Update for Advanced Sage Mystic Skills (All) Quest

Thought I would follow up to a thread I posted not long ago today (http://pwi-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?t=1106461). There has been some change to what these clips include as I did find out today. Some of the books I got before last week's patch from Advance Mystical pages no longer come from the Mystical Librarian for some reason. According to PWdatabase, the pack should include these: http://www.pwdatabase.com/pwi/quest/24303

I was lucky enough to get Cragglord and Thicket from bookclips before last patch, and now that they're not included from this I'm not sure where you can get them... but what I can show you is the updated listing. I turned in 180 Advanced Mystical Pages and got these books:

Salvation for example, is a level 92 skill that should come from using different pages (not sure which). I'm not really sure what PWE's been doing lol.

More or less this is just a forewarning if you decide to get these and were hoping for different books. I did it primarily for Resurrect, so it didn't affect me.

    Take a look at Nature Forge: Skills. The skills that were previously AMP are now Page of Fate and vice versa in line with the skill distribution of other classes (ultis from pages of fate and 92/99 skills from AMP). Sadly I acted too slow to get my ultis from AMPs before it was changed, but it is still possible to get them, albeit more expensive given the prices of pages of fate atm.

    For the record, normal spread, which mystics now adhere to as well, is
    Mysterious Pages - 89 skills
    Old Book Pages - 89/92 skills, usually a few only obtainable this way (for mystic, mastery, shell, and comforting mist)
    Advanced Mystical Pages - 92 and 99 skills, but no ultis
    Pages of Fate - 99 skills, including ultis

    I too was lucky to get Thicket and Cragglord (I got Craggy twice) before this change. I was actually gonna try for Res using AMP, but held off due to a certain rank sale (and the fact that I'm only level 87, lol), but now I can probably aim for Sally and Falling Petals as well (although Falling Petals isn't on top of my priority list just yet).

    I'm a bit annoyed that Verdant Shell and the mastery is only from OBP, because that's a 12 mil minimum I have to fork over for those damn things. *sigh*

    Mastery will probably be released via the bidding hall eventually, if that's any consolation. The bidding hall ticket for it is on PWdatabase, though I've yet to see it come up on the bidding hall on LC. But even so, yeah, it's quite frustrating... Idiots over here on LC are trying to get 400-500k per page atm. >.>; People really need to gv more....

    Ah I was wondering about that. I really hope it shows up in there. Though I'm not sure it'd be worth it depending on how much gold is when it's finally implimented. lol. -.-

    Anyway, thanks for the comments! I'll have to check out the other forges (still sorta new to making skill books lol).


    So was Cragg and Thicket supposed to come from a different source then? Or is it possibly a mix up? o.o Would be nice to know if it ever reverts back to what it was.

    I believe putting them in advanced mystical was an error, yes. The set in them and the set for pages of fate would normally have been reversed, and now they have been updated to be so. So sadly I doubt they'll switch it back.

    But if you want to see what I mean, look at those forges, and look at say, veno. Pages of Fate will have Lending Hand (99 skill, non-ulti), Crush Vigor (99 skill, non-ulti), Consume Spirit (99, non-ulti), Malefic Crush (99 skill, 2 spark ulti), and Parasitic Nova (99 skill, 2 spark ulti). The Advanced Mystical veno skills have the 3 non-ulti 99 skills as well as most of the 92 skills.

    Well, hopefully it won't go too high once it starts coming up multiple times. There aren't that many high level mystics, or at least not over here, and I've seen even demon wood mastery (veno) go for 1 gold before, so... I'm hoping that's a viable option. Old book pages suck. <.<;;;

    I kinda thought the books were set up that way to make up for our most desired skills (wood mastery, verdant shell) being in old book pages. none of the original classes have to farm old book pages for their skills, which is fortunate since old book pages are the rarest pages on the server.

    I was able to buy my wood mastery from someone but i have no clue how they managed to get it, my guess it was an FB drop... bought it for 6m a few weeks ago, im actually happy they made the changes lol... i just wish gale force was included, cuz now i can get falling petals salvation and bramble tornado lol

    I would beg to differ. BM Diamond Sutra, Barb Penetrate Armor, Cleric Razor Feathers and Celestial Guardian Seal all come only from old book pages. While we may have the most important skill from them (though demon sutra is like the only 11 skill I lack for my bm, and it's rather good -_-), we are not the only class with this impediment.
