Really guys, this is getting out of hand. Even from a marketing standpoint, the Duke shouts have outlived their benefits. In China they may like to spam the hell out of each other with horns and see a screen full of red text that makes it impossible to read anything, but here, we've had enough.

Either shut the duke up and put him back to the announcing state he was in two years ago, or give us the option to turn him the frack off.

    I would like the option to turn him off as well. I dont see the point why we have to constantly see who obtained a BToL..

    It never encouraged me to cashshop more, although it has encouraged me to kill people who open tons of packs. b:chuckle (Hey, they might drop some!)

    i made the normal chatt as small as possible and only
    talk with the friend-msg-thing

    Thats not a good solution but better than being spammed 24/7

    While I know they wont Shut him up. I still think and agree we should be allowed to turn him off, maybe make him not system and make him duke or something. I know they want us to see how many people win so we can buy packs, but tbh it is more annoying then convincing.

    Frankie has answered this before: basically, PWE just doesn't give a living **** what we all want in regards to shutting duke up in regards to stopping the Duke shouts regarding ToBL's, so they are going to refuse to mute him, or allow us to ignore him.

    It doesn't matter if it causes players to ignore GM announcements, emergency announcements, or anything similar, since it's simply a way for PWE to rub in our faces that they can make money off us.

    I'd pay PWI to have the option to mute him. 10 gold? 20, 50, 200? I really don't care. He spams my chat windows way too much, sorry.

    1. Move Duke to his own channel instead of the System channel.
    2. Give us the option to uncheck that channel.

    At least I'm given the option to uncheck WC from other tabs. Give us something similar DX.

    To an extent I agree duke could be shut up.
    Though think of it this way.
    If you want to be able to complaine about gold prices.
    This would be showing why they go up so dam much.
    Add in the fact that this is done daily generally. This is why gold keeps going up or stays so high.
    However at the same time. If anybody else was here during the VERY first pack sale. I mean before anni packs even. Very few here are from then.
    The halloween packs mind you within reason showed a lot of ppl the same thing. Yet when anni packs came out people went crazy and they didn't shut up duke for over 3 days.

    Yet after a time duke slowed down because it drove ppl crazyb:chuckle. This I think is based off that to an extent the more spam you see the more upset over it you become.

    Then people stop opening packs to an extent. Believe me this does happen. The orange spam is hellish and drives even pack openers nuts. It's why they tend to open less packs. It also reminds us how much people pay for this game as well. Think about it a sec.

    How much do people pay for this game. check the pack % values then see the items and tell me that they do not spend tons of ingame gold or real money at some point. For the duke to spam that much and the names over an over.

    Heh, I'm fairly new and I'll admit Duke is turning me a bit off from play at all. Makes it hard to talk to people in game.

    Hey all, we didn't mean for the Duke to behave this way - shouting for so many different items, but as sometimes happens with larger patches, he has reverted to his default behavior. It's definitely on the list of fixes for the next patch.

    I honestly "like" this spam. Why? because I can see all the items that are coming from packs. So I can know if people are opening and what is coming out. I can even pm them before they world chat to buy what they got from packs, and it has worked, lol.

    Someone please create a flash game where we can aim at Duke with rotten tomatoes or play whack-a-mole with him as a target.

    But more seriously, I'd really enjoy if he was going back to his original functions. If this would not happen, I surely would not complain about a 'Mute da Duke' option (and whoever would do that, I'd praise him/her forever, unless he/she is responsible for other kinds of mess in this game).

    But seriously, Duke needs to shut up. Permanently. So yes, an option to mute Duke would be the most awesome solution ever. It gives each their own preference. Want to spam people endlessly trying to buy the items they "won"? By all means, don't disable him then. But for the majority of people that get annoyed to hell and back due to Duke spamming our precious chat window, this would be double, no wait, a triple victory.

    Also, stating it was not the intention of him reverting back to his super spam routine, is just plain weird. How does that "accidentally" happen? I might just be a total nab about this then, but according to me someone has to have had to revert him. Doing this by mistake is ... odd. If I'm missing something here, by all means, explain this to me. Enlightenment is another step to learning the PW mechanics better.
