps.
Also that the skills of a seeker would deal more dmg but it doesn't seem that way or am I wrong? Do seekers get better high damaging skills later in game than sins?

I've heard that seekers deal a lot of dmg so that's why I'm wondering cause so far I'm not rly impressed with the dmg.

My sins build is 4 dex and 1 str each lvl while on my seeker ive been doing the 5 str 3 dex and 2 vit build until I capped vit at 30 now I'm going with 7 str and 3 dex build.

Seekers do hit hard in terms of AoEs when fighting a group of mobs. Sins will DD single targets better than any HA class in the game.

Seekers feel pretty weak early in the game, but once you get to endgame with better gear and maybe some sage/demon skills, they can hit unsparked 5 figure damage pretty consistently with each attack skill, but they are still outmatched in damage by sins when it comes to single targets.

If you want to choose between the two, I'd make a decision based on what you want to do endgame. PvE-wise, sins are just generally accepted into farming instances as they are the primary DD and seekers play more of squad support for Bh100s and nirvana, but they are desired for delta over sins most of the time. If you can, develop both b:victory.

Seekers hitting power shines alot in endgame gears, and content. We have -some- good PvE qualities, but for hard hitting action, we are riseing to be kings in mass PvP events.

Ok, ty for your replies =)

I think i will be playing both my seeker and my sin, i like both classes and it adds some variety too.

I have some more questions for my seeker though. For example is the build im doing on him good? As I mentioned earlier I was doing the 5 str 3 dex 2 vit build on my seeker til i capped vit at 30 and now im doing the 7 str and 3 dex build. However i had a hard time deciding whether to go with the high str build or doing 6 str 4 dex build for a little more crit rate at the cost of dmg. But then again, is the 1-2% more crit rate worth the dmg i lose if i choose the later build?

Also, what gear and weapons do u suggest is good for seekers?

In my own personal opinion, No. We with required dex rate for weapon get a decent amount of crit strike % along side endgame gears. Im at around 25% now...and I do crit alot.. So really its a perspective deal.

As far as gears, I personally followed the rank line, However any TT gears are fine, and even a mix. r8 is awesome for seekers, and reliably cheap. If you start saving now on the seeker, there is no reason by the time he hits 100 he couldnt get it... As far as end of endgame gears, I personally wish lunar was more popular b:cry Sage seekers would benefit nice from a full set of lunar... but since TT is a chosen path by many, that is prob your best focus TT-nivana path- provided you don't go r9.

I tested around with a 6 str/ 4 dex per 2 lvl build, capping at 300 str and 200 dex, and I have to say the extra crit rate isn't worth it (I restatted, ofc). Dex should be capped at 160 at the highest because that's all you'll need for gear and should capitalize at the latest crit % breakpoint around that area. I really like the damage seekers can do when you add more STR to the build -- so much that I didn't even add a single point to VIT.

I share the same thoughts about gears as ReMakaBo above except that I'm not a fan of lunar :P. I like rank or TT more b:avoid

Aren't there any dual blade weapons for seekers? I thought those were the best of all sword weapon types.

Hmm, how am I supposed to get like 200000 rep for rank 8? Seems like impossible rly. My bm is 81 as u can see and he has almost 4000 rep only >.< and I don't do cash-shopping ever.

Is it still possible to get enough coins to reach rank 8? If so, how then? I mean whenever u get some coin and spare them u end up spending it on gear, weapons, skills etc.

It is a bit more of a challenge to get the rep (while on sales from catshops it can run 60-80ish mil) when you are relying on your first character. But it is very possible. For most part you need to look into efficient spending when it comes to what you choose to buy while leveling.

TT equipment, while nice to have, isn't always the most efficient gears to purchase. Legendary equipment is cheap, and very efficient in regards to money spent on gears at low levels.

Workig the merchants/ AH, finding high demand products for quick sale prices, turn them around and sale them at market value.

