Hey hey BM's!

Little Mystic visiting your forums with a question regarding BM pvp.

BM's are usually a very fun fight for a Mystics and I greatly enjoy fighting them.

But every once in a while I find that I barley scratch some BM's for a certain period of time. I know it isn't an Apoth pot because this happened soon after an Irongiard wore off.
He was in mostly tt-99 gear and after a period of time he died quickly as if something had wore off him.

My question is did he use a specific BM move that reduced his damage for a period? And if so how long does it tend to last?

Thx everyone for your help! I seem to be stumped!

I know there's a BM specific genie skill called balance. It absorbs damage according to whichever of your defenses is higher. For most BMs their magical defense is lower, so it absorbs magic damage.
Not sure if this is it, but might be.

Yes, because the magic marrow that lowers phys def by 90% and raises mag def by 150% will totaly create a mag sheild with balance, and bms totaly turn on phys marrow use similar geni stam to AD then mag marrow just for a sheild.

No reason to be sarcastic, I was informing her of a genie skill I was aware of. CLEARLY I'm not a BM, therefore I don't know the in's and out's of BM skills. Thanks. >.>

Lots of hostility in the BM forums it seems. b:chuckle

I do appreciate the info, it was what I was expecting but just wanted to make sure.

The BM I fought was pretty cleaver and ran away as soon as his buffs/Apoth pots were on cooldown until he used them again.

I suppose my best option may be to kite them until there defensive buffs wear off.

    Thx again for the help!

I think he learned a little bit. I have sage Energy leech which gives me 9 Seconds of stun immunity and I can usually time it pretty well to negate there stuns. It also gives me a healthy defensive boost for 20 secs as well to survive the aps.

I only have about 7.5k Phy defense and 5k+ hp so I do need to work on my gear a lot more as well.

Kiting off TE doesnt work too well, as it lasts 15 seconds, and the cooldown is just 20 seconds (works with any amount of energy so Cooldown/planning is the only reason a BM would hold off on it I usually wait till after I occult before using TE although mages channeling bids or antistun sparking will cause me to use it early), meaning all the BM's stuns are now available again (as roar has a 13 second cooldown) it is possible to stop them from using TE by being far enough away but its pretty hard to hold a BM at that range (considering he wants to move in, so any time you stop he can close and TE/Stun).

Generally you just have to DD through it depending on genie strength it will absorb 5-10k magic damage before falling, depending on which pet you are using you can pet stun, have the pet add magic damage to help bring down the shield, knockback, use anti stun pots or skills to avoid the bms stuns, use the 79 skill to reduce incoming damage (leech first so you dont get sealed), most BM's on harshlands have terrible HP so they will die fast once the shield is down, BM's have the shortest cooldowns on control skills so letting them live too long is usually unwise unless you have no choice as eventually you will run out of antistuns and then you will be extremely vunerable to the BM.

    Incredibly insightful.

Thx for your information, it seems I'll just have to make use of my cooldowns earlier and try to end the fight more quickly.

Also can't hurt to try and refine my gear higher. Maybe well have a D.orb sell this week.
