I'm wanting to delete one of the characters on my account, but why do we have to wait a whole week for the changes to take affect?

I really wish there was a way to instantly delete themb:surrender

It's to prevent people from deleting their character from rage and regretting it. 7 days is more then enough to calm down from QQing and think rationally about deleting the character.

Because people get drunk or emo and do things before thinking it through, like deleting all their chars because their e-waif divorced. They might regret it a few days later :/

Also someone could get a hold of your account and delete. Mistakes does happen even though you dont intentionally share your info or visit phishing sites.

For example your pwi info might be similar to one you use on a guild forum, and someone with admin finds out that way. You might leave pass words on a document on your computer and your sibling/spouse/room mate decides to be an ***.

I actually think it should be more than 1 week before a char is deleted.

Everything that Chickpea said, feeling emo, getting e-divorced and family members finding
your info and being jerks :x

It would suck to spend 100s on the game, and delete everything in one night of raging XD.

Probably already been said but I'd just like to up my post count. Gives people time to cool down so they don't rage quit, and protects you from getting your characters deleted if you get ****.

Or you decide you actually enjoy playing that hard-to-level [insert class here] after all. It happens.

I think it was quite a smart idea to make you wait. However, it would be awsome if you could chose how many days you wish to wait, the minumun being 3 days or somthing like that. b:shy
