Connection issues

Hi, I'm having trouble connecting to the server. I've tried other servers and I've had no luck. This is the first time I've had this problem, so I very much doubt it's the IP address being disallowed. When I try to log in, the message I get is "Unable to connect to server". I first had the problem, then I patched the game, and now I have the problem again. I've looked through the knowledge base and such and I can't find anything to help.

Little help please? I'd quite like to continue playing.

    MAINTENANCE happens every Tuesday-Wednesday morning from 2am-4am EST or 1am-3am PST, 11pm-1am PDT... pick your timezone.

    All servers are down until it's done - try checking the General Discussion forum - it's announced every week.

    Oh, that's odd. Because on the site it says that all servers are online...

    Yes - maintenance supposedly just ended about 2 minutes ago. It is quite possible that the servers are back up - you need to close out of the game completely and if the servers are indeed done updating and are up - then you will get a notice to Patch.

    the patcher has vanished from my system after the game update i have tried reinstalling i run the update then it says update success full then when i run updater again it says invalid shortcut
