Pets and plants - questions

Read the guide and it was pretty good. But when it comes to pets and plants, the only thing said was, essentially, do what you want. it's personal preference.

Can someone provide a little more insight, please? I use my chiyhu almost exclusively - similarly to the way i use my veno pets. Havent found mush use for storm mistress, especially since her strength seems to lie in skills and the pets run thru mp faster than i do. At least the chiyhu can keep hitting well without mp-based skills.

So - question - how do i make the best use of mystic pets? Do i use them like the veno does (wouldn't think so) and let them be the main tank? Do I stop often (every mob??) and transfer more mp to them? Any insight would be appreciated.

Plants - starting to learn more about these, but find so far that punishing sting is most useful and then mostly if a mob respawns rapidly in one small area - set up the sting and it grabs the mob every spawn and aids more in killing it. Or, for bosses, set it up to assist with the boss and explode it (lysing) to help take out adds - think it aoe's on explosion???). Haven't used the others much, but still only a baby mystic (finishing up 29 culti).

    Why does everyone think storm mistress is useless? Ever since I got her, its been the only pet I ever use. I LOVE HER. Even more on [?] bosses. I don't even use chihyu anymore. Storm Mistress for PvE and Salvation for PvP. Just bought demon mistress for 500k so I'll probably start using mistress in PvP more.

    500K :O wow I'm officially done from making skill books QQ I got mine from making all the pages but I hardly ever see anyone selling demon skills and when I do it's for 5mil+ but I have heard from other people they find them cheaper idk maybe just my bad luck >.>

    Most useful plants? Befuddling Creeper (in all cases). In some cases, (mostly PVP) Listless Blossom.

    Healing Herb and Vital Herb, if you can't figure out why to get these, reroll plz T.T

    As for pets....I almost ALWAYS use Devil, and Salvation...Sometimes Storm Mistress on bosses, but usually just Devil to take out mobs, etc and Salvation sometimes when I wanna be pro and try tanking mobs lololol<3

    Bear in mind that pre-75 she's an almost unbearable drain on MP unless one has tons of money for charms or a hefty stock of Sesame Yuanxiao, so a lot of people are probably going to neglect her for a good while and just stick with the more cost-effective Devil. And since first impressions tend to stick...it's not hard to see why people get the wrong impression and think Mistress is useless. D=

    Even pre-75 I loved mistress and used her constantly.

    I find her incredibly useful too. But that's only because I don't have to worry about the MP to fuel her. The same reason you could make proper use of her I'm sure. But to new players, or those that don't have some sort of steady means of disposable income (either in-game or IRL) to fuel their apo/charm/pot binging, she's simply not going to be very appealing compared to Devil, who remains relatively useful even without having to feed him MP every few mobs.

    Totally agreed.. She does nice dmg but only if pumped with MP.. And that's why it's so hard to use her at lower lvls. Devil is still useful with his phy dmg without MP burning.
    I also tend to use Punishing Sting at bosses for some extra dmg.. And maybe i didnt get the use of befudding creaper (yeah ok debuff so what? >_>) but i never use it nor any other plants except healing/vital and punishing.

    At lower lvls I used devil alot since i didnt have to feed mana to him as much. Now I hardly use devil, and my main pets are salvation and mistress. As for plant summons, I only use sting on fc heads, and use creeper or spidervine for debuffs. Also use healing and vital herb for aoe heals.

    Thanks for the responses. Yes, still quite ow lvl so storm mistress is probably not too viable yet. will look to use her more as mp is less of a problem.

    Will experiment more with the different plants to see what they can do.

    Also, so far as I've seen, (8x) mp never really becomes less of a problem, my advice is to stock up on pots or charms for sure. The regen powders help as well. Hope all this helps.