Take advantage of sales events. from the boutique. Just like right now packs have been on sale for many weeks, If you had taken advantage of the sale since day 1 of the sales, went and farmed atleast enough coin to buy 1 pack a day from a cat-shop. When the sale ends you could have had several hundred packs in bank, and nearlly tripple the price when they end (basically at gold value) Just would have had to keep from getting the temptation to open them. But 1 pack a day = what 500k? anyoe could farm that solo.

Just some small examples to think about. Same could be done during -orb sales- -rep sales- and so on...

lol if they dropped the 3 mil a run cost for luner ( wich they obveisly should) it would be farmed like crazy and probably out class most hh armor as far *** seekers go. kinda stupid having to pay to run a cave for gear -.- especially now that only the weapons r used and cave isnt even needed for them.

origenal question yes seekers hit like a frait train im only lvl 60 seeker ( just got double spark) and i already hit 27k without any other squad members helping. so thats without dragons, subsea, veno amp, or any other of those debuffs or buffs. and to be honest the genie i used to hit that isnt that great either XD. this dude had it right. it takes time but once u learn the tools of the trade ur a beast

How do u solo 500k a day? Can u explain? And at what lvl will I be able to do it?

About getting rep, I was thinking of trying to save enough coin to buy rep badges. I know u can get them as a reward from dq points but is it worth it? Cause u need 1000 dq points for one rep badge so isn't it better to sell dq items to players and get rep badges?

If yes, can u tell me if i should sell all of them, both low lvl and high lvl dq items and for what price I should sell each one of them?

Because I need coin to be able to buy rep badges and if I sell dq items to players then I will get decent coin, that is if it sells. In this way I'll be able to buy way more rep badges than if were to get it as reward for dq points.

But I get coin rly slow, and that's why I ask for your advice.
ReMakaBo said that anyone can farm 500k a day but I can't even do that lol. I don't know how, where etc. Maybe it's cause I'm too low lvl but even with my bm I didn't earn that much >.<

    Maybe I can't earn much since I play 3-4 hours a day.

Hmm farming coin and buying packs now why i didn t think of that.b:puzzled Maybe i should abandon getting tt 90 chest and boots. I would of been farming for rank 8 gear right now but sales ending no point.

I need 12.5mil game coin for rank 6. So i decided to farm up coin for the next sale so i can get the ranks.

Try AoE grinding around your level, hell even lv70ish mobs (seaweed thief) are great and drop good, and soon there will be a double drop rate.
You can also Farm TT, get good value materials and turn around and sell it (100+k for a TT60 drum in Raging Tides for example) you get good profits, if (or actually when) they are sold
Try (if you have a good computer) Multiclienting and have one account for Grinding/farming and another for selling

These are just a few things you can try and get 500k a day Minimum, if you really put even MORE effort you can hit the mills in a day (which reminds me I need to do that b:avoid )

honestly, the way to make lots of coin in game doesn't involve farming.

don't get me wrong, i've nothing against farmers --- they're needed in the game economy. but just like farming in real life, it's not a way to get rich quick. merchanting is that.

on this level-71 veno i can grind maybe 100k per hour during normal 1x drops, give or take some, depending on luck. that's not really farming, just grinding mainly for pet XP, so an experienced farmer running Lenie might well do more --- perhaps as much as 150-200k per hour, i can't be sure of the precise numbers. grinding on a same-level seeker would be less profitable, because of the potion costs; i'd level to at least 75 (for the HP/MP token foods) before trying that.

a good catshopper can fairly easily make one to three million coins a day, and most of that time they're AFK while their plate-biting cat makes that money on autopilot. if they want to, they can farm or grind in addition to the merchanting.

grind or farm enough to start merchanting, then do that. grind or farm in addition to merchanting if and as you please. i'm willing to bet you'll make more money from the merchanting, before very long at all.

Those were just the two best of the very few times I tried also. Also, I'm a noob vit build. I put 1 into vit all the way to 100 and the sword is only +6. So, a pure dd with +10-12 may be obnoxious. I'd have loved to have seen that with some buffs, rb and dragons though. b:laugh
