Oh look this thread again. Play them yourself and decide. We can't tell what you like.

played both. the archer is more fun imo. but that depends on ur gamestyle.

sin got most likely no challenge in the entire game. maybe from lvl 20-34 sin becomes a little bit hard to play.
sin in pve is most likely dumb playstyle, spark-> hit hit hit use a chi gaining skill -> mob dead. spark -> hit hit hit chi gaining skill mob dead.

in pvp sin takes no skill. its stealth. double spark stun hit hit hit the other 1 is dead.

well archer in pve is like. hit hit hit -> knockback -> hit hit -> stun -> hit hit hit ... dead somewhere in there the mob is dead.
at lvl 100 it is like hit hit mob is dead.
    but who cares about pve?

in pvp archer is more exciting and tricky than a sin.

so decide which playstyle suits u

Well, sin relies more on dps and are more wanted in squads. Thats in Pve. Yes, they do higher damage.

In pvp, no contest, go to a pk spot and watch everyone else is kill count/red name fodder for sins.

So, if you are a fan of longer, less faceroll-esque PvP battles, sin may not be for you.

That being said I think archer is a more fun and challenging to play, but I may be a little biased :p

Well im not PKer. I like more PvE than PvP so asking who is better for PvE.
How you said.. Sins do better dmg - but sins and archers have the same armors, so almost the same def. Mobs usually dont reach archers so how do sins do it? Also when the y use BP, they must die often. Isnt it?
I think archer for PvE is better

sin has lot of chi, bp, evasion buff
and if they going to fail - they can run to stealth
    Mobs usually dont reach archers
depend on mobs. regual quest mobs - yes... sometimes,
    but instance mobs - no
    especially if mobs are melee

    PVE win goes to assassin
PVP win goes to assassin 1vs1 but killing someone in under few seconds gets boooOOOring
Group PVP goes to Archer, + pvp more interesting, challenging, & funner to play
Both uses same armor so pots are needed for sin in group pvp to tank few hits while you're attacking or you'll fail miserably
Archers can be at long ranged so kiting might be fun or annoying for you

I'll probably lvl an archer & use sin's gear because pvp on sin = too easy

Assassing are for players which love to buzz around like an Tarantula on steroids,
you run around and to your enemy and kill it as fast as possible.

An Archer gets a little more calm on the things, attacking from afar, moving around yes.
But not like an Tarantula on steroids.

Both classes have darn high damage output, the difference is, the Assasin trades it in masses of close hits while the Archer fires slower from afar.

Let's say, you cannot have everything, either have high armour and weak damage output, or have high damage output and be weaker on otehr areas.

Archers are very squshy. I am an Archer and personally would never trade my Archer for
everything else. I am dead in only a few hits. But it's difficult to hit me in the first place without
    being killed by me before.

It's all a matter of playing style. Assasins attack way faster and out of stealth.
The only thing you need to be able to do is to click fast. That said Assasins are one
of the easiest cahracters if it comes to overpower.
They basically are for fun simply, not for planners.

Archers are more challanging, you need to plan how to attack and what spell to use on each mob. But if you master it you will be Very Very dangerous.
Archers are unforgiving characters in handling.
If you cannot handle them the class will appear weakly and useless.

But if you can master being an Archer then you are an force noone want to have as enemy.

That said Archer calsses are nothing for powerlvling ppl which want to kill mindlessly around as fast as possible ad much as possible.

If an assassin is killing someone "in a few seconds" I think that that means that that someone does not have absolute domain on their genie, or is not using it.

Which suggests that if people started using absolute domain, and tranquilizing orbs, and leaving when an assassin showed up (instead of just waiting there, to be killed) that assassins would suddenly lose a lot of PvP viability.

(I doubt that this approach would help someone that was outgeared or outplayed -- for that I think you need enough friends to match the gear investment involved and if you are being outplayed you need to try something different.)

Leaving after getting attacked just means no one will be in the pk zones. Like ever. However if no one ever Pvp'd open world that would definitely make sins lose their pvp viability, so the conclusion is correct.

Yes, like... i was not trying to convince anyone that assassins were fun to play with.

Meh only Rank9 sins kills people in a few seconds. Your average Barrier Thorn NV +10 or R8 weap usually needs way more time against equally geared players, specially since they cant CC Power Dash anymore. Anyone using proper genie + apoc should be able to live for at least 20-30 sec when sin ganked b:chuckle

But sins are of course better in both PvP and PvE than archers. The things that makes archers special (ranged dps and powerful AOE dmg) really doesn't have any practical use outside of TW and PvP-wars on the World Map. Archers are way better than sins if you like to grind, but who the hell kill mobs for exp or coins at 100+. You dont even grind for DQ-points anymore :/ At least Archers are way sexier than fishfaces and more fun to dress up in hot fashion.
