Looking around for some videos to learn from and LC seems to always have the pro pvpers, so who's considered a skilled wizzy that isn't 100% (or close enough lol) gear dependent?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-81Z1iwmmx4 and his other vids. Even tho the "music" sucks, ;p He's pking with under 6k hp and nv first recast +10. And Calvin is either best or second best BM on the server (even tho he has improved gear wise since then).

Bad I know. average refines are +2/3 tt99 belt/pants/sleeves/boots tt90 gold neck the +216 phy res event cape rank 8 top and rank 8 weapon (tt90 top and tt99 gold sword in part of it). have an oht phy res +94x2 helm on with 50/50 pdef/cits and sage SB. was my 3rd day-ish trying out pvp on it xD

Whats your genies dex? Ticking someone, then fow, sutra, genie spark fire combo(D.Pyro,WOF,pyro,D.Pyro) was my favorite to use before i rage quit and restatted ha =x Oh what's your weapon refine? Remember +5 rank 8 > +11 lunar =/
Don't randomly bids when a melee class is close to you and not slept. Try and time your bids with 51-65% you kinda just bids whenever you get the sparks x.x Don't waste genie energy on fortifying a barbs 1 second stun (imo anyways) Don't try and nuke through a barbs turtle. Don't forget ele shell is free chi ^^ It's not on cd very often in your vid(vs non casters) and its insta cast. In the wizzy fight timing the ele shell would make it more useful, you were kinda just hitting it when ever it wasn't on cd in that fight. Get atleast a 3.0 flyer, they arent that expensive. But gfs! I hope a good wizzy can help you though

need to restat my genie: only 39 dex atm and the tt99 sword was +3 and once i hit 100 got the rank 8 sword which for the moment is only +2 lol (got my rank 8 bow to +7 but freakin sword wont refine lol). there were a few times i did 19-21k with BIDS but...forgot...to hit record...fml >.< i started with fortify because i wanted to let him flag before hitting him anymore but knew he'd lead with stun lol i think the best time i shouldve used it was when i wanted to do a sutra combo, which is rather sloppy atm. i probably shouldve canceled GS and try to fow him before he got off invoke. i think now i get that elemental shell = spam while fighting HA/LA but try to time it vs robes. There's more footage of me vs a cleric friend where i tried to time it but i have to get used to it being so brief lol. i tried to shell before his fow-> BT but went a bit too early. and lol i hit the wrong button o.o tried to fow but kept hitting the fly button xD[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

You REALLY need a better flying mount and some sage skills. You might even consider throwing some vit in (like 50ish) being that your hp is so low right now.. stat it out when you can hit at least like 5-6k unbuffed. For sage skills, pyro/gush/sr are all super cheap and useful, and I'd recommend really trying to get BIDS, BT, and distance shrink as well. Eventually you'll want all your sage skills, but just the 6 I mentioned will make a HUGE difference if you can manage to get some/all of those. I'd also recommend finishing your genie, maybe you can look at the genie discussion thread in the wizard forum for some ideas.
As far as gameplay, I think you were using undine a bit much.. I really only use it before an ulti bypass or a sutra combo. It doesn't give chi and doesn't increase your dps by much (if at all while kiting), it's more suited for that extra bit of damage when going for a bypass (or using sutra.. as it will give a pretty significant increase in dps in that case). I think it's also worth pointing out that you don't need to drop to the ground every time you're trying to kite, dropping just out of range or to take a half damage hit and then jumping back on your mount might be a good idea. In your fight against the mage, you would drop all the way to the ground every time he sealed you, and it might have been a better idea to drop for the first hit then get back on your mount before you hit the ground so you can fight him for the ~15 secs his FoW is on cooldown. Perhaps a sutra right after his FoW when he is unable to interrupt you.
I'd really recommend trying to save sleep for an ulti bypass. Kite melee users as best you can and poke them down to as close to 50% as you can then undine -> sleep -> ulti for a bypass. Usually you can draw out or force some genie from them before going for the kill so they won't be able to domain it. Also when you are trying to ulti, if you have sleep on cooldown or something.. you can try to use a no channel pot or perhaps a fow -> fortify (works for ulti bypass or sutra combos) for a better chance at getting it off.
When you get a better mount I'd really recommend staying in the air as much as possible, it really makes kiting much easier. You don't need to worry about sprints/holy path, you can drop for half damage at any time, shrink works particually well in the air because of the accel time on flying mounts.. the list goes on. THATS what ive been looking for lol thanks for the info and uh *hides genie* that was..never lvl 10 <_< >_> *dlvls to 1* fixed xD
Still getting used to wizzy in pvp since im used to 2 years+ of archer lol Silly thing about my server is a fair bit get scared of aerial pvp while i personally hate ground based pvp lol and yea my air kiting skills are kinda bleh atm. think i need to get more altitude actually. went for the BT because didnt know how well id be able to pull off sutra + thinking he'd drop once i got my first 1 or 2 shots off >.< BT seemed like id have a better chance of finishing him off at the time.

To me, Wadzio is one of the best wizzies in Lost City, hands down. From the way he spam skills to the way he flies around on a toothpick, everything about him is gracious. While I do think that the wizzies already mentioned are pretty good, they do not hold a candle against Wadzio.

That, plus the fact is, the game is +12 rank 9 now or gtfo for the most part. A video of a wizard pking against an uncharmed bm from months and months ago with even rank 8 +10 bears little resemblance to what people would find in the game today.
